The host, Juliet, and her staff at this well-preserved Riad were outstanding on every level! It is very apparent how rude effort and pride is poured in to the guest experience. The rooms are perfectly immaculate and you are made to feel right at home. There is always someone there to help with directions or advice, which proved to be invaluable in a Medina that one can easily get lost in. We had a traditional breakfast spread each morning and treated ourselves to dinner at the Riad one night, which was some of the best tajine we had our entire trip! I can't say enough wonderful things about our stay and would definitely stay here if we ever visit Fes again!

Kind and informative hosts, great communication, lovely decor
The bathroom was quite small and there wasn’t a separation between the shower and toilet/sink. It was quite noisy at night (until about 23:00) with people knocking at the front door to be let in or general street noise.

The food was excellent, the room was clean, quiet and had it’s privacy. The hosts were extremely kind, generous and helpful and made our first stay in Fez the best it could be by organising quad trips, numerous taxis and a guided tour of the medina. All in all we had such a wonderful stay, and everything was to like about the Dar Guennoun. I 100% recommended it to anyone who wants to discover Morocco and feel like homme once they are back at the Riad !

Extraordinary lady that does the food and takes care of the linings. Without speaking any language other then Arabic we got fully understood.

The wonderful staff made us feel like home and helped us with every question (e.g. organization of a city guide). The breakfast was amazing, and the best Tajine during our 3 weeks in Morocco was definitely the one we got here!! The area was quiet, but everything was in walking distance. We would highly recommend to stay at this beautiful place.

Great staff, nice breakfast, very accommodating.
Google map location was different than actual location, so I got quite lost trying to find the place initially.

Beautifully and lovingly restored and decorated house. Spacious rooms. My husband and I were staying in Abdul suite (free upgrade we've got when we arrived in Riad) and our daughter was staying in Sophia room. We were welcomed with tea and were given tour of the riad. As we were the only guests at the time we could select in which rooms to stay. Lovely breakfast was served on the roof terrace. And the highlight of our stay - we asked Abdul (the owner of the riad) for a traditional Moroccan meal and got dinner of 3 tagins served for us on the roof terrace. Meal was delicious.
Special thanks for Salim and Zeinab who welcome us and taking care of us while we were staying in the riad. Riad is located in the Medina, but in a quiet spot, 5 min walk from the parking just outside of the Medina walls.
You pretty much can see all of the Medina from the roof terrace.
As all Moroccan houses it has narrow steep stairs, so if you are staying just for couple of nights, it makes no sense to get all your luggage to the riad - have couple of backpacks, so you can take whatever you need for the duration of your stay (I would recommend it for all places in Morocco if you stay in the Medina where you cannot park your car next to the house).
Definitely will stay again there and recommend it.

The owners (Abdul and Juliet) were very kind and thoughtful with us. The Riad is a beautiful nicely decorated traditional old house of Abdul's family, located very close to the Medina (five minutes on foot). The room was richly furnished in traditional style. The breakfast, served in the terrace at the top of the house, was really abundant.
As many Riad in the Medina, it is accessible only on foot. Fortunately a parking is located not too far and Abdul is available to meet the clients at the entrance of the old city.

Hospitality if the owners & staff
1. Somewhat Difficult to find the location especially via Car.
2. No bidet

The hosts and staff were delightful, generous in their suggestions, made me feel part of a family. I got a free upgrade of room. The rooms are elegantly and richly decorated, with great care for the detail. Breakfast on the rooftop was rich and fresh, and the view never failed me, no matter the time of the day. The position, slightly off of the centre of the medina, is actually an asset, as it is easy to find (not at all a small thing in Fes!) and very close to a cab station. The hosts arranged for an official guide to walk me around in the Medina, which was an excellent experience (ask for Rachid).

The riad is decorated in a traditional manner but withouth being tacky, something that happens in other riads accross Morocco.
Staff was extremely nice and helpful, including owners Abdul and Juliet.
Breakfast in the terrace is superb.
The riad has just reopened and needs to fix a few minor issues such as lack of credit card machine and printer.
Insulation of the rooms can be improved, noise and cold, especially in the bathroom enter easily due to old windows.

Staff were extremely helpful from the moment we booked, especially with airport transfer. Very welcoming with mint tea on arrival. During our staff, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was traditional and plentiful.
Decor and location were fabulous. Roof terrace had awesome views. Can definitely recommend.
Beds were too hard for us but bearable for 3 night stay.
