The Demeures is beautiful, relaxing and well run. The courtyard around the pool is delightful- breakfast, lunch dinner or just hanging out.
Food is delicious. We liked it even better than the other great restaurants we ate at.
The staff is wonderful and simply superb! Nothing was too much trouble. Booking taxis, reservations, helping with everything!
Rooms are large and comfortable.
We met Zoë, the owner/manager who explained that her mother and grandmother had designed and built this special retreat and many of the staff have been with them from the beginning. All that love for their business and commitment to perfect service surely showed in our experience of staying there!
The only thing to be aware of is that the hotel is tucked away in a maze of small streets. Taxis can easily find it. But don’t plan to go out walking. Traffic on main streets is downright scary😁

Very friendly and helpful staff. Location within the Medina was good. Romantic place to stay. The pool in the central courtyard was lovely and a necessity in the 40+ degree heat.
Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our room kept cutting out. Eventually, we were moved to a different room but it had already impacted upon comfort and sleep. The breakfast was ok.

Everything about our six night stay was relaxing and perfect. Our suite was sprawling, beautifully decorated and ideal for me and my two teen boys: truly the most beautiful room we've ever stayed in. The courtyard was a magical oasis of calm. Staff was friendly and attentive (and refused tips), and Zoe, the owner, quick to help with our every request -- and even to hand deliver and administer a Moroccan cure for my son's upset stomach! Honestly, she made us feel so welcome and at home. The location was ideal, the kids playing soccer nearby in the medina a complete non-issue (they even passed the ball to us a couple times as we passed by). Bonus: expansive roof space for stargazing and listening to the call to prayer, and excellent dinners.
The only thing I didn't like is that I had to leave.
4.5
Beautiful hotel. Our suite couldn’t have been better. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.
If I have to be critical I would say our dinner was a little overpriced and the vegetarian offerings could have been more plentiful.

Every thing.

Worth staying in a Riad and not in a chain hotel as it is a unique experience. The rooms have air conditioning, wifi and refrigerators which was very convenient. This Riad is in the north end of the Medina – about a 15-20 mins walk to the main mosque and taxi’s are available (lots of the Riad’s are not accessible by car so this is a nice feature). Has a lovely pool in the courtyard and a rooftop deck where you can relax in the sun. They also have a spa and private Hammam if you are interested in that. Would highly recommend you accept their offer to arrange pick up from the airport. Staff were very helpful and friendly and able to arrange taxis as needed. Breakfast is included and is served poolside. It follows the same formula each day with croissant, muffins, cakes, pancakes, with a boiled egg, fruit and yogurt. Fruit and pastries change daily, and the poolside setting is lovely. We had dinner there one night which was nice not to have to go out on our first night – the Tagine’s were very nice and we were able to find a nice wine.

great staff, lovely breakfast, towels need to be replaced as a bit tired

Lovely property, great location and everyone was polite and considerate.

Staff where great, food was lovely and the Riad was beautiful. We where able to drive in as they had parking outside the front. It's little far from the main square if you don't know the place.
I'm 99% certain, the towels around the pool the didn't wash but instead folded back up and put on the sun loungers, so other guests would have just thought that they were fresh towels and used them. It's also not a warm poole, I don't mind especially in the heat, but when they say heated you think not cold.
Apart from this the whole thing was great.
4.5
Excellent location only a 15 minute walk to get to the square. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was excellent. Our room was very spacious and clean
Menu at lunch could have been a bit better and there could have been more staff around to serve drinks. We spent a few hours on the rooftop terrace and there was no staff up there .

It's a really nice riad. The staff were really great and helpful and they arranged everything for you. Having the spa was also fantastic in there. Would highly recommend. What was also really nice was they gave us a driver who we could use to travel to places within Marrakesh - this was so important in a city like this where it is hard to not get scammed by the taxis. Great driver - really liked Youseff. I forget the name of the gentleman who provided us the details, I think he was the manager - but he was very helpful and awesome. Thank you so much for making our stay so pleasant.
Not too much to not like. Overall it was a great stay.

The breakfast can have wider range of food.

poor breakfast, almost nothing for vegans

Beautiful riad. Staff were friendly and attentive. Tea and cookies on arrival were so delicious!
Every night on returning to the riad local children would yell obscenities at us or try and run us over with their bikes immediately outside the hotel. Essentially we were being bullied by a load of 9 year olds 🤣. It became a bit draining after a few nights.

Location was great! walking distance to the best restaurants and nearby souk! The pool was also very good and loads of space to sunbathe and relax!
The bed was very hard and the breakfast was disappointing! There was no fruit option and the amount of bees was a bit shocking. Would be so much easier if they did the breakfast indoors and you can have it outdoors if you prefer. It would be nicer if they had more local fruits and a traditional breakfast. For a 5 star hotel was very sad!

The property is run by the 3rd generation of women, and it shows in every detail. So much love goes into every detail, eg there are real candles in the chandelier. It is the perfect romantic getaway, it‘s nicely located in the middle of everything, but if you wanna get away from the hassle of the souk, you get to go back into your little haven. The room was huge, even with a fireplace and big enough cupboards; with a extraordinarily beautiful bathroom and supercomfortable beds.
In high season it might get a little crowded by the pool.

My 21 year old daughter and I visited Marrakech and had the most wonderful time. I had visited 10 years before and knew I wanted an authentic Riad. Demeures D’Orient has the most incredible feeling of calm and beauty the minute you are welcomed through it’s doors. It is strikingly beautiful, the centre courtyard has a good size swimming pool with dining tables and Moroccan lounge areas set around it. Palm and orange trees are entwined with pink and Orange hibiscus. Close your eyes and listen to the bird song and water fountain, it is magical. I could go in and on! Our bedroom was just incredible, the Jade Flower suite, overlooking the courtyard, had everything and more that we needed. The location was perfect in the northern part of the Medina close to the souks. We had a massage at their hammam and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. But what made it feel extra special was Zoe, the owners daughter who manages the property and her staff,
most of whom we got to know by name, and who I believe most have been there from the start 15 years ago, cannot do more for you. The chef Rasheed took us through cooking our Moroccan lunch with charm and music! Such fun! Thank you, we can’t wait to come back and we cannot wait to return!

Our recent stay at this property was incredible! It definitely exceeded our expectations. We had dinner there once and took advantage of on-site spa services. They booked us private excursions outside Marrakech and helped with restaurant reservations within Marrakech. Everything was really good and the service seamless. We requested change of room after first night (the bath was a little risky to get in), and Zoe made that happen immediately (it was a newly decorated room, so they will be taking care of that). The hospitality that the staff extends is simply amazing and they do everything that they can to make your stay comfortable and memorable!

Exceptional riad, right in the heart of Marrakech's Medina. Beautifully decorated rooms with the added touch of a roaring fireplace in the evening. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the warm welcome from Zoe and staff was outstanding.

Location and riad design is still ok.
Disappointed. Whole place is overrated. Reception manager we've been lucky to trip over spoiled all the joy staying at the place: didn't managed to explain how to park around and left us hanging with local beggars, requesting to pay upfront for everything, turning magic joy of staying at riad in the heart of Marrakesh into "heck-your-needs-money-first" awful experiece. Even average 3* star hotel would perform better.

In the Medina, bit in north, so you can reach most major attractions within 30 minutes walking. Very nice pool, very good dinner with romantically lit ambiance. Super nice rooms (the suites that were) and friendly staff.
Nice roof terrace.
Bit hard to find.

Charm and beauty of the property, the staff, our suite, the spa, the Resturant. The owner Zoè, was kind and welcoming.
Nothing. Wish we could stay longer.
