The hostess was charming on arrival and very helpful with suggestions of places to go.
There was no parking and the room was very small.

Room#7 was perfect. Cathedral view. The windows opened and the room was delightfully airy. Got the best nights sleep!!
Parking was a bit of an issue.

Location and breakfast are great
5pm check in….
Parking was difficult.
4.3
Our hostess who was delightful and eager to please.
The very generous continental breakfast.
The lack of a lift to the second floor with heavy bags.
4.3
Very clean and comfortable. Close to the cathedral and plenty of restaurants nearby
No bar fridge in the room

Spacious room, accommodating host, complete breakfast, easy walk to Normandy tours departure point, train station, restaurants, and museums.

Breakfast was excellent! Fresh fruit and cheese was an amazing addition to the normal pastries and coffee.
The only drawback was that we traveled from Paris to Bayeux hoping to drop our luggage so that we could make it to St Mere Iglise for the rest of the day. The limited hours and locked doors were a disappointment. We did not want to check in as we were told it wasn’t until 5pm but to leave our luggage there would have been preferable.

Very nice room and bath - comfortable and inviting!
Staff was wonderful, efficient and informative - excellent breakfast too!

Breakfast - excellent choice of continental breakfast in a wonderful family style table. Loved that they offered fruits and the coffee was excellent. It was so nice being able to have breakfast with the other guests.
Room - was big enough for my 6'3" husband. We loved the view of the beautiful cathedral.
Location - was perfect just a block from the Cathedral and the Bayeux Tapistre and quiet.
Everything was fine and don't have any complaints.

I liked the location to the centre of Bayeux, and the quirky nature of the building. Also easy parking in a side street. no paying.
bathroom quite small.

The manageress was very attentive. The breakfasts were good with plenty of choice. The location was excellent for walking to the museums and restaurants. One bedroom was spacious with three chairs and typically french. Our second room was small and a complete contrast in style and decor (modern) although still very comfortable and had a fantastic view of the cathedral
Our second room was very noisy on the roof when it was raining and woke us up. The cars were parked on what remains of a lawn which was very muddy with puddles.

All went very well, thank-you !

Great breakfast, charming rooms, pleasant hosts. Excellent location. 5 min walk to the center, and 10 min walk from the train station.
4.3
location, the breakfast, friendly staff, spacious
the pipes were sort of load and I could hear The person above us moving around and coughing.

Francoise and Severine are amazing hosts at Castel. Our first floor room, with a view to the Cathedral, was more than adequate. Access,to our room, outside hpurs was vwey easy.
Breakfast was a remarkable experience. From freshly squeezed jiuce and baked sweet/savoury foods, there are many breakfast options to choose from., Breakfast is a highlight at Le Castel.
The 5pm checkin is quite late for most travellers.

excellent location
bathroom very small as was room with the mattress almost on the floor.

very close to the town, restaurants, and museums. The owner was friendly and helpful and served a wonderful breakfast.
Thé property did not have an elevator making it more difficult to reach the upper floors.

We enjoyed a lovely three day stay at this property, which is ideally located with a short walk into Bayeux and near many attractions. Severine was very hospitable and helpful to us during our stay.
Everything was fine.
4.3
The property was very clean and spacious. It was pretty convenient to the town and near the beautiful Cathedral and some wonderful gardens.
The staff was almost nonresponsive and when they did respond, they were unhelpful. They did not come to the door, they did not answer the phone, and when they answered emails, it was in broken English. It was very hard to communicate with them and as a result we wound up carrying our bags all over Bayeux because we had no faith we would be able to retrieve them from the property when it was time for our train.
4.3
the friendliness of the owner and helpful. went out of their way to make our stay wonderful

Very nice old house with a lot of character. It was a very nice room with a wrap around window that provided a 270° view.
Our hosts spoke just enough English and we just enough French to get past a language barrier. (Thank goodness for Google translate)
Breakfast was good, typical European flair.
It was understood, this is a B&B in our host's home and treated as such. Rules that would not apply to a guest house, applied here, IE quiet time, registered guests only were allowed in the rooms.
Nice patio for visiting friends, drinks and just to relax.
A bit of a language barrier, but overcome with language translator apps and patience.

This is one of the loveliest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Just three rooms, in a beautiful old house with 1930s/1940s décor. We stayed for two nights. We stayed in room 3 which is a suite, and it was just gorgeous; really spacious, amazing art deco bathroom and beautiful décor throughout. Everything spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable. Fabulous view of the cathedral from our charming terrace, and also when eating our breakfast outside in the courtyard. Excellent service from Severine and her Mum, who couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was great – simple but good quality and a wide choice of fresh foods. There’s limited parking in the grounds, but if you’re too late for that, there are car parks nearby and some free on street parking. If you’re visiting Bayeux, do stay here – you’ll love it!

Good room with ample bathroom. Great position and good breakfast. Had a view if the cathedral.
Badgered by the madame not to scratch her car with my bike. Why would I do that?
4.3
Great location and charm
Free parking is not free but 5 Euro pay er night. Also, staff/system emailed us at least 4 xs to tell us that we could not lcheck in until 5pm, which started to make us wonder if we were truly welcome. Staff were friendly when we arrived. St
