We arrived soaking wet and cold on our bikes and Betty could not have been kinder. She helped us to clean and dry our kit. The room, bathroom and kitchen was perfectly clean and really homely. The kitchen is well equipped and there is communal tea and coffee, milk, cereal and even eggs from her hens. There’s a nice space with tables to eat and relax. Thanks Betty for your hospitality!

I thought the accommodation was set out well to accommodate a wide range of Travellers, the facilities were good for this type of establishment
En suite was a bit dated and small but was adequate and functional

Beautiful location, lovely accommodation.
Betty the owner was really nice and helpful.
It is probably the most peaceful accommodation I've ever stayed in and I've stopped in a few.
There was nothing to dislike.

Outstanding location, such a beautiful setting with a warm and informed welcome from the owner Betty who was very genuine and helpful. The facilities were amazing, if you are self catering the kitchen is the best I've seen in any accomodation in my 52 countries, it is a professional kitchen. Rooms were nice, there is a sitting room with the most gorgeous view over the water, it also has a fireplace and a range of books. I absolutely loved the topographic maps on the walls of the hall too. Best accomodation I've had in Ireland.
There is nothing to not like! Do yourself a favour and stay here.

A gorgeous place to stay, with comfortable beds and a warm fire to sit by in the evening. The view from the windows are great, whether you're watching the pigs in the backyard or looking out over the water and hills. The kitchen is well stocked, there's loads to do nearby and a good pub round the corner. It's very quiet in the local area, and when the skies were clear I was distracted by watching the stars sparkling in the dark.

Very friendly and clean, comfortable, perfect for a short break

Betty was very friendly and accommodating. Communal kitchen was fully equipped, with tea/coffee, milk and cereals available for guests to use. Bathrooms and showers are not en-suite but you are allocated your own, so you are not sharing with others.
Clothes washing and drying facilities are available, and there is lots of information to hand about the local area.
Long, deep gravel drive was a bit sketchy on motorcycles.

quite lodge with a family feeling. everything was super organized and a big kitchen was there with everything to prepare for breakfast or dinner. I had for the first time goose eggs - great experience 😊

I like everything in Kilcommon Lodge - very friendly and polite owner. Very clean bedroom and bathroom (share with 1 other room only). Spacious kitchen and amazing dining room with beautiful view of the bay.
Everything was perfect 😊

We came for quiet and were not disappointed. The lodge was wonderful, we had it to ourselves the first few nights and the interaction with quests from Limerick on the third night was very nice. It was everything we wanted, even though the weather was windy and rainy.
Nothing could be better, all was good.

Delicious and freshly cooked breakfast and evening meals available on request. Superb location near to the Benmullet Peninsula and other stunning coastal scenery. Lovely welcome from the host who was a fund of local information. This allowed us to make the most of our short stay in this wild and stunning area.

Beautiful accommodation nestled in a valley on the shores of the lough. Plenty of space in the common areas, with a well-equipped kitchen and dinning area, and a comfortable fire-side space to relax with a book. Very clean, with a good number of toilets and showers. Bedrooms are spacious, with comfortable beds and good storage areas, as well as numerous plug sockets and a wash basin. Some great added touches like hot water bottles and fresh eggs from the chickens in the morning really topped it off!
Nothing!

Really lovely hostel. Was nice and cosy, even in december. Good kitchen for cooking and there’s a nice spacious livingroom. Betty is great and she gave us great tips on walks in the area. Lovely views from the hostel and there’s geese and ducks in the garden. Great vibes, will come back again.

Really nice place with everything needed for a perfect stay! Betty is very nice and welcoming even when we'd arrived late. The little extra in this late novembre: fresh eggs in the morning and chimney in the evening after a long day!
