They layout of the Property. The Kitchen/Diner was a great focal point of the stay. And the hot tub!
Location to local Pub, Church Stretton and The National Trust Carding Long Mill.
Temperamental heating.

Clean comfortable and warm house with everything you could need. The hot tub was a great bonus after a day exploring.

The open plan kitchen diner was very relaxing and we spent most of our time in it! The hot tub was a welcomed experience. The lovely Richard came round to meet and greet and show us how to use the hot tub and later to fix the power cut - very friendly and approachable. The quiet location was ideal and everyone was very friendly and helpful. The walks and scenery were wonderful! Access to the town was nearby (Church Stretton) - a good stretch of the legs but well worth it, particularly the bluebell wood behind the rectory! The lady in the Entertaining Elephants shop went above and beyond in helping me with my dog biscuits - bless you! Look out for the market day in Church Stretton on a Thursday and the wonderful fruit, veg, eggs and plants outside the house in Farm Lane by the barns if you don't fancy the drive/walk.
The fencing was not adequate enough to stop the dogs from seeing each other and safeguard either my dog or the two dogs next door despite me putting the garden furniture along the fence, so I could only let my dog out in the garden when theirs were in, which was not very often, restricting my dog's access to the property's garden and to save unnecessary barking and upset from all pets and owners concerned! As I purposely booked a 'dog friendly' cottage I was bemused to see a sign on the downstairs bedroom door along with one on the living room door stating 'no dogs allowed'? This restricted our pooch to the kitchen diner? That and the garden incidents left me feeling a bit disappointed for our little nervous rescue dog who is human but not dog friendly. I also thought it was only 2 barns when in fact it was 4 in a courtyard plus a house so not so isolated as I thought! Still a lovely place to stay - I must read the small print better next time!

Great location, walking distance to access Church Stretton with all its facilities and Long Mynd and other local beauty spots. Plenty of parking, friendly host and hot tub was a bonus.
The property was a bit tired and need of a spruce up and although bedding and towels and bathroom were nice and clean the accommodation was generally bit grubby and would benefit from a through clean.

Comfortable, clean and roomy accommodation for 4 plus two dogs. Great location for walking or cycling around the Strettons; great base for visiting Ludlow, Shrewsbury and the like. Quiet at night time.
Neighbours that hot tub in the morning and in the evening! I mean, really?

good value for money, location - walking distance from village. Quiet and good parking.
Bathroom could do with an update. Stair case needed some maintenance.
