Fantastic location. You enter the property via a courtyard and then go up 9 steps to a garden and the entrance to the apartment. Off of the foyer is a small powder room with cold water sink and to the left you go up a few steps to a nice kitchen.
Further down the hall is a large dining room and stairs up to the 2nd floor. You enter a pool room and the living room is to the left and a bedroom with a queen size bed to the right.
Another set of stairs brings you to the 3rd floor. Here there is an area to the left with 3 single beds suitable for children that is curtailed off. To the right is a large bathroom with barn doors. Walking through the bathroom is the third bedroom with a queen bed. One wall of this room is shared with the shower and is made up of glass blocks.
The apartment had tall beautiful windows on the 1st and 2nd floor. It is decorated with lots of knickknacks which must be a lot of work to dust.
This apartment is suitable for a family with young children, not for a group of adults. When I booked it , the description said it had 3 bedrooms. When we got there the owner showed us only the bedroom on the 2nd floor and the area with kids beds on the third floor. When I pointed out the reservation was for 3 bedrooms she reluctantly unlocked the 3rd room (which is through the bathroom, has no windows and has a nice view of whoever is showering in the bathroom). This bedroom has no air circulation so is hot even though it was not hot outside.
By North American standards it has one bedroom. The room with kid size beds just has a curtain to partition it from the landing with no door. These beds are only suitable for very small adults.
There is a washing machine which is in a room locked by the owner. She wasn't happy we had more than one load.

Great location - just minutes’ walk to everything.
Lovely large garden area.
Spacious living room/games room.
Very clean throughout.
Very quiet, even though very central.
We had anticipated parking issues, but the owner gave us permits that worked in spaces a few minutes’ walk away.
To load and unload luggage and groceries, you can park momentarily in a paying car park directly across the road.
Great restaurants, cafes etc a short walk from the property.
No second bathroom was available, which had clearly been booked by us, and was in our confirmation email.
There is another bedroom en-suite, with a separate entrance, which I’m sure we were also meant to have, but it was already rented to someone else, so our complaint was pointless.
(I notice that since we booked, the property only mentions one bathroom, but had listed two.)
The one shower between five, was not satisfactory, and was also was not very private, as you had to walk through the room to get one of the bedrooms, or to use the separate loo or sink. The shower door has clear glass, so that was no go.
There were three bedrooms - we were to have four - and two of the three were completely unsuitable for adults.
In one, the two single beds were very small and near the ground, had no private door - just a curtain, and the other had a double bed, but small, and too near the ground also.
In the second bedroom, the attic roof came right to the floor, in a sharp angle, so it was impossible to stand up, on one side of the bed. This made getting in and out of bed a contortionist feat. I still have a stiff neck. The bedside lights could only be switched off on one side, and with the main light on also. Pointless.
The seating in the living room area is really uncomfortable too.
The washing machine turned out to be in the shared courtyard area, which some people might not mind.

The property was lovely, exceedingly clean and spacious. Our hosts were delightful and made us feel like family. We used the washing machine, enjoyed their yard and courtyard for a sip of wine before going out to dinner, and played cards in the evening after dinner. The entire home including kitchen and bath facilities were beautiful. Our granddaughter enjoyed sleeping in the bunk bed - what a treat! The location of the home couldn't have been better - very close to many restaurants, the outdoor market and the cathedral in Bayeux.
Can't think of a thing.

This was perfect for 2 couples. The accommodation was clean and had a kitchen and everything we needed. The location was fantastic - only a few minutes walk into the centre of Bayeux. There was an outdoor area with table and chairs for us to share some afternoon drinks - and it even had a pool table! We would love to return to this beautiful town and would definitely recommend staying at La Closerie Teranga.

The house is exceptional, it sprawl thee floors, with facilities like pool table and beautiful garden. The hosts speak good English and were very friendly. You can see the Bayeux cathedral from the window and it is literally five minutes walk from the house.

The house is extremely large and really old. 3 floors with a lot of space, a pool table and an amazing backyard. It’s also in a great location and the owners were both so friendly!
We loved everything except the smell on the top floor- it smelled like cat pee. Luckily, we could avoid that area has we only had 3 people!

Location was excellent. It's a large facility that families would find attractive. We appreciated the eclectic furnishings.
Parking nearby was convenient and options either cheap or free.
We misunderstood the design of the facility. To clarify:
The bathroom is on the third floor together with a double bedroom and a separate room with three single beds.
A second double room is on the second floor together with a pool table and projector multi media system.
The kitchen is on the lower floor with water closet with small basin (cold water only), a non wifi connected tv and a connected large dining room.
We were led to believe that an external bedroom with salle de bain would be available but at arrival were informed there would be a charge and it had only a water closet ( it is free to parties six or more apparently)
The owner was somewhat indignant that we had not fully understood the situation but I would expect different language interpretations were a factor.
Notwithstanding the above matters we were satisfied with our choice. But make sure the party is happy to share the shower room.

