Great place to catch a northern light :)

Hot tub! We felt really comfortable there and views were amazing.

The overall maintenance was not good, missing light bulbs, gap under front door, worn out sheets and more.
The bedroom is extremely cramped, there is access to the double bed only from one side so you have to climb over your partner to get in and out of bed. There is no bedside table or other space to put your phone/alarm clock/book.

Location, home and surroundings was just great! Birna, the host, is the star!

Beautiful nature surrounding the area. The bed was comfortable and the shower nice and warm.
We were staying in the smallest of the three houses. The inside looked a bit like a trailer and instead of handles the kitchen had tape to pull the drawers and cabinets open. This wasn’t very hygienic. The atmosphere was not very cozy either and it looked rather unfinished.
One out of two doors couldn’t be locked. That didn’t really feel very comfortable when going out leaving our belongings in the house.
There were tiny flies everywhere near the windows. At first I didn’t really bother, but waking up I discovered my body covered in itchy bumps. I thought it was an allergic reaction at first but when I “disposed” of some of the flies they contained blood. After doing some research I found out these little buggers are some kind of mosquitos. After the second night I had even more itchy bumps and was glad I didn’t have to stay another night. Aside from the stings it also felt very unhygienic to see dead flies all around the windows and also on the roller-blinders.

The host was fantastic! She was super accommodating and ensured we had all the information we needed. The lodge is very well stocked and had everything that we needed for a few days stay! The location is great for exploring.
We couldnt get the TV or internet to work - not really the end of the world for us as we didnt have time to use it much. I have no doubt that if we had contacted the host she would have assisted us in rectifying the matter though!

Lovely view (we caught the northern lights from both of the windows) and well equipped kitchen. There's even some board games, DVDs and a few books in English and Icelandic (thumbs up for Ken Follet!)

This was our first stay in Iceland during our road trip and it was more than perfect! The owner was really nice and friendly - we felt really welcomed in the cottage :) The cottage itself was clean, very well equipped - there was everything that we needed. Beautiful and peaceful area.
I really recommend this cottage and would definitely stay there again.
Nothing - everything was perfect!

Very pretty little cottage in the quiet countryside. Very well equipped. Very friendly communication.

We booked the house for the weekend of New Year's celebrations. Check-in was very easy and straightforward, no problem to find the cabin. The house is fully equipped and cozy.
The house could be cleaner - both coffee machines were dirty and the water was full of rust when we turned it on, apparently because it has not been used for a while. We told the owner and she acknowledged that and gave us a little discount. Also, the hot tub looked nice from the outside, but full of cold, slightly dirty water, so we did not end up using it.
