Super gezellig hostel, hele fijne walking tour & goed geprijsde andere tours rondom San Cristóbal. Het personeel is behulpzaam en bereid één stap verder te gaan voor jou. Super goed in de omgang en communicatie.
4.5
Breakfast and dinner were amazing. Good food and good quality. Ambiance also great, drinks are cheap and good quality. There were always activities so you can have fun everyday! I love this place!

Carlos, Sofia, and Iker were cool. Their salary needs to be doubled because of how legendary they are.
Not anything that is within Puerta Vieja Hostel's control.
4.5
Breakfast and dinner included is really decent food. It also creates such a social atmosphere within the hostel. Bathrooms are communal but really clean and super nice.
The tours offered are super cheap which is incredible but just ok and most only offered in Spanish despite majority of people in the Hostel speaking English

Great Hostel with breakfast and dinner included. Food was great!! They offer lots of fun activities and it's nice to party in the hostel but I could also sleep very well because in my room it was quiet and the volume of the music very low.
Enjoyed everything!

Excellent hostel, clean, accommodating, staff are helpful.
Private rooms are brand new and wouldn’t be out of place in a high end hotel.
Free breakfast (three options each day) and free dinner. Free cocktails some nights. Great vibe and social.

We had to leave

Karlos and Lili were really welcoming and try help and to solve any problems we had.
The vibe was really good. Sala lesson, and included breakfast and dinner.
It's a happiness place, so if you looking for a quiet place it's not the first choice I recommend.

Location is great. Activities are good, cheap and happen often. Really social with breakfast and dinner included, and it is good/solid meals.
The beds are old and you can feels the slope in the middle. The tours offered are not in English, even though 75% of the hostel was speaking English. It was also not explained when signing up nothing would be in English. The tour to the two Mayan cities was a literal waste of 300 pesos and I wouldn’t recommend booking it through the hostel.

This hostel is absolutely fabulous! It provides Free Breakfast and Free Dinner at such a cheap price! Every day they provide different meals and they are all tasty!!! Also, they provide a lot of hostel activities like Spanish class, Salsa class at neglible price. They also provide many transportation options for me to connect to my next stop. (I joined a tour which shows me the 2 waterfall and Palenque site and dropped me off at Palenque. It is cheaper than taking ADO bus and going to Palenque to join tour there.) For the facilities, they have big locker for backpack. Hot water for shower. Free drinking water. Place to hang your towel. Lounge area has many place to charge your devices. They also have a table tennis table which brought me a lot of fun.
Nothing.

Great staff, food included in the price, a lot of activities. Only thing is the bunk beds are super squeaky and loud.
No hot water at times

Very good free breakfast and Dinner, good location, very clean
For me there were too many people, the age average is very young. Also the wooden floors in the doorms and the beds make a lot of noise and there is a lot of coming in/going out in the night
3.0
good breakfast and dinner options and easy to meet people
I got bed bugs at this hostel and the staff were unhelpful and it was unclear if they actually treated the bed afterwards

it was big with many communal areas. outside areas and bar are good if you want to socialise, and the indoor area is good if you want some quiet time. the free breakfast and dinner is a real bonus! and you get to know everyone as you eat together. it’s such a good way to meet people!
nothing worth complaining about.

really good deal! breakfast and dinner included and both very good. lots of fun activities like free salsa classes. very social and nice facilities. would always stay again!
a lot of party, so if you’re looking for something quiet maybe not the best place

The property is a huge and cozy house with a nice garden.
the price includes breakfast (3 options: also veggie and vegan) and dinner. Always delicious. the beds are super cozy! we stayed a night in the private room (like a rustic, beautiful and cozy hotel room) and 2 more in a shared female dorm. you meet a lot of people and they offer different activities everyday.
There is nothing not to like about this place!
2.5
The free dinner and breakfast and activities are undeniably a great deal, but perhaps did not make up for the things we were disappointed by.
We booked 2 beds together in the same 6 bed dorm but when we arrived we were put in an 8 bed and 10 bed dorm on separate sides of the hostel. The staff were pretty rude, laughed, and made us feel embarrassed for raising this issue. They claimed it was a problem with the booking system but everyone else we spoke to and other friends who have stayed here never had this issue. We also both got pretty ill from staying here.

Really good hostel. Great value for money and super sociable.
The staff at reception were really miserable. Felt uncomfortable asking them for anything, really let the place down
4.0
social, good daily changing brekky options and dinner (although the plate was always a bit small), different activities every day, tours, met tonss of guests traveling the same route
honestly otherwise a 10/10 hostel just only got a weird vibe from the volunteers - movie room was often taken by the volunteers wanting to watch their series that they were following, they weren’t social with the guests nor with each other and the longer we stayed the weirder the vibe got
3.0
The social aspect was great and the food was really nice. Good value for money
It sets a schedule on your day because there is only a short window for breakfast and dinner which means you don't experience the city as much . Combined with the fact that it's a huge hostel you always end up queueing. It's not a very cozy hostel and it gets so cold.

lovely hostel, very social, comfortable beds and free breakfast AND dinner! so much free stuff here it’s amazing. they’re also really chill about staying there after you’ve checked out. they even offer free dinner if you have already checked out and have to wait for your nightbus. great location and overal great place.
the showers could be a bit cleaner

With free breakfast and free dinner as well as specials every night including free snacks and free drinks this great hostel is PERFECT to meet people. Especially as a solo traveler. I had an amazing stay. Eventhough they have 120!! Beds book at least 1,2 days in advance. Especially at the weekend.
The upper bunk beds should also have a curtain.