Location in Bayeux was very convenient. Property was beautifully, eclectically and amusingly decorated and furnished. Gardens were lovely and hosts were very nice and accommodating. Kitchen was well equipped for self-catering.
We thought we would have 2 bathrooms, but in actuality, we had one big (lovely) bathroom with a water closet attached on the top floor and a 1/2 bath (toilet and sink) on the ground floor. This made it a little awkward for two retired couples to share. Just a caution to future guests that there are multiple flights of stairs within the apartment to access the kitchen, living and bedrooms. If that isn't an issue, it's a wonderful place.

Personal greeting from the owners, locatio was excellent and there was plenty of space for 4 adults
Whilst it slept 8 there was actually only 3 bedrooms. Only one shower which for 4 people was inconvenient but for 8 would be tough

It is a spacy, clean house with really interesting decoration and surprising features. Very good sound and vision system, a pool table and amazing decoration. We were there as 4 adults, but it is suitable for large families with children as well. The garden is very relaxing and very well maintained. The location is the best it can be in this town. I was really happy with the place and the hosts. Very responsive, nice people.
Nothing.

The garden, the dog, and the daughter.
We were 10 minutes early and the hostess was furious that we hadn’t notified her. She said we could only wash our clothes but not use the dryer. She was irate that a lamp was on in one of our three bedrooms when she entered the house and her opening greeting was, “No, it is impossible! This is MY house!”

Having a house to spread out in, enjoyed the pool table, the yard, the location so close to everything (even laundry)- a great getaway after traveling in Paris! Lovely personable hosts, and such an artistic house- amazing!

Awesome location, interesting decor and very friendly hosts. Also, loved their pets and they made us feel like family. They came over and fixed the projector and showed us how to have a family movie night and went out of their way to share personal medicine with us as one of us was under the weather and it was late at night.
dryer did not work well and towels were a bit rough.

Spacious, well equipped, great location, lots of character
The information on the Booking.com website said there were four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The owners refused to allow us to use the fourth bedroom without payment of a supplement and only grudgingly allowed use of the second bathroom.
A part of our deposit was withheld because of a couple of broken bed slats. These looked very flimsy for an adult bed. There was no misuse.

Christine and Alexi were the perfect hosts and answered any messages almost immediately. They live opposite and are always on hand if you need them. They both met us on arrival and gave us a tour of the house. The 3 storey house is absolutely stunning and has a funky retro decor that has been styled by Christine herself. Very good quality furnishings. Lots of space and large rooms with comfortable beds, as well as a beautiful garden and courtyard that had all day sunshine. Perfect for a glass of wine. One of the bedrooms overlooks the cathedral at the front. It is situated in the heart of Bayeux with parking on the road outside. Bayeux restaurants, cafes, Bayeux tapestry and cathedral is on your doorstep with a lovely Saturday morning market at the top of the road. La Normande restaurant was recommended by Alex and this did not disappoint. We were here for a week and the house was a great base for driving to the D-Day beaches which was why we were there. My son loved Daisy the French Bulldog and had lots of fun with her in the garden. Absolutely stunning building with perfect hosts. We would return without a doubt. Thank you

Beautiful house with a charming garden right in the city center....easily walkable to restaurants and sites. The owner Christ'line was very gracious and welcoming and speaks English which was very helpful to us.There is parking on the street and paid parking directly across from the house which is free on weekends. We were sad to only have 1 night there.Highly recommend.

The home was beautiful and nice size for my family. We were looking forward to this stay and were extremely disappointed with everything else especially the female owner.
From the moment we arrived, the female owner started verbally attacking me. She wanted the exact ages of my kids (asked me in person, in an email and sent an email for booking.com to ask). She then told me my emails to her with questions before arrival did not have pleasantries to them. The owners live right next door. We came back for the day and the female owner was right there questioning me again. Where were you before here, why do you have laundry, why can't you do laundry somewhere else...very intrusive. At check out, she went thru everything with a fine tooth comb and all she could criticize was I had closed the shutters and she had them open at check in.. I closed the shutters because they can see in the house from theirs when they are open. I am just so disappointed and sad that we were made to feel so uncomfortable.

Bayeux is an historic and beautiful city and La Closerie Teranga is in an excellent location. It is a short walk to the cathedral, and great shopping, eating, and the center of town. It is also a short distance from the D-day sites. Alexi and Christine are super wonderful hosts who kindly welcome you and make sure you are comfortable. The residence is awesome. It is decorated with amazing furniture and a variety of cool interior design touches. The kitchen, bathrooms, and other facilities are modern and excellent. We loved our stay and would come back any day. You will love this place.
