Housekeeping was amazing!

Nice location next to the train station which made it easy for getting around.

The shower barely had any water pressure and didn’t get very hot. Double-room VERY, VERY small.

Great location and lovely staff

The staff were really friendly and helpful and the location was perfect.

Our air conditioning didn’t work which normally isn’t an issue in England but it was boiling. They were unable to fix it but they did move us to a new room where it worked on the second day. The beds are very bouncy which is personal preference I know. The taps were leaking in the bathroom (in both rooms).

Breakfast was not great, all tastes cheap. First room was awful but after talking to reception, we got moved to a better room. So their customer service was excellent as there was no questions asked, we got moved to a more suitable room.

Nice, comfortable Hotel at great location

The location is just perfect and close to local bus and underground stations. Paddington is just a short walk away. We opted for breakfast at booking and what a great idea it was. We had a lovely breakfast every morning (a large selection of continental and English breakfast). Our room was always clean with fresh bedding and towels every day. I would like to thank everything for Ano and Olga and all the other friendly staff at reception.

We've seen the full, overflowing rubbish bins under the window of our room...we got what we paid for...view of the service yard with loud air conditioning units. Fortunately, I slept with ear plugs but it was impossible to watch tv because of the constant noise. There were some embarrassing moments as well but that's due to the old water and pipe system.

After one week they are still blocking my money.

Good location. Right next to the hyde park, next to the metro station. But thats where all advatages ends.

Where should i start..? Staff... One half are employees in training. Second half are arrogant and rude people. I mean, nothing is wrong with Staff in training but you would at least expect that There will be some supervisors to keep eye on them so they wont make any mistakes (more on that later)...but There is none. Just freshly hired staff swimming in the deep water. Other half is Just arrogant guys, Who almost laugh at you when you ask them about something. Breakfast.. No surprise here. Everyday is the same. Rooms. Imagine room with just a bed And table. Not a hard task right?.. Yeah, that is Exactly room at this hotel. No place to put your clothes, no place to put your luggage. Just table And bed. But what really makes our trip unforgettable is the unexpected mistake hotel made. They will charge you 40£ as deposit...im totaly okay with that. So at check in they will charge you 40£ more And they will Block this amount on your account. After you check out And everything is okay, they will charge the expected amount for your stay. But surprise surprise...they will be still blocking the full amount they charged you at your check in. So be prepared that you will pay price for your stay + they gonna block price for your stay with added 40£ for god knows how long on your account.

Wenn man den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist und im Hotel nur schlafen und frühstücken möchte ist es gerade noch ok. Würde das

- Direkt am Hyde Park - Sehr nettes Personal - Wenige Schritte bis zur Lancaster Gate Station

- Zimmer sehr runtergekommen - Toilette spült sehr schwach - Keine Toilettenbürste - Tür zur Toilette ging nicht richtig zu - Fenster war leicht offen und festgeklemmt wodurch es durchgehend kalte Zugluft gab! Selbst im Frühstücksbereich war das Fenster undicht. - Zimmer sehr hellhörig. Man hört alles was in den Zimmern nebenan passiert. - Dreck im Waschbecken und lange Haare hingen an den Bilderrahmen - Der Bacon beim Frühstück ist sehr seltsam

Very poor safety لايوجد امان بالفندق، باب الغرف يوجد فيه قفل واحد فقط بالمفتاح سهولة فتحه من الخارج .. تم دخول شخص في منتصف الليل لغرفتنا وعند التحدث مع الاستقبال رفضو اطلاعنا عن كاميرات الفندق

Nice Hotel - good location alongside Hyde Park. Dont bother to upgrade your room.

persuaded to upgrade to business class room - which was 'spacious' on arrival the room was very small and not at all spacious. requested refund of the upgrade price but this was going to be 'investigated'

Have stayed several times before because of the location but the room was below standard.

Location, check in and check out were fast.Staff polite and friendly.

