The bar and restaurant was not open for three of nights were stayed at the Hotel. This was not mentioned on Booking.com when we booked. The staff were less than enthusiastic about helping us with the problem. Their approach was similar with any other issue. The layout and parking arrangements are not easy to navigate and exacerbated by fairly poor directions from the staff.

The room was very large. It was really nice and well equipped. The room had a large patio with a view of the lake. The patio is far larger than most hotels. It had room for a table and chairs and still plenty of additional space.
The hotel is easy to find right on the main road into town. It is walking distance to downtown, which we did several times a day. However, it is a fairly long walk without much to see until the downtown area.
The parking area for the hotel is a little too small.

Proximity to town was adequate, albeit difficult to get onto main road.
Hotel is old. Location is not great . Situated on main street with lots of traffic all the time. Room is not sound proof. Someone above our room was making lots of noise right past midnight and started again early hours at 5.30 am. Not value for money at $300+ per night.

The view wa lovely, try to keep the gardens low so it keeps a beautiful view. Very busy with cars out the front.
Roadworks were a little noisy and a little hard to walk around. Having to watch every step.

The staff were helpful and friendly. Having off street parking is great. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast was great. Can walk to town either directly or round lake front easily.
Very tired and old. Hadn’t realised there are 2 Copthorne’s. This one is extremely dated (actual key for door, carpet is worn and tired, no heated towel rail etc, very basic). Felt a little overcharged for what it is.

There are many, many... I mean many places to stay in Queenstown for a variety of budgets and dependent on where you would like to be located. Driving around Queenstown is not easy because of the amount of traffic, pedestrians and parking; walking is a better option.
The rooms at the Lakeview had good views of the lake and mountains.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large and useable.
Parking was great and because you could leave your car there and walk to Queenstown it was helpful. The reception and bar staff were friendly and helpful. Having a bar/restaurant was helpful on a rainy day so you didn't have to walk in inclement weather or navigate the roads with others.
There was also a great view of construction happening on the road but that is only temporary and hardly the fault of the Hotel.
What is in the purview of the Hotel and their staff was cleaning and maintaining of the rooms. I found an empty beer can and a charging cable in the wardrobe of the room from previous occupants.

We have a room for 4 with lakeside view balcony.
A room for 4 with only 1 shower facility is inconvenient. Car parking is inconvenient due to ongoing and extensive construction work. One of the room is too small to accommodate 2 adults.

The breakfast hot foods was often cold/warm. I don’t think the containers items were in kept the food hot enough
The price per night was too expensive

We are a family of seven staying for 3 nights. The counter staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean, with a great view from the balcony. At night with a clear sky, watching the stars from the balcony was a great experience. The location was great, walking distances to good points of interest. Not to mention walking to the town area for good food and shopping if desired. Highly recommended to those who are visiting Queenstown.
None at all.

10-15 minutes walk to Queenstown city centre. The concierge was able to store our luggages after we checked out. The concierge also helped us book a taxi to the airport.
Room wasn’t ready when we arrive at 8pm+ for check in. The concierge offered us free drinks at the hotel bar & asked us to wait for 20 minutes. After around 30 minutes, the room was finally ready for check in.
My sister who slept on a single bed got bitten by bed bugs. Red bumps started to develop after she woke up & have caused severe itching. Very disappointed with the level of cleanliness.

fantastic views; staff were very pleasant and always spoke to us
lounge heater didn’t work; couch looked like it came off the rubbish dump; upstairs toilet barely flushed; fridge froze all our food even when turned to the warmest setting
