The location was perfect. Beautiful well kept gardens and Mullins Beach just across the road. Delia and Bird are the most delightful hosts, so warm, welcoming and kind. Enjoyed some great conversations. Accommodation has everything you could need, cleaned twice a week.
It is lovely to just sit outside on the terrace in the morning and read a book or watch the wildlife. A chicken laid 4 eggs underneath the terrace wall and stayed sitting on them until we left! We would return in a heartbeat ☺️
There is nothing to dislike!

This is an amazing place, I am happy I stayed there and would definitely come back. it's beautifully located in a lush garden, the condos are nicely furnished and the beach is just across the road. there are nice beach bars and food options nearby. Dee is very kind and helpful. I'd really recommend

We were welcomed like family. De and Alex created the perfect place to spend some relaxing time in Barbados, and were always available to answer any sort of questions and give us some useful tips. This intimate condo was great for our family of 4 and perfectly equipped.
The common areas are also very well maintained, with full access to an amazing swimming pool area, just perfect!
Our stay was too short :-)

The location was perfect for me. Close to the beach and the gas station. Easy access to buses. Less than five minutes to the beach. All the beautiful greenery, flowers, birds, butterflies on the property were incredible. Loved having the pool on property as well. I was treated with the outmost respect! Would return in a heartbeat!
Nothing.

It was private, well kept, and had interesting plant life with a variety of fruit bearing and ornamental tropical plants. Monkeys visited every evening, and while close to the beach it was enough off the beaten track to be safe and quiet. We enjoyed the pool and the surrounding neighbourhood. The family who runs it were very down-to-earth and helpful when we needed it. We had great excursions thanks to their advice, and there was parking for our rental car.
There is nothing we didn't like about the property.

I loved everything about my stay here. The condos are family run and it has a very homely and welcoming feeling to it. It doesn't feel like you are a customer but one of the household. Excellent location and very close to the beach and other amenities. Will return asap!

Dee and Bird were great hosts!! They gave us a choice of rooms and even gave us a ride to and from the supermarket 2 km away to pick up essentials for the week. The gardens on the property were lovely, and the pool was refreshing!
Mullins Beach was just across the road .

Great location very friendly people
Nowhere to go for breakfast within walking distance

Delia and Bird were fantastic hosts and the location and grounds of the Legend Garden are fantastic. It may feel a little out of the way but actually provided very easy access to Speightstown and being right on Mullins Beach can't be beaten.
Our only downside is we would have liked a slightly better air conditioning unit. The room was still quite hot and stuffy even when sleeping at night.

Our hosts Dee and Bird were brilliant and so friendly. As were the other staff we met. A special shout out to Ena who was so kind to our toddler.
The pool is really nice and there were always lots of sunbeds available.
Seeing monkies, chickens, the tortoises and a humming bird in the gardens.
Really close to the beach and some nice places to eat.
Nothing :)

The hosts are extremely welcoming nothing is too much trouble.. Each room is individual decorated and quirky. There is a nice pool and we were lucky enough to see monkeys in the tree's just behind on one occasion. Everything you could need is there. The beach at the end of the drive is stunning. We went snorkelling there and saw some colourful fish, large and small. I saw a puffa fish for the first time..
Highly recommended

Delia & Bird made us so welcome right from the start and during our whole time with them, They couldn't have done more to make us feel part of the family, as did all the staff.
Such a relaxing place to stay, great apartments - a real home from home, lovely swimming pool and the location is absolutely fantastic, set in an old plantation with lots of beautiful trees and flowers.
Snorkelling on the beaches just a short walk from the apartments was stunning with turtles in the sea and an amazing array of fish.
Really hope to come and stay again very soon !
Nothing to dislike.

We were very well treated and supported by the owners Delia and Bird. Also enjoyed meeting a group of other guests. The property is beautiful and quiet. The beach is very good and close by. The room is good and well equipped, including a kitchen.
Contrary to expectations, there is now no place nearby (within about 2.5 km) to eat breakfast (there were some that closed). There are several good restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner, though they are expensive. The pillows provided on the bed had no pillow covers, and thus do not meet proper sanitation standards.

I loved absolutely everything. Comfortable, beautifully decorated and in a very relaxing location. Everyone was friendly, I would definitely return. There were monkeys and turtles. My daughter loved the foliage outside and colourful artwork in the rooms. Kitchen wel equipped.
Can't think of anything.

