Would recommend to anyone but shame about the weather!!!

Too many accommodations can be mean on space, Ranivan cannot be accused of this. Parking was also a plus point.

No shaver point.

Lovely Guest House near the heart of Oban

Great location just a short walk to the centre of Oban. Private off street parking. Large room with modern bathroom, cooler machine was a nice added bonus

Shower was great but would be even better with a shelf for soaps, body was and shampoo

Very nice

The location was excellent and rooms very clean

We had to cut our stay short due to a medical appointment back home. We tried to change our reservation from two nights to one. No accommodation could be made so we paid for 3 rooms 2 nights and only stayed one night.

Great location, good shower and free parking but bed could have been more comfortable.

Great location, just minutes from town or the pier. Ample free parking. Good, roomy shower (Room #7)

Front door was fidgety to open and close. Our bed was not that comfortable (Room 7). No maid service or clean towels provided on Day 2. Communication was only via Booking.com portal which was cumbersome. A person on the property would have been nice.

Pleasant.

Location and the size of the room.

The parking is very tight which I did not know at the time of booking. There are 8 rooms with only 5 spots for parking. No reception. There was no hand wash / gel in the room. Heating cannot be adjusted.

Raniven is conveniently located close to pubs, shops, the train station and the ferry terminal. Our room (#6) was very cozy and our surroundings quiet - even though there was a storm at the time! the TV in our room even had Netflix for when we needed some downtime. It even had a cupboard for storage. The coffee machine and kettle were a blessing and Liam, the host, was just an email away! thank you! we’ll definitely be back.

spotless, located far enough away from main streets, beds were so comfortable.

room 8 was on the small side nothing to hang close on, had to live out of a case.

Nice facility, but the public relations/ communications by the owners needs a lot of improvement..

Room was very pleasant and clean.

No one informed me that check in would be “on our own “ without an on site host. I was not informed that I should be sure to check my email the day of arrival to receive instructions on the check in procedure. Only because another guest leaving the guesthouse were we able to get the needed check in information. Not, in my opinion, a welcoming way to greet a guest!

Perfect place for a few nights in Oban

Perfect location, modern, clean, comfortable. Communication was great and the check in and check out processes were smooth. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

Spectaular base in Oban.

This is an excellent location with off street parking available. Dont worry about breakfast because it is close to anything you’d want. When you don’t feel like staying in town you are close enough to drive up to Glen Coe or Fort Williams. Will stay here again when back in Oban.

No fault of the property but parking can be tight if someone doesn’t pay attention to how they pull in. Nothing that caused any problem unless you are a nervous driver.

Overall very pleased.

The location was excellent being just a few minutes walk from the centre of town. The accommodation was immaculately clean and well appointed, and you couldn't complain about the price.

There were 8 apartments and only 5 parking spaces. The on street parking was restricted to certain hours so you couldn't really use that, we therefore had to park on Croft Avenue a couple of minutes walk further away from town when we couldn't get in at apartments. The mattress on the bed didn't suit my wife as it gave her a bad back for the most of each morning, and the duck feather pillows could probably do with a refresh.

Lovely stay in a well appointed room close to town

Modern , clean and comfortable. very handy for town. easy access with key store. Good tea and coffee facilities.

Simple, small and clean room. Good for a night or 2.

Location was good and room was very clean. I was also very thankful for the parking!

The room was smaller than I'd expected and it was very hard to figure out the locking door (it would be nice if they posted instructions about lifting the handle up so that everyone would lock the door). We don't have those kind of doors in the USA and I only knew to lift the handle from another property I'd been at where they'd posted instructions in the door. I often found that the door was left unlocked which is a safety concern.

excellent stay would recommend to friends and certainly would book again

Raniven guest house was flawless it was spotlessly clean and the room was large enough for our needs

parking could be an issue, we had no problem but the proprietor could look into maybe permits for on street parking for the 3 parking parking 8 rooms and only 5apacea not good. me on website that street parking is metered therefore permits for guests would be most welcome

A beautiful stay in a beautiful guest house in a beautiful town. Loved it!

The location, the cleanliness and the size of the bed and bath.

No breakfast but we knew that when we booked so not really an issue. Be careful to check your emails as I didn’t and waited to be checked in 😂

We had a lovely time. The only downside was the weather as it was wind and rain for most of our stay

The apartment was spotless and gaining access was straightforward even though we didn't meet the owners/managers. The instructions were clear and the location was great. The shower was great with plenty of hot water.

The sink in the bathroom was too small and you couldn't really wash your face in it.

Everything, our little apartment was fantastic. Clean, comfortable and perfect location. Couldn't of been more perfect. We lived every moment!! Defo recommend and will stay again if we go to scotland! 10 out of 10
