Xmas Eve Pig on Spit with relatives and friends of staff invited to attend. Food, Bintang, fireworks decorations and wonderful staff all made for a very, very memorable evening. Our holiday was very special to me and I am so glad my daughter and grandsons were there to share it with my wife and I. Thanks to all for who made this possible.

Location and good food
Lack of communication staff didn’t understand English very well

Stunning layout, very scenic with the bungalows and palm trees everywhere. Surprised how big the property actually is, and has 2 lovely pools. Surfing: Sengiggi point was great when the swell was on, and can handle most wind directions to offer something clean on the reef. And very close to the main part of Sengiggi town if you feel like walking in to check out the local restos. Overall, well worth it, and will happily stay there again if our journeys take us to NW Lombok again.
No issues worth mentioning.

The location is huge and you're directly at the sea, a very nice pool and a nice hotel to be in for a few days. The rooms were clean and the service has been great.
The hotel is dated, the rooms are not really looking as projected on the website. A lot of things dont work (shower head, toilet, etc). Because it's dated it gives an unhygienic vibe but I do still believe they are trying their best to keep it all fresh and clean nonetheless.
A minor point, I really felt like part of the hotel staff was inexperienced or just didn't really feel like putting in a decent level of service especially around the beach restaurant.

close to Senggigi harbour, clean room & nice pool
the food was very over priced for the quality of it, unfortunately got one of the worst but most expensive mie gorengs that we had in three weeks in Indonesia. food and drinks took a really long time to be served even though we were one of 2 couples in the restaurant

the staffs were super friendly and accommodating during our stay.
huge and well maintained green area along the beach to relax and stroll around.
the bungalow was very cozy
breakfast was just ok, could be better
room looks dated already
lighting inside the room was pretty dimmed
no fitness area

Location, Garden and Beach are nice. Very nice Stuff.
No Public Transportation Service. No Taxi Service, therefore you are depending on a local Transport which is not competetive, aggressive and expensive. TV not properly set up. Poor signal and not all channels. No Football. Food in the Restaurant is one day good, the other day less. Food and beverage to expensive.
Renovation is necessary. At all not a 5 star Resort.

Lovely holiday in a absolutely friendly hotel and with its wonderful Staff! During our stay there were no too mamy visitors, which made our stay even more luxurious. Delicious breakfasts with a huge choice of foods, although we missed fresh fruit juices...
Everything was perfect, however fresh fruit juices would be a natural addition to breakfasts, in such a place...

The location is 5*, great view and bungalow.
The restaurants are so, so SO expensive, with ridiculous prices for everything 4x more than everywhere else around (it's already expensive it's in a tourist area). Consequently, the restaurants are always empty except at sunset when people descend to take pics - either many people sharing one drink or they bring drinks from outside.
We made the mistake of eating at the 'Italian' restaurant, it was eye-wateringly expensive and the food we were served was all out of the freezer. Freezer veg, chopped cubes of beans and carrots, tinned white asparagus, cheapest 'mozzarella' cheese, and frozen biscuit-type pizza bases.
Definitely NOT 5*, we complained, we received a groveling apology but no effort to amend or refund, and actually they didn't admit any fault, more 'we are sorry you feel like that' sort of 'apology'.
We never ate there again and understood why even on Friday and Saturday nights the place is empty during peak tourist season. Oh and the 'Happy Hour' only reduced the price to the normal (high) price, much cheaper everywhere else in Senggigi. Understand we are not naive, we understand resorts take advantage of the isolation to raise the prices a bit but this is gouging, 4x more at least.
Don't make the same mistake as us, take a water bottle from your room, watch the sunset, and go and get food elsewhere; Bataka is excellent.

great location, lovely staff, very clean
breakfast was not amazing - I think not enough guests to justify the full buffet they offered so it looked a bit tired - great omelette cooked to order - great make your own chicken soup station which we love so we’re happy but the bakery and Bain Marie stuff looked a bit not so fresh - I’m sure it’s amazing when there’s e ouch guests eating that it gets topped up and is fresh and hot

Nice staff, great breakfast and comfortable rooms (we got a very nice bungalow with sea view from which we could watch the sunset). Strong recommendation to get drinks at the sunset bar on the beach!
Very close to the few restaurants on the main nearby road
The activities mentioned in the description of the hotel were not actually available (hobbie cats, kayaks, no gym)
We were also unfortunate to be woken up at 7.30 on a Sunday morning by group activities part of a company seminar (lots of yelling from coach with mic)