Better bathroom facilities and better window insulation, a draught could be felt on our heads all night as the bed heads are under the windows. Also had to keep finger on kettle button in order for it to boil as it kept clicking off whilst warming. We were in room no 536. The showering facility in this room was virtually impossible for my husband who is 6ft5 as the large “bulk head” meant he could not stand upright.It was difficult myself at 5ft7 and I knocked my head twice.The bar was rarely open.

Bad hotel

The location to say something. The rest bad.

Dante, the receptionist was super rude when we did the check in. The room heating was noisy. Room mugs dirty the first day. The beds had wheels and were moving. The overall stay bad.

Awful, frezzing

Absolutely nothing. For start we got out of the lift and couldn’t find our room on the corridor walked back to get in the lift and there was a door more or less connected to the lift the size of a door off a closet it was like something out of a scary film.

The room was like a frezzer the 2 rads were frozen 5 mins in the room a staff member knocks with a plug in rad so they no the heating does not work and charge €280 for a night stay, we could hear the lift going up and down as we were connected to it. My daughter was afraid in the room and 3 of us had to share a bed cause it was so cold and noisy. The smell of dust/ damp the minute you opened the door. The windows have net dirty blinds with wooden shutters on them.

Good friendly staff. Easy and quick check in. Good location as we came for the winter wonderland in hyde park.

Very dated. Small bar Facilities need work - eg toilet wouldn't flush properly shower seemed faulty. This wasn't just an issue in our room, as people we know stayed at the same time as us and had the same issues. A shame really as when we stayed here in 2013 it seemed much nicer. I am aware that the hotel is having some refurbishments from December so fingers crossed it will be back to how it was.

the rooms are very tiny and you can't move in it. it barely fits the bed. the double bed is very small andnot comfortable. the toilet is also tiny. the car parkings are not available. In general, it was very discomfortable.

The hotel is rubbish, but shame on booking.com too.

The location is really good, close to Lancaster Gate. This is the central metro line with an ideal and easy connection with other lines that provide access to all the main attractions of the city, as well as to Heathrow or Stansted Airport via Liverpool Street station. If you want to take a walk, there is a beautiful green area near the hotel (Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park). After a pleasant walk to the south, you will reach Buckingham Palace in 30 minutes. Another nice feature is a lovely English pub next to the hotel called The Swan. We are also happy with the breakfast. This is it!. Everything else in this hotel is just a big disappointment.

Photos of the hotel on booking.com at first glance, look nice and you may think this is a pretty nice place worth of money, which is not cheap at all, but you will be very disappointed later. The hotel room was so small that there was practically nowhere to fit a suitcase, and we had one for two, quite a standard size. The double bed, as they call it, was in fact a slightly wider version of the single bed. The room was so narrow that the bed was standing next to the wall, so there was only one narrow path leading to it. Imagine how unhygienic it is to lie next to a wall that hundreds of people touch every year. A wall that has probably never been cleaned. The room in general was very dirty, especially on the carpet. Everything was stained. The lid of the ironing table has probably never been washed - it was cream, but not initially. There were huge rust stains on it. A thick layer of dust was accumulated in different corners, especially behind the mirror, behind the TV, window frame, etc. The toilet was a big joke. So tiny, but forget about it. The water in the sink just stood there and was washed off only after a couple of minutes. The same situation with the toilet. All the taps and handles were rusty. And also, water is never brought in the room. The manager told us that the tap water is drinkable :) Like that. On the very first day we turned to the manager and told everything, but nothing has changed. No reaction. The hotel manager had a conman written on his face. In short, this is not a four-star hotel at all. I would barely give them three. I wanted to write all this to warn other future guests. It's a pity that the booking.com does nothing to prevent such situations. Such hotels should be blocked in order to save the reputation of the company. When I'm visiting London next time, I'm not going back to the same place.

Not enjoyable at all

Great location, close to multiple underground and Paddington Station.

The shower drains were insufficient causing the bathroom to flood. I had to move rooms twice due to this issue. I ended up just dealing with it as the room I was moved to also has the same issue. Room still had hair in the shower. Wifi wasn't great either I also felt very unsafe at times, I had a strange man tapping at my door, multiple times. Reported this to reception, told me if may have been housekeeping (my room had already been made for the day). I will not be staying her again.
