The location was perfect, very quiet and close to everything. Very lovely villa and private.

Only of our age it was a little bit far from main area and beach. It was roomy. Plenty of space. I would have liked aircon in living area. It was very hot in the afternoons.
Tv could have been better and a comfy chair for relaxing in the living room.

Il nostro appartamento era grande, pulitissimo e confortevole. Il vero punto di forza della struttura però è il cortile interno con i divanetti e la piscina immersa nel verde. Muri è una host dolcissima e gentilissima. Noi abbiamo un bambino piccolo e ci siamo trovati bene sotto ogni aspetto, ci hanno fornito anche un comodo letto da campeggio. Sicuramente la consiglio quindi per chi viaggia con bambini

Starling Villas are great value for money. The decor is a little like 80's eclectic had a baby with moroccan bohemia.
We arrived late at night but were greeted by the Manager.
The Villa is large. One side is the bedroom and bathroom. The other is the kitchen and lounge area. A glass sliding door divides the two areas. There are heavy black curtains you can close if one person is asleep and the other is awake or to shut out the daylight.
The rooms are older but well kept and clean.
The bathroom had a shower and bath. The bath would be difficult to get in and out if you have mobility issues as it's very tall and deep. The shower is easy to access.
The villa itself is good if you have mobility issues as there is only a small step to get inside and the rest of the villa is one level. Side note: We don't have mobility issues but I'm aware we will one day.
The kitchen has the basics including a cook top. No microwave. Bottled water on tap which is great.
The TV is tiny but you're on holiday so who cares and it has Netflix.
The location was great. Starling Villas is located in a quiet side street in Sanur. You cannot hear the traffic at all. It sits between the main road in Sanur and the Bypass Rd. Grab and Gojek had no problem in finding the Villas.
You also get a free cat with every room. The resident cats are very friendly.
There is an outdoor communal pavilion where you can eat and there is a microwave there.
We never used the pool but it was clean and looked nice.
There were a few families staying there at the same time as us. Despite the little kids floating around it was really quiet.
The rooms were cleaned every day.
There are quite a few restaurants very near by and as mentioned, the main road through Sanur is only 400 metres away. There are a lot of very good restaurants, spas and shops nearby.
There is a supermarket just around the corner on the main street.
I rate Starling Villas very highly for value for money.
The door to the bathroom had to be locked if you wanted it shut as the latch didn't work but that's just me being picky.
We did get a swarm of small bugs every day in the bathroom but they stayed on the roof so after spraying them one day we didn't bother when they returned because they stayed on the roof and left us alone.
The couch in the lounge needs a thicker cushion.

Excellent location, very spacious villa with all necessary fittings for a very comfortable stay. Miss Muri is an excellent host and made my stay extremely comfortable.

Absolutely loved our stay here, it was a great place with all the facilities you require for enjoyable holiday, very close to restaurants, warungs, massages, laundry. Close to the main street of Sanur and 10 Min walk to the beach. The hosts Simon and Muri made you feel so welcome, they go way beyond to make your stay excellent, highly recommend this place for holidays whether for a short or long stay. We shall be back again next year, thanks so much!!

Location was great,walking distance to main shopping street. Was very quiet. All in all very nice little place to stay. Would definitely stay again.

Nice quit spot in vivid location of Sanur. Simple low key stay perfect for a couple of nights.
Owner could make the place a little bit more cozy; nice lightning and a comfortable couch will do the trick.

Excellent owner! Great apartment. Good price. Fast internet (70-90 MB/s at the garden, 30-40 MB/s in the room). Nice cafes and restaurants around the villa. You can drive by car. It's a 10-minute walk to the ocean. Thank you very much!

Starling villas was perfect for me.
I am a solo female traveler and the location was wonderful very close to the shopping stores and pretty much anything you would need is definitely within walking distance. The apartment is complete with kitchen dishes your choice of shower or bathtub in the bathroom and it is nestled in a garden atmosphere with five or six other apartments so it is very quiet and the people we're friendly and the staff was very very friendly. I would highly recommend this location to of course other solos couples and families.
I personally didn't like that the TV was only available should you have Netflix or something like that on your phone and you control the TV through your phone which I don't even know how to do so that meant I had no TV.

A 15 minute amble to the beach. Loads of close by options for food from cheap & local to more expensive in hotels/restaurants. Easy to call a Grab. Muri, our host, would call a Bluebird for us. Lovely little clean pool at our doorstep with options for lounging in or out of the sun. Easy Chromecast for our phone Netflix account onto the local TV. Communal pagoda area for lounging, reading or working available. Lovely well kept gardens all around. It's a private little gem. With 6 rooms there are not too many people.
While the rooms were clean & tidy they could use a little bit of updating and maintenance (true of a lot of places in Bali). Wifi was intermittent - mostly good but occasionally the Netflix program we were watching would drop out.

It's a nice place if you plan to stay longer in Sanur. The 6 rooms villa earns her loyal return guests from mostly European countries, with very good tourist attitude and quality, because they like this nice quiet environment with good privacy, so do I. The room I stayed was newly renovated with Bali-Chic style, comfortable with big space if you just want to stay in the room. The staffs are very nice, friendly and helpful, especially the manager Ms. Muri, very good English speaking, so asked what you are interested about Bali. Environment friendly, if you want the room to be clean daily, just let the staffs know.
Good location with 5mins walk to big supermarket and several small supermarkets, kitchen is available if you would like to cook. About 7mins walk to the nice Sanur beach. Easy to get fine dining on the street or small Warungs cuisine in the alleies.

It was a great place to stay! Starting with location - in 5-10 mins walk you have bike rent, sea, big supermarket, laundry, restaurants etc. Also Muri was a friendly host. The room is clean, the kitchen has the basic stuff. The pool is small but cozy. The Wi-Fi was OK for work. There’s water gallon in the room. The hot water was rather stable. And also you can meet several friendly cats there 😺
The furniture is a bit old already, so it smells, but you get acquainted. Also, the living room has only fan without conditioner, so it can get hot during the day. The kitchen stuff could be a little more.

We really enjoyed our (2 weeks) stay at Starling Villas.
Staf members, Simon and Muri were the highlight and made us feel very much at home. They were friendly, attent and keep the place in great shape!
There was even a cot and a baby chair waiting for us to make our stay even more pleasant
The pool and surrounding garden felt like an hidden away paradise and there is plenty of shade to hide from the heat.
The villa had great internet connection, the separation of the living room and bedroom was great for our family (our 2 yr old slept great while we were still awake).
Comfortable bed with soft bed linen and great darkening curtains kept us sleeping well after sunrise.
Location was good, just a few minutes walk to the beach, a supermarket, restaurants and shops.

The villa has everything that we need which was quite tricky to find in Sanur. We like it that our villa was spacious enough for our 1 year old, it has kitchen which means we can make meals for our little one. Location was great, walking distance from the beach. Plenty of restaurants around (and you can also order meal delivery). The pool was a relief during hot day. We could also sit in the common area when we had to work, there was not much noise from the street or other guests. Our room is cleaned everyday or per request. For perspective, we stayed a little over 2 weeks.

Overall we enjoyed everything but it would be even better to have:
- some TV channels
- lamp underneath kitchen cupboard (cause we use kitchen everyday)

Fantastic location, really enjoyed Sanur and was easy to access other parts of the island from here. The staff were exceptional and couldn't have been more helpful. We really enjoyed the facilities and loved Starling Villas, it was a great sanctuary for us whilst in Bali
No complaints that we can think of, any query we had or request was met and generally exceeded.
