situato in una tranquilla via del paese l'ostello è dotato di un facile parcheggio, di una cucina ben fornita e di un comodo giardinetto interno con tavolini. la camera era spaziosa, con ventilatore e deumidificatore

il bagno della camera non era in ottime condizioni

Bon séjour

L'espace collectif (cuisine et salle à manger) sont agréables et très bien équipés. Grande salle de bains dans notre chambre. Bien situé pour visiter la petite ville et faire des courses mais au même temps dans une rue calme.

La chambre aurait mérité d'avoir un peu plus de ventilation (odeur d'humidité)

Etwas dunkel gehaltene Zimmer; Laufnähe zum Zentrum; sehr ruhig gelegen; gut ausgestattete und saubere Küche mit Gasherd, Wasserkocher, Kaffeemaschine, Kühlschrank und großzügigem Essbereich; Dusche mit Heißwasser; sehr nette Besitzerin (jedoch nur sporadisch vor Ort)

Klimaanlage sehr laut im Betrieb und dadurch eigentlich nicht nutzbar; bei unserem Aufenthalt wirkte das Hostal nicht sehr belebt

Good for a short stay

Owner was very nice and often had a friend visiting who spoke English to us to translate. Kitchen space is big and clean, lots of cutlery/pans etc. Small hostel so it doesn't get busy, very quiet.

You get what you pay for, it was very cheap. But the room had only a fan and no window so no ventilation. In hind sight I'd have paid more to stay somewhere with a better way to cool off.

The lady in the front of the hostel was very kind and the hostel was located near to the city center! The shower was also warm. The hostel was very cheap, which was nice!

The AC was present but did not work properly. I thought the room was not hygienic, e.g.; mold in the shower and a used condom next to the bed. We experienced extreme noise complaints the first night, people were drinking beer until 4 in the morning in the common area.

Perfectly decent hostal in good location.

No breakfast. Room was ok ( see below about fan) kitchen was well kept, but maybe I was lucky with the guests who were there,

It was hardly manned only to get the money from us. We had a key to get in and out of main door .Room was ok but the fan was poor and so really hot in the room. A little grubby.

Perfekter Aufenthalt in La Fortuna

Perfekte, ruhige Lage. Etwa 250m vom Zentrum entfernt. Sehr liebevoll gestaltetes Hostel mit geräumigen und sauberen Zimmern. Die Küche ist ausgezeichnet eingerichtet mit 2 Kühlschränken und allen Kochutensilien.Zudem gibt es einen Aufenthaltsbereich draußen. Ana und Kathy helfen dir gern sofort bei allen Fragen freundlich und kompetent vor Ort oder virtuell. Sie sind hervorragende Gastgeber. Dieses Hostel ist einfach genial

mixed feelings

This one is tough to judge, because the owners have done the best they probably could to offer as comfy accommodation as possible. Honestly, the quality of beds and the pillows was better than in all 4 star hotels we have ever stayed in Costarica. The only reason we stayed here for 1 night was the fact that the whole town was basically booked out as we chose a bank holiday weekend and we had no idea. Booked it as a last minute option cause we did not want to end up sleeping in a car. The rooms have no windows that open into an outside space but only into a hallway so fairly claustrophobic, but as I already mentioned the bed was super comfy. Our room was right next to social area with open space kitchen so we knew and smelled everything people were eating there or cooking.... really hard to give a review as it is a big mix of big pros fighting with big cons. Overall definitely OK for 1 overnight we needed

Great location (not on main drag), friendly and helpful staff, secure entrance. Kitchen facilities were good.

Room had no air flow. Very stuffy. Fan blew around the air, but it was too stuffy in room.

A very good, value for money accommodation

Simple clean hostel convenient for town but in a quiet location Kathryn - Spanish speaking but no problem for non speakers, expert use of translate - is friendly and very helpful, always available despite being non resident A good kitchen.

Great kitchen and free coffee, nice and close to the centre of town. Kathryn was really helpful in booking us a taxi to Monteverde 😄

The bathroom was a little bit dirty, but not too bad.

Very good

Really good kitchen, if you like to cook on your trip to save on money, or just because you like cooking this is the place to go. Felt like home. Airconditioning and fan are sufficient to keep the room cool. Location was alright, just outside of the noisy and busy area, not too far to walk:) Staff was super friendly Price/quality really good

A little bit noisy but all other guests are probably like minded people if you book this. So we had really nice, gentle other people and nights we quite and comfortable.

Kitchen looked well equipped (although we didn't end up using it) Staff were very helpful and available for any questions/booking tours Room was very affordable Not too far from main town

There was a hole in the grouting of the shower and we had small cockroaches coming into our bathroom It's an old aircon system which is really loud, my husband found it fine but I found the noise too loud to get to sleep easily The drains in our bathroom smelt quite bad at times

Perdect location

Great location and perfect for kids. 2-4 min walking distance from downtown park and it’s very quiet at night.
