I can't say enough about how great the location was for an extended family vacation. Sure, it is not right on the beach, but it was such an easy, short walk for everyone, from a family member with a cane to a three-year-old. The neighborhood beach was perfect, and Ocean Beach Park provided other fun nearby. The house had plenty of beds and seating for us all. It was accurately described as being like staying in your old grandmother's house: sloping floors, old but functional appliances, creaking stairs, and some beautiful quilts. We had a great time.

This was a great place for a group to stay. Very close to the beach and a wonderful area to walk around. We really enjoyed our time here.

I booked this house for a combined bachelor/bachelorette weekend and everything was great. The house is in a great location, very clean, and Gloria was very easy to communicate with.

My sister and I enjoyed another great stay at Gloria’s place in a lovely residential section of New London. The beach adjacent location is perfect and this was our 2nd visit this year. We really appreciate this dog friendly home and fenced yard. The location is central to all the places we routinely visit and I have to say- visiting in October was superb. It was lovely to sleep with the windows open and hear the ocean. Gloria is a wonderful hostess and was helpful and accommodating. As long as this is on VRBO- we will be back!

I traveled traveled here with my sister and her dog at the end of June. We were so pleased to find a great location, near beaches & attractions, dog-friendly with a fenced in yard. It was beyond helpful for us with the dog. Gloria was excellent with communication and answered all questions promptly. The house is large and it was great to have choice of bedrooms. There was ample window air conditioning in each bedroom and in the living room. Since it poured while we were there, we didn’t get to visit the beach. However, we know the area fairly well and that did not stop us from visiting our favorite places, including Captain Scott’s lobster dock, Jonathan Edwards Winery in Stonington and visiting the local shops. We appreciated that Gloria has baby gates so we were able to sit on the front porch with the dog and let him walk around. This lovely home was perfect for our needs. The kitchen is well appointed. As Coffee drinkers- we appreciated the drip coffee machine and had brought our ground coffee. We would definitely return again and hope to enjoy the beaches next time around.

Gloria's home near the beach was exactly what my friends and I were looking for when we wanted a summer weekend getaway. It is spacious, beautiful, and comfortably slept all 8 of us... and a few of our dogs! The fenced in yard for dogs was a huge selling point. Access to the private beach was also incredible, as well as proximity to lively Ocean Beach. Gloria is extremely kind and communicative. I would highly recommend this rental for anyone looking to relax near the beach!

We had a great long weekend at Gloria's property. The house easily accommodated our family; the bedrooms were all of good size, the 3rd floor space was an excellent hang-out space for the kids, and the 1st floor open floor plan allowed for group meals. We spent time at Ocean Beach, a short walk through the quiet neighborhood, and spent a day enjoying Mystic (just a few miles away). Gloria is a fantastic host and made our stay very comfortable.

Rented this property with several U.S. Coast Guard Academy classmates for our 10-year reunion homecoming weekend. We enjoyed beautiful weather in this lovely home and neighborhood, and will cherish the return visit to New London. Many thanks to our wonderful host Gloria!

We were very disappointed is the cleanliness of this house. It has potential but I think it’s just been let go. Gloria is a very nice person to deal with but the home was cluttered with what people have left from previous stays! Other peoples toiletries still in bathrooms and in dressers! The beds were very old and uncomfortable. On the plus side.. it is a short walk to the beach and the neighborhood is very nice. We enjoyed walks looking at all the beautiful homes. I think overall this home needs some TLC.

You can feel right at home in this not-fancy but comfortable property. The neighborhood is very pleasant, and people are neighborly. Very nice area in which to stroll around, especially in the early evening. The beaches are wonderful, and New London is close to a lot of enjoyable places to visit.

We enjoyed the location of this home, as it is a short walk to the beach. This home needs to be renovated. The home was not very clean, the door to the bathroom didn't close, and the kitchen had ants. It was disappointing. The owner did answer all questions very promptly.
