Hidden gem close to Kilkenny

We loved staying with Ger and Mary!! They were so welcoming and lovely! The garden was beautiful, the breakfast was delicious and you could taste that it was high quality food. The rooms were cosy and super clean! From there is was really close going to Kilkenny. We would love to come back and stay a whole week!! Can’t wait to taste Mary’s marmelade at home which we bought during our stay.

Cute cottage BnB

An absolutely adorable cottage BnB. The hosts were responsive and so nice. The room was very comfortable and the shower was huge! There is a garden and a TV room to enjoy (although there is also a TV in the room). We were only there for a short time and needed to leave early in the morning so we couldn't experience the breakfast but the menu looked great! Mary (hostess) also provided us with some scones, fruit, and chocolate for a breakfast basket since we'd miss the prepared stuff. So lovely!

Only downside is that it's very much in the middle of no where. Great for a quiet stay, but you have to drive to get there or anywhere around there.

A wonderfully peaceful getaway after a tough day of sightseeing. Only minutes from town but far enough to feel you are in the countryside. Ger and Mary were wonderful hosts, room was excellent and breakfast was great!

Was perfect for us.

Lovely, friendly, thoughtful hosts. Quiet rural setting. Nice large, bright, airy room. Good lighting. Window actually opened wide! Private bathroom - ours was not ensuite but there are options there. Did have a vanity within the room tho. great idea. Breakfast was more than ample! The communal mini fridge for guests (with fresh milk) a great idea also - not seen in all our other stays over 7 weeks in the UK. Good parking.

Perfect rural overnight stay close to Kilkenny

Really kind and friendly owners, helped choosing the restaurant for dinner, offered to buy their homemade jam, explained the history of Kilkenny beers :) very tasty Irish breakfast, including their homemade rubarb jam. Clean, quiet, cute. Would definitelly stay again.

Would prefer bathroom in the room, but really liked it was clean.

Ger was great, very friendly and easy to talk to, he recommended a couple places in town for dinner that were quite good! The breakfast was excellent also!

Would recommend if you love gardens!

The gardens were absolutely stunning and the owners delightful and friendly. The rooms and other accommodations were spotless. The owners went out of their way to make us feel at home and comfortable. Short drive into town but still in the beautiful country side.

We did end up staying in a room with a separate but private bathroom, but this was only a slight inconvenience.

A beautiful cottage. The owners were so hospitable and helpful. The breakfast that was included in the price was excellent.

The private bathroom that only we use was outside the room. Despite all this, it was very comfortable

Lovely stay with Ger and Mary. Nice clean rooms with water boiler. Self-made breakfast, super service. There is an extra room with couches and TV for all guests. Very quiet rural place. Highly recommended.

Lovely hosts and inn. The breakfast was really good and it more than met our needs.

The breakfast was great. Rooms were comfortable, location was great. The hosts were very kind and helpful.

Superb

Hosts were very personable. Room was lovely, bed very comfortable. We ate our own dinner in their peaceful, sweet backyard (they gave us real plates and silverware and washed them for us!). Highly recommend their BandB.
