We chose Hotel Clio Court Hakata because of all the good reviews. We loved the location, came off the shinkansen and walked a couple minutes to our hotel. You cannot get any closer to Hakata Station and the pachinko parlor was literally on the first floor. Our rooms were spacious and had a good view. Our favorite bakery was steps away. Lots of shopping and restaurants in the station as well as connecting anywhere by bus, train or taxi. We have stayed many times in Hakata area but never at the same hotel. Not anymore. We will definitely stay here again.
One of our rooms had the TV located next to the side of the sofa so it was an awkward position to sit and watch, but it could swivel to face the bed which was better. Our sinks and toilets were painted red and we thought that was unusual.

The bed!
Horrible breakfast!
4.1
Good location, right next to Hakata station. The room is big and the bed is very comfortable. Provide 2 pillows which are firm. It gives us a good night rest.
Nothing.
4.1
Large rooms compared to other hotels
It was very close to the station, that was very convenient!
Everything smelled faintly of tobacco smoke, and the in-hotel elevator is not secured with a roomcard, so anyone can just grab an elevator up to where the rooms are located, even those not staying in the hotel.
The "american" style breakfast was underwhelming, to say the least.
Some hotel rooms are outfitted with ancient tv's that dont have any digital inputs like hdmi. After mentioning it, the hotel staff relocated us to a room that featured a moderner (though small) tv.
The hotel is situated right above a large pachinko gambling arcade, the noise in the ground floor lobby (not the hotel's own lobby) is deafening when the doors open to let someone in or out of the arcade.

The hotel was extremely close to Hakata Station, which made it convenient for transportation and finding something to eat. The hotel did have a laundry room which came in very handy during my stay. The room had some strong blackout curtains that definitely blocked the bright lights from the area in front of the train station at night.
The room and furnishings were extremely dated. The bedside table in my room looked like it was installed in the 1970s. Many of the hallways smelled stale probably because of the pachinko parlor that is on the 1st floor of the building.

The location is good, near hakata station.
This hotel given the bottle of water.
1. This hotel looks old, foul smell from carpet.
2. The floor of toilet and bathroom made from tile or ceramic, this is cold in winter season.

Location: just beside Hakata Station
The air conditioning cannot be adjusted. It was hot in the room and windows cannot be opened. The double bed is too small for two persons. The floor carpet feels dusty.