Vi spent a wonderful week at the Legend during Christmas. The condo was bright and cozy, more spacious than it seemed from the pictures, and with all the necessary facilities. You can chill out in the house's pleasant and green surroundings, and we got to see both monkeys and the turtles. 2 min. walk to Mullins beach and 10 min to stunning Gibbs beach. But the most charming side of the place was, by far, the hosts. Delia and Bird were super welcoming, professional, friendly and helpful. It seemed more like visiting the family during Christmas than a holiday stay. We're so happy we chose this place for our first stay in Barbados!

really good location 2 mins walk from Mullins beach but peaceful away from the crowds

location - close to where we wanted to be next day
the apartment was very ‘busy’ - a lot of clunky furniture in the living room made it feel unfinished;

The hosts were so friendly and helpful. It has a great familly atmosphere and loads for helpful advise and support to really get the most out of the area.

Great location just south of Spreightstown. Beach right across the street and restaurants as well as a gas station with a small food shop in walking distance.
The apartment itself was quite spacious and lovingly decorated. It included a fully equipped kitchen and air conditioning is included (many places charge extra). Wifi connection inside was strong enough to support video calls.
The apartments are surrounded by a beautiful green space where you can see monkeys, turtles and birds. You can't hear any noise from the road.
The owners and employees are amazing and helpful and everybody made me feel very welcome!

Made very welcome and well looked after. Well equipped accommodation. Lovely quiet location with great beach and good eating places nearby. Monkeys a bonus.
Having to leave.

The estate/grounds are natural and authentic - the gardens are established and very attractive. The location is excellent, especially for those who enjoy the beach and eating out. There are bars and cafes in both directions and good public transport. The air con and fan did their job and a minor bathroom issue was sorted out promptly. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable and struck a good balance between being available but not intrusive.
For holiday- makers looking for luxurious fixtures and fittings who like things to be fresh and new, this might not be the right choice. The apartments are very lived-in but offer excellent value for money and are absolutely fine for easy going travellers who just want a base.

Staff and owners excellent, location really good.

The reviews for the Legend Garden Condos were a bit mixed, so I didn't really know what to expect before I arrived - but I had a really great time. The owners are very personal and do a great job chatting to their guests and connecting guests with each other. The place has a very laid-back Caribbean vibe - it's part of an old plantation and there are lots of nice plants and trees and a good selection of wildlife, from the free-roaming monkeys to the beautiful turtles. The nearest beach, Mullins Beach, is a two-minute walk away although I spent all my time on Gibbs Beach which is a 10-15 minute walk from the property and which I preferred much more.
I didn't have a car but managed fine - it's easy to get to the property from the airport either by taxi or by bus and the petrol station (for essentials) or Jordan's supermarket in Speightstown are within walking distance, as are a good number of restaurants (which, in fairness, I hardly used other than a nice but slightly expensive lunch at the Sea Shed).
I only spent six days at Barbados, but will definitely back and would like to stay at the Legend Garden Condos again.
There wasn't anything I didn't like, but the only thing I would say that there are a few small areas which could be improved, for example my mosquito net had a few small holes in it and the kitchen inventory had a few items missing. That said, I'd much rather stay at this property with its relaxed vibe and friendly owners rather than a large sterile 5-star hotel.

The place is brilliant, perfectly located to explore Barbados and see the best beaches on the island as well as some amazing restaurants. The hosts are extremely accommodating and will go out of their way to help. Will 100% be coming back.
The only thing we didn’t like was that we had to leave!!

Situation on the West coast is perfect and it is in a quiet area away from the bustle of the beach but within easy walking distance of lots of beaches.
Delia and Bird were fantastic hosts - nothing too much trouble.
Nothing - we loved it!

What a find of a place. It's full of charm and character, and a thoroughly enjoyable place to stay. The location is ideal for many things. At the end of the drive is the beach (which you might think is to be expected on Barbados, but many of the hotels are actually a good 10 minute walk inland). The beaches are good, and is actually where the most exclusive development of private properties on the island (Westmorelands) has their beach club. In addition, on the beaches at the end of the road are a couple of great restaurants, with one of them (Sea Shed) being a bit of a destination on the island. Also, just a few hundred yards away is a petrol station, which has a good shop that supplies many of the things you need to prepare breakfasts and light meals. The owners of the condos are lovely people, and they'll do whatever they can to help.
I felt that the place was full of charm, and everyone I spoke to loved the condos - I certainly wouldn't ask for anything more. But, if you want manicured gardens and pristine presentation, then you may be better booking one of the resorts on the island.
