In general we liked the cottage; the layout was good and spacious. Ample parking was provided. Simple decor and not cluttered. Plenty of towels provided and the provision of a washer and a drier was much appreciated. Appreciated the provision of a downstairs bathroom; thoughtful feature. The Welcome Food ‘hamper’ was thoughtful and enjoyed; great bread! Also plenty of room for coats and shoes by the door. The weather was not the best, so made good use of the heated floor as needed. The location in the pretty village of Stanton was idyllic with a pub in walking distance.
The website photos did not show the construction & construction material immediately adjacent on two side of the cottage, so first impressions were disappointing. Despite the large windows in the dining room the views were obscured by large bushes. Although an iron table and 4 chairs were provided outside, there was no seating provided in which to relax outside should the weather have permitted. The area with the tiny stream once cleared would have been a lovely area in which to relax.
The bedrooms were a good size though the bed in the main bedroom was too small and did not afford a good nights sleep. There was no place in the kitchen to store groceries and so had to be ‘stored’ on the counter. Clearer instructions for the use of the microwave especially would have been useful. The information files provided needed some updating and a bit more love.
The kitchen clock was at 9:45 when we arrived until we changed the battery to make it work.
However, despite these constructive criticisms we did enjoy our time there and if looking for a peaceful stay would recommend.

Great location. Lovely, well equipped property finished to a very high standard. Lots of space for 4 adults.
A couple of minor things: There is no freezer and only a small fridge with an ice box at the top. This was ok for 3 nights but would have been difficult for a week. Slightly bigger beds would be nice.

Graet location. Fabulous property which was very warm and well equipped. Lovely views from the bedrooms and great bathrooms with lots of hot water. Delightful hosts who were very welcoming. Good pub in the village as well.
The beds were VERY comfortable but maybe the double could have been a little bigger, but that really is splitting hairs. there was nothing to dislike

We loved how comfortable the cottage was, everything worked well. It was warm, well equipped, quiet and clean. The bedrooms overlook fields so it’s really calming. The sitting room was very cosy and it was lovely watching the sunset whilst reading a book. It’s a perfect place to get away from it all for a few days.

Stunning cottage , modern and well equipped. Semi rural location , tucked away overlooking fields. One pub in the village a short walk away. Very sociable hosts , the fresh bread, eggs, butter and apple juice on arrival was a lovely touch. This cottage is a real gem in a very good location to tour the Cotswolds. We really didn’t want to leave.
Nothing , but if we had to mention one thing it would be a request for more comfy patio chairs .
