Great location, close to every diving site. Very friendly staff. It has everything I need. I would recommend to everyone.
8.0 / 10.0
It was charming, clean and equipped with everything we needed.
Apartment is relatively close to everything and safe. It was a comfortable and quiet stay. Owner responded promptly when needed.
The 4 /5 flights of stairs! No elevator.
Could be challenging for someone with a physical disability …..definitely a workout with 40lb luggage.

The apartment is so cute and has everything you would need. I enjoyed my coffee in the lanai every morning. The location is great, delicious poke right across the street from Da Poke Shack (they run out of poke before closing so it was so easy to walk there as soon as they opened). It's a short drive to the city center, as well as an easy drive south. The kids also enjoyed the pool on our last day.

Good location and a good place to stay. Had a small issue when checking in, but it was quickly resolved as the property was quick to respond and act.

everything was perfect - the lanai (balcony) was gorgeous! the bed was comfortable, everything was clean.
nothing - the property was great! the location was a bit far from the main centre so couldn’t walk to town but that’s ok!

The location was outstanding and the apartment was beautifully appointed with everything one could want for a great stay! Across the street from Da Poke Shack and close to Magic Sands. Plenty of kitchen supplies and beach gear. They thought of everything!

nice design, good quiet location
10.0 / 10.0
I liked the extra amenities provided by the hostess: a wide range of beach equipment, tea and coffee, cooking utensils. laundry supplies, and clear instructions on how to use everything. The space was clean and welcoming.
Being asked to turn the A/C off whenever we were gone bothered my mom a bit, but we understand you are just trying to keep energy costs down.

Location is a couple of minute drive to downtown Kona. Property has washer and dryer.
Air conditioning only in bedroom; July is a very hot month.

Air conditioner in the front room didn’t work properly so the apartment was really hot

This property is very clean and affordably priced. we had a very comfortable stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Loved the little details. Shampoo, conditioner, and even a first aid kit. Super clean also! My favorite part was the washer and dryer! It was nice coming home with clean clothes!!!
Living room AC didn't want to pump out cold air. So it got pretty hot in the afternoons. Bedroom AC worked great though. Also was a little hard to find at night. The entrance looks like an alley, so we were confused on where to turn.
10.0 / 10.0
It was off the main road so noise was minimal. Third floor gave a sense of security. It was nicely furnished. AC in the bedroom was a great addition.

Excellent location, clean, and kind and accommodative host. Would definitely stay again.
A bit warm inside during the day, but that’s when you should be outside enjoying Hawaii. Plenty comfortable otherwise.
8.0 / 10.0
Clean and comfortable place in a convenient location on the main coast road just a couple miles south from "downtown" Kona. Was out and about most of the time so I didnt make full use of all the amenities offered, ie pool, kitchen, beach gear(i have my own)--but given the chance, i wouldve been happy to stay longer :)

Spacious enough for the 3 of us. Kitchen really functional and a rare find to have sharp cooking knives.
The shower is inconsistent and difficult to regulate.

no direct ocean view but knew that coming in

Large space and close to airport
They have a bed bug problem and I had asked since I saw reviews commenting it prior to stay and they told me that it was not an issue. Then my mom and I got bitten all over and I found the bed bugs after they supposedly cleaned out and switched mattress. Host told me that it was an expected outcome with the amount of travelers they get and it being the tropics which is ridiculous because tons of other hosts have not had this issue. They initially denied that it was a problem and told me it was an allergic reaction but my mother woke up at 3 AM with welts all over and I had welts all over my legs. They refunded me in the end but they didn’t want to until I had photographic bed bug evidence.

Living furnishings were nice!
Snorkeling equipment, bogie board, chairs, umbrella provided.
New dishwasher
New bathroom sink
Bed linens had stains - yuck. (throw those away!!!!)
Observed bugs in bed.
Shower faucet needs replacement....cannot set to a temperature (easily).
A/C for living room also was to cool kitchen, hallway & bathroom. This is impossible. It was always hot....except 7am-11am. So when you returned for the day you had to hide in small bedroom.
Bedroom A/C noisy.

The A/C was a lifesaver on very warm days. Having a washer/dryer made self-catering easy. Owner was friendly and accommodated all special requests, and you can't beat the value for the money in Kailua.

We woke up to bird chirping in the morning.
The property had a lot of handy things like utensils, coffee, sugar, dishwasher, washer-dryer. We used beach accessories which turned out very convenient - chairs, mat, surf board, pool noodle, flashlight. There were other things like umbrellas, sunscreen, snorkeling fins which we didn't use though. Furniture, accessories and air conditioners were good. The outer room was nice place to hang out.
The host, Jason and his friend Adam helped us when I had a swimming accident with splinters. They got first aid for us when asked.
The shower faucet was broken, it would randomly provide very hot burning water and wasn't consistent to set. There was used food in the fridge.
We were not provided the access code when we arrived, we had some struggle getting the access code late in the night.
10.0 / 10.0
the apartment is equipped above and beyond. from small but import things like coffee and filters to laundry detergent. But the apartment also provides things like boogy boards, fins, masks and even beach chairs. The apartment also provides lots of towels for bath and the beach.
The apartment has a good basic cleanliness but there’s a bit room for improvements, as there was dust under the bed. This is most likely because of the size of the apartment.

the bedroom air conditioner made the difference for our stay. the stocked kitchen and basic supplies also allowed us to prep all but a few meals during our 10 day stay. having Coffee/Whitener and sugar supplied was wonderful especially on day 1. whoever did the decor well done, loved it. Roku/Netflix was nice to have and the staff were responsive when we needed them. good cooler for the beach and supplied ziploc bags was an added bonus. price was good for the budget.
the living room air conditioner was our biggest negative as we felt it was not good and the afternoon sun heats up the place so it was unbearable in the evenings. the blinds in the lanai also need replacing and the shower is tricky requiring strategy to use as it goes from cold plunge to scalding hot to cold again with little warning. no fault to the host, but the wafting cannabis/ smoke coming from outside through the lanai was a bit much at times.we did though enjoy our stay for the most part and all the negatives are minor except the main room ac and because of that we would not likely book again. this property is also located behind a hostel.

Good space and value for money as compared to other locations
Unfortunately I was bitten every night by bedbugs, that need to be eradicated ASAP before you receive guest complaints. I stripped and washed bed linens, but still got bitten, and came out in welts. I took pix to document.

It was super. Across the street from the ocean, down the street from restaurants and shops. Wonderful accomodations, everything you need, coffee, cream and sugar. Dishwasher, laundry. Best of all Jason, was on top of everything. Called me right back, super accommodating so our stay was absolutely marvelous.
Not much. Everything seemed wonderful to us. A frozen pizza in the freezer and beer in the fridge, lol

The apartment was so comfortable and in a great location, we had an amazing time and the host was also amazing! Will definitely be staying here again ❤️

The bed was comfortable the bedroom stayed cool. I loved that they had scuba gear and boogie boards.
The location was amazing!
They advertised that it had A/C but the living room unit didn't cool anything because it was boxed in and over heated. When we texted about it they asked if we had it on fan not cold then sent someone out who turned it on said it worked then left.

Had a serious personal injury during my stay, while on an excursion. The homeowner went out of her way to help me collect my things from the property, as I was not able to return before my stay ended.
Admittedly concerned about security - there's no safe (that I could find), to protect my laptop/valuables, while I was out exploring. Also had problems maintaining shower temperature - temp would fluctuate quite hot and very cold, regardless of time of day.
