Never been happier

Absolutely everything. We had a warm welcome from Mairead and Jimmy when we arrived and they treated us like royalty. The Lodge is charming in every way. The facilities are superb, as was the food. I’m sure we will return!

I can think of not a single thing - except that we didn’t decide to stay longer!

Everything about this property is PERFECT! The rooms, the comfort, the cleanliness, the outdoor patio, the little treats and tea/coffee left out to enjoy, the homemade breakfast in the morning….AND the hosts! They are both incredibly kind. Please look no further…this is the place to stay! ♥️

Superb B&B to try without hesitation

The welcome was very warm and kind. She showed us a room where we could have a drink whenever we wanted and with nice Easter eggs. The room was very spacious and very clean, not to mention the excellent bedding where once under the comforter you didn't want to move. The bathroom with shower was perfect and bright and very clean with different elements for comfort. The breakfast was very copious and with fresh products. Honestly I can't think of a single negative point. Our host gave us information for visits in the area and explanations on different sites to visit. Wonderful stay definitely recommend

The breakfast was excellent lots of choices available. The location was very peaceful. The room was spacious a lovely comfortable bed with ensuite. Mairead was a lovely host extremely helpful her knowledge of places to visit was very much appreciated. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely go back again.

Newlands Lodge is beautiful and we had a fantastic time there. Mairead made us feel very welcome and gave us a lot of information in relation to things to do, and places to eat in the area. We will definitely be back soon.

Peaceful, restful, kindest hosts, fun!

Mairead and Jimmy were the best hosts my wife and I could have hoped for. They went above and beyond in every way, even doing all they could to help when my wife sustained an injury. They were kind and understanding, even though communication on my end was lacking at times. My wife and I would love to return.

The owners were both very helpful providing suggestions of what to see in the area & how to get to them.

It was difficult to find on the Garmen we were using.

Quiet and restful

Good breakfast. Quiet location a few km outside of Kilkenny. Definitely need transportation; roads too narrow for walking. Hosts are friendly.

As good as it gets!

Mairead went out of her way to make us feel at home, and tell us about places to visit. The house was immaculate with lots of personal touches to it. We hadn't booked breakfast but that was no trouble - and we were very glad we did: beautiful homemade scones, and excellent scrambled eggs and bacon. Would highly recommend.

Quiet, friendly and beautiful setting. Very comfortable. Would like to spend more time.

The location south of Kilkenny was beautiful. The grounds were beautiful and quiet. The house and room were extremely nice and the hosts were helpful and friendly. We had a great time and extended our trip by a day.