Centrally located in Sengiggi with access to beach and the town all within walking distance. We were upgraded to a garden bungalow and it was clean, comfortable and with all necessary facilities including a few extras - loved the outdoor shower! Breakfast was a wide variety of lots of both Asian and European dishes. The gardens around the hotel are large, lots of lovely orchids growing in obscure places. Right on the beach with access to a small reef if you are interested in snorkeling - just watch the tides - low tide can get really low! Easy access to all the touristy bits - make an effort to visit an Ikaat weaving village where they still weave with foot looms! Also visit the section in the city that specializes in pearls - dont buy from street vendors they are fake!! - and also the pottery painting. We have also visited a traditional Sesak village - what an amazing place. Obviously the Gillis are also within reach for day trips
Everything is a bit tired but having just come out of COVID i think that there are great possibilities of things improving now that tourism is back on the agenda. Hated the music in the Beach bar during the day until after lunch - too much rap and not appropriate to either the beach environment or the crowd. Italian-style music was started in the afternoon which was much better / relaxing. Also a deck has recently been built where all sun loungers are now located with instructions not to move them - the area is inappropriate as they are far too close to each other and the only shade is umbrellas which were only raised on request IF you could find anyone. When we came here 7 years ago the loungers were closer to the beach and were all under the trees so nice and shady - not only is this new area a terrible eyesore it is now totally under utilized - and a waste of the space it now takes up - such a shame. One of the nights we were there (we stayed 7 nights) there was a buffet dinner with music - the music was absolutely terrible, proved by a 20 year old that had no idea how to read her audience and who played the music she liked rather then the music that would have pleased the crowd so it was hip hop, rap etc when her audience was 40-70 year old foreigners - most people left - such as waste and not making use of encouraging people to stay, drink and perhaps eat - a money making opportunity completely wasted. This did not spoil our stay however as the little town has much to offer but just a mention!

Room/sea view was lovely. Nice veranda, facing the beach of the neighboring bay, so more quiet and privacy.
Clean, no bugs (anti mosquito device provided).
Welll-working fridge.
Well-maintained grounds.
Polite staff.
Breakfast quite good,
Good location next to the sea but also a 5-minute walk to town.
Never responded to emails and messages about one-day delayed arrival due to cancelled flight. We had to go through booking to ensure room was kept.
A little faded
Wifi not very strong, and kept not working.
Crossants at breakfast stale, some so hard not edible. For coffee you had to wait to be served.
No signage for vegan/ vegetarian options.
Drinks pricey.
Keycard kept not working, we went multiple times to reception to have it fixed.
Request for second keycard since we were two was met with hesitation/warning not to lose (100000r) -as if losing first was acceptable.
Beach around hotel littered -maybe not hotel's responsibility but still, not a pretty sight.

Clean, beautiful views, lovely staff, nice breakfast with lots of options that weren’t the same every day, fun TV channels
Our only complaint (but a big one) was that the bed was super hard and uncomfortable. we asked for an extra duvet which we slept on it which helped but the beds definitely aren’t geared towards westerns who like plush soft cozy beds.

Merumatta Resort is located on Senggigi Beach and near to the town's commercial district where there are many good bars and restaurants. The rooms are comfortable with good wifi and a small outdoor seating area. The pool and other facilities aren't brand new, but they're well-maintained and clean. For the price I paid (it may have been a Covid-related reduced rate), I was very happy with my stay at Merumatta and would definitely return.
It would be nice if the breakfast had more western options, but that's just a minor quibble.

Clean and well maintained property with full 24hr service which is a big plus. There’s a reef area good enough for snorkelling with white sands, different from other parts of Senggigi dominated with volcanic/black sands. The beach bar setup is really good. We enjoyed the sunsets and the view of mount Agung. Perhaps a bit dated but still a very good resort. Recommended.

Very beautiful resorts with private beach, enjoyed the sunset view everyday cuz our rooms are just infront of sea. Staffs are very friendly, like the Breakfast buffet here as well.
There's no charging place close to bed.

Rooms were decently sized, staff was helpful and decor was nice. Breakfast is quite good.
Lizards in hotel room (always one in three different rooms). Too many flies at breakfast.
