Great value for money for a one-person bedroom

The room is spacious and has most facilities within the room so you don’t have to go out all the time. It’s good value for money for a one-person bedroom. The staff is very kind and explains admin and facilities very well.

The building has very bad sound proofing, I can hear talking clearly from the other room. Carrying luggage to 4th floor is a little bit of a challenge. The shared toilet is a little stinky sometimes.

Great budget stay in the city centre

I liked everything about this places for that price! Located really close to the main train station. Warm welcome from owners and a tour around the place. You can back to the room whenever you want, shower facilities were nice.

Exceptional

The location was super good, close by and super nice. Felt really safe to walk even later at night! Also a 2 min walk and you have the subway.Also Maria was amazing, she gave tips and was so sweet! Recommendation? Yes!

Maria is an excellent host and the location is great and the price is cheap

Extremely uncomfortable beds with the pillows in particular the worst I've ever seen in a hotel providing a bad night's sleep. The building is very old and given there is no amenity and the bathroom is shared, it is not worth the €10-15 saving.

lack of elevators but if you don’t have large heavy suitcases you should he fine! stairs are a great exercise :)

Clean quite residential apartment.

No elevator/lift and you have to hike 3 to 5 flights of stairs to reach your room.

In a good location, short walk to the train station and old town. It's on a quiet residential street with numerous great restaurants and bars within a block. The owners are super friendly and will go above and beyond to help or give you local travel tips. Comfy bed, clead room and bathroom. Surprised their was a shower and sink in the room.

Great stay at Gästehaus Grupello

We had a great stay at Gästehaus Grupello. The owners were really kind and explained us about the neighbourhood and things to see around Düsseldorf. We could borrow a kettle for hot water in the room as well. The beds were very comfortable and the room was definitely warm enough.

A perfect place to stay for a weekend.

Near the train station, room and shared bathroom are clean. Very friendly staff, Maria provided a map and explained what places I need to visit. Also I was able to make early check-in.

Maybe only sound insulation effect is not good, I often hear voices from the neighbor rooms.

Best stay ever

The location was so good, close by and super nice. Felt really safe to walk even later at night! Also a 2 min walk and you have the subway and tram so aahh love it. Also the host maria was amazing she gave tips and was so sweet! Loved every every second of my stay. Even got a kettle to boil water so i could drink tea in the morning. I had an amazing view!

It was so clean and well-arranged. The room was spacious for one though. Staff promptly assisted when i needed help.

My room was on the 5th floor and they dont have an elevator. So you better keep that in mind if you have many baggages. Heater took time to warm the room up and had loud noise sometimes.

Exceptional

Everything! Our room, the bathroom, the location, the host. It was our first time in Dusseldorf and Maria showed us which places we need to visit and gave us recommendations for food, drinks. The room was very big and it had great view. On our departure day, we were able to leave our backpacks in the guesthouse and go explore the city for a couple of hours before our next destination.

Nice price, great host, best location, low-level accomodation

Maria is a really nice owner. She welcomed my boyfriend and me with a hearty greeting and a well-prepared information pack. The guesthouse is in the city centre, close to the most touristy places and the train station.

I have read again but still can't find the info about the room not having a private bathroom but a shared one. It was OK for the price but this can be important to know for others. Also, the walls are not so thick, we could hear many things from the bathroom and the chat of the neighbours. But if you don't want to spend to much time in the room (and why would you? :) ), these are all acceptable for the nice price.

Very kind and helpful staff. Clean place. Good location. A shop and metro station are nearby. The Old town is a 20-minute walk away.
