Room was very big and well decorated in French style. The house was really elegant. Pascal is a very kind and knowledgeable host
breakfast served in a single table squeezed with the other hosts

Beautiful building in a great location.
Pascal was an excellent host.

Excellent breakfast each day. The owner goes above and beyond for the guests. Wonderful location, perfect walking distance to all sites in Bayuex and train station.
2.5
The location was convenient to walk into town. The room was spacious. The homemade jams and croissant for breakfast were delicious.
We expected it to be more modern. Mattresses were uncomfortable. Bedding was of mediocre quality, as were the towels. The shower appeared new but was tiny. The armchair and chaise were uncomfortable to sit in. The owner was not especially welcoming - he had a facade of friendliness but it didn’t seem sincere at all. Walls are thin and you can here every word of other boarders. Be aware of the very steep and winding staircase from the ground floor to the bedrooms. It is a considerable ascent to carry your own luggage.

The atmosphere was exceptional. The breakfast was country style and also fantastic. The room was large and quaint. Pascale was an exceptional host and very informative.

& The hotel was Beautifully decorated and cosy for the Festive time

We were in January and felt a bit cold at night in the room as it was so big

I cannot rate this property highly enough. A boutique B&B with character and charm. The rooms are beautiful, lovely views out the windows. Very generous sized. Breakfast was delicious - served in a dining room - croissants, fresh bread and jams, fresh baked goods from the host, yoghurt, coffee/tea/juice. Location is fantastic - walking distance to centre of Bayeux, the cathedral and restaurants and shops. Our host Pascal was very helpful. Would love to stay here again.
Wifi was intermittent. Parking on the street can be difficult.
3.5
Proximity to town.
We got a citation in the mail five days later gor a violation parking in front how the B&B.the host should have warned us. No citation on the car but it was sent to the car rental. 42 Euro.

Arrived to a warm greeting from our host and our stay was so comfortable in this beautiful B&B. The home is beautiful, breakfast generous with many selections and the host ensured we had our agenda and plans secure. Cannot imagine a more divine stay in lovely Bayeux!

The house and rooms were beautiful. The garden and patio area lovely. The breakfast was very nice, with pastries, bread, homemade quiche, granola, meat and fruit. Pascal and his wife were lovely hosts.
It was very cold the night we were there and although there was an extra blanket, it would have been nice if we had a space heater or a way to turn on the heat. It was the end of May, though, so understand that it was just a fluke that the temperature dropped so low.

Beautiful home and grounds, gorgeous breakfast and table settings, very helpful with our car.
No improvement needed—just wish we’d had more time there.

A most delightful period building set in beautiful gardens opposite a parkland area, but also just a street away from the town centre, shops and market square. The Cathedral, tapestry and local restaurants and cafes are only a 7 minute walk away. Parking is free outside the house so this makes it an ideal location for exploring the beautiful old town and its numerous attractions. Despite the central location, Le Petit Martin is tranquil and the night times are quiet. We had two blissful nights' undisturbed sleep there- wished we could've stayed longer. Pascal remains the perfect host and his superbly delicious home-baked Normandy breakfast is a feast in itself and sets you up for the day. The delightful 4 bedroom guest house is tastefully furnished in period style while retaining the comfort of modern bathrooms. Our room was huge and had duel aspect windows, very clean and quiet. The weekend was superb, a great place to stay for visiting the War Graves and other Normandy attractions all within an hour of the location . This is our 4th stay at Le Petit Martin and we will definitely be back!
No long mirror in the bedroom or bathroom, although several smaller ones. But everything else wonderful. Couldn't fault it.

Lovely house in an excellent location. Fine breakfast and charming host.
A tv in the room would have been welcome.

The host was very helpful and friendly. He went out of his way to make our experience more enjoyable. Everything was very clean and tidy. Location was great - walking distance from everything you might want to see in Bayeux. Easy access. Easy parking. Little cakes and crepes offered at breakfast on top of everything else. Good suggestions about things in the area to go and see, we followed them all and were not disappointed. Thank-you Pascal!
Our only suggestion for improvement would be to put a kettle and some things in the room to make a hot drink, tea or coffee, especially when it is cold and wet outside.

Pascal the owner goes out of his way to help with any local info and is very cheerful . The breakfast was plentiful with fresh fruits/yoghurts/cheeses/coffee/tea and pastries . It is an interesting old building with large comfy rooms done to its period .
Could do with some Tea/Coffee making facilities in bedroom .

This is a gem. We are so lucky we found it and stayed here. The surroundings are stunning. The food was very good! The room was beautiful. The beds were comfy and the shower was wonderful. We took a walk along in the evening and we just couldn’t believe how beautiful it was around the cathedral. The property owners were very friendly and amazing.

The room was a bit damp

Breakfast was awesome, Pascale went out of his way.
I only wished he had AC. Was in September and we were able to leave windows open at night, so it wasn’t a factor. But, I have found most of Europe pretty much lacks AC as we are accustomed in the States.

We loved our room on the first floor with the private entrance and patio. The backyard/garden/jardin is spacious. Pascal’s petit déjeuners were fabulous, and restaurant and other recommendations were spot on. We thoroughly enjoyed the nearby farmers market on Saturday. Stay here when seeing the Normandy WWII sites.
It’s not a statement against the property when I say that this area is very humid. Nothing dries here! We come from a very dry climate.
