About this house rental
Enjoy the beautiful coastal lifestyle of Marion Bay and Innes National Park. There is something here for everyone - surfing, fishing, native birds and wildlife, beautiful beaches and spectacular coastline to explore.
At 28 Osprey Drive, the Eyrie Holiday House is right on the boundary of the National Park, and is only five minutes walk from Willyama Beach. Backing down onto a reserve, this pole home takes in sweeping views of native scrub and salt lakes.
The Eyrie can accommodate up to nine people. It has four bedrooms - two queens and one double, and the fourth bedroom has a bunk plus a single bed. We have a portable cot and high chair available for use. There is one bathroom, with a second WC in the laundry.
Linen is not supplied, guests provide their own sheets, pillow cases and towels.
The central area has a generous open plan kitchen, dining and living area, satellite TV and video/dvd. A wall of north facing windows let the winter sun pour in and provides cross ventilation for the summer sea breeze . Cooling and heating are supported by a split system air conditioner in the central living area and overhead and standing fans in the bedrooms.
The kitchen is well equipped with a family sized fridge, electric oven, induction cooktop, rangehood, dishwasher, microwave, slow cooker, toaster, kettle, cookware, crockery and cutlery. Enjoy beautiful sunsets out on the deck, which has an outdoor table setting and gas bbq.
Locality
Marion Bay is located at the Southern most tip of the Yorke Peninsula. It borders the Innes National Park, with rugged coastline, historic sites, nature walks, and excellent fishing and surfing spots. The Marion Bay tavern serves excellent meals and hospitality. There is a local jetty and boat ramp for the fishers. Penguin Point and Willyama Beach offer good safe swimming locations, especially for children.
Property
The Eyrie is an elevated pole home which takes in unobstructed sweeping native scrub, national park and salt lake views. The house backs down onto a reserve, overlooked by the main balcony and second private balcony attached to the main bedroom (both north facing). This bedroom also has direct access to the two-way bathroom.
Pets
We do allow dogs however as the property is unfenced, our preference is to keep them secure on the balcony. Our neighbour has chickens so please keep your pooch supervised and under effective control outside. If brought inside, please keep them off the beds and furniture and ensure that all hair is thoroughly cleaned prior to departure. Excess cleaning fees may apply where these conditions are not met.

Wonderful accommodation, great kitchen, and perfect bbq area on upstairs veranda and cool lounge area and with a 40c weekend the aircon was fantastic.

Everything is there you need and more with the wifi and plenty of space. Perfect for a family or just the guys going fishing.
The only thing I would say is there needs to be a can and bottle bin so the owner can cash them in and make the extra cash.
Thanks Matt.

This house met all our expectations and we loved our stay. An extremely clean, comfortable, well appointed house with a beautiful protected deck overloooking scrub and distant views. A very short walk to a stunning beach and a 5 minute drive into the National Park for great beaches and wild places.
We had trouble unlocking the key box but a phone call to the owner was promptly answered and our problem was easily sorted out.
We hope to return here. Highly recommend.

Had a very relaxing 3 night stay away from the hustle and bustle of Adelaide.
Everything needed was supplied except for the linen which we were apply to take with us.
wonderful deck area and very close to the beautiful beach.
Local store is very expensive for supplies so if you are on a tight budget I suggest you take your own essentials. Having said that they do stock a great range of supplies
Thank you for the experience

Great place to stay. Loved the three tables, and we used them all! The place had a great range of crockery and cooking utensils; and the stove, dishwasher, washing machine, vacuum cleaner and fridge are excellent.
We would have liked a clothes basket, and the dish washing cloth supply is too meagre. The place has a lovely selection of board games too. We donated a fly swat or two.

Great house, plenty of space and well fitted out. Rear balcony a perfect spot to relax after hard days fishing. Perhaps a space underneath the house to clean the fish would help and also some crates for the empty beers!
Will definitely return when next in Marion Bay.

Started our holiday away cleaning the master bedroom (bed protectors & covers) before putting ours on. Bedding was covered in pet fur and was yellow from either sweat or pet urine. We ended up putting it all in the washing machine to be cleaned, then waiting for everything to be dried.
Then there were 3 couches, two fabric couches strained and full of fur, which couldn't be vacuumed. We then vacuumed/sprayed and wiped down the leather couch for us to use for our weeks stay.
Unfortunately, this experience has made our stay very unpleasant.
We have also taken our own dogs with us with their own beds & crates so that they have their own bedding and smell.
They were stressed because we had to vacuum/ clean before cooking and eventually sleeping on our first night here.
We generally come to marion bay once or twice a year for fishing and hikes but it has been a first at this house.
The previous people that had stayed before us didn't clean up after themselves. Instead, they hid a used baking trays in the cupboard, still wrapped in aluminium foil and oil.The owner did offer to send over a cleaner the following day, but we had already done the cleaning of the bedroom & kitchen.
It was a mixed stay because other than the cleanliness of the accommodation, it is nicely furnished and well layed out house design for a large family.

Enjoyed our stay at this lovely house in Marion Bay very spacious and all you could need was there, the only thing that let it down was the BBQ looked like it hadn't been cleaned for ages

Beautiful setting amongst trees.
The roomy living/dining with well appointed kitchen was comfortaable and tastefully decorated and the outside barbecue appreciated.

Overall, place is nice and comfortable.
There are plenty of room to move around.
Few things to mention about cleanliness:
- BBQ was very dirty and needed proper cleaning before use
- frying pans and some kitchen utensils were dirty too
- outside light next to the entrants door not working
General comment:
- if you are charging a cleaning fee one would expect to find a place clean and ready for use
- some furniture are pretty old and need maintenance or replacement.

I take full responsibility for not reading fine print. No bedding, towels or any other necessities. We didn’t stay, we left immediately. Owner was nice but it did not reflect the pictures and little things like coffee mugs dirty, the house smelt, heater did not work.
Owner stated it was budget accommodation and we needed to pay more for nice properties in area.
We have been to many Stayz properties. Unfortunately, just disappointed. The owner communicated and was lovely but we have to be honest how we felt when we arrived.
