About this house rental
The Mooring - A new family friendly coastal retreat home located one street back from the quiet beach (100m to the beach) & calm squid filled waters of Marion Bay. The gateway (5 min drive) to Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park, where you will find emus, kangaroos, shipwrecks, dolphins & many beautiful beaches to explore, as well as the historic township of Inneston, lighthouses & Stenhouse Bay jetty.
The Mooring is only a 500m walk to the Marion Bay Jetty, Tavern & General Store.
This new 4 bedroom (7 beds, sleeping 10 people) costal retreat is a place you can enjoy relaxing in or using as a base to explore the bottom end of the Yorke Peninsula. With 2 living areas, 2 TVs (1 with Satellite TV) & 2 bathrooms. The beach end of the house is a spacious open plan living & dining area with a fully equipped kitchen. The second living area is strategically located at the opposite end of the home & is a sun filled retreat.
There is a large undercover deck at the rear with a BBQ, cane lounges & festoon lighting. It’s the spot to sit & relax, drink your coffee whilst the sun rises & enjoy the sea views over to Kangaroo Island. Whilst the smaller front deck with tiered steps, is the perfect spot to view the setting sun & enjoying a nice cold drink.
You can choose to either relax & take it easy or use the home as a base to get out & about, to surf, swim, walk the Yorke, fish or explore what other locations on the Yorke has to offer.
Being in such a beautiful part of the world, comes with one small price – no mains water. The Mooring’s water (as with all properties in Marion Bay) is provided purely by what the rain tanks capture. We therefore ask that you are mindful of your water use whilst staying here.
There is a fish cleaning facility outside, please dispose of the waste thoughtfully & do not store bait in the fridge or freezer.
If you have forgotten to bring items or need to top up your supplies, the Marion Bay General Store will have the key essentials you will need.

Fantastic property to get away for a family or even a couple of families. Close to the beach where we could take the little ones for sandcastle building. Just a short walk to lovely swimming spots (there's a lot of seaweed on the beach at Marion Bay) and a short drive to spectacular beaches in the National Park which is well worth paying for. This property is very well equipped and extremely comfortable if the weather turns bad and you just need to stay in. With a parents retreat with ensuite one end we were able to take turns having a sleep in! Two living areas at each end of the house with 2 TVs and an XBox we spent fun times together as a family but also could set up the kids one end while we watched a grown up movie. Ask the owners about how to get TVs going if you're not technically savvy. This place exceeded our expectations, super clean and check in and check out efficient, we would happily recommend this property for your stay!!

Spacious home with everything you need for a very comfortable and relaxing stay. Home is exceptionally clean, tidy and well maintained (it’s practically brand new). The location is perfect with the beach only meters away and easy access to the jetty, ramp, shop etc. Plenty of room to securely park your car and boat off street. Thank you Craig and Tammy for being such wonderful hosts. Highly recommend.

The incredible view of the water as you walk in from the front door and down the hallway just captures you immediately. The house was set up well with everything you would require for either a short or longer stay. No complaints, had an incredible time in a great location.
