Lovely stay on a floating house

great stay in a floating house. clean room and all needed and clean amenities. Friendly welcome Although far from the centre, the district is quiet and within a 30mn pleasant bike ride

not much just that it’s a bit off center but gives you a good work out.

Great stay at amazing houseboat

Fantasticly hospitable host and practical location just a short tram ride from Central Station. All the essential amenities included. The bed was very comfortable and it wasn't too warm, even though the days were quite hot.

There are a few bugs in summer.

Very friendly and talkative host. Wonderful location just 20 mins away from the central station. A unique experience to live on a floating house. The filling breakfast was a surprise.

Walls between the bedrooms are very thin so you can hear your neighbors. People try to keep it quiet but may not work if you are a light sleeper.

Amazing breakfast. Unique experience of being on a houseboat. Great peaceful location with public transport nearby. Great staff, friendly and good recommendations.

Room got a bit stuffy at times, hard to air. Written communication was a bit too much sometimes, hard to filter for what you need.

Very good solutions for a short stay in Ams :)

The neighbourhood is built on modern solid platforms on a nice lagoon-like bay. Trams are close and you are directly connected to the center. There is a big common space with couch, kitchen and tables. All basic house commodities are available (dishwasher, washing machine, coffee, oil etc...) The mood is chill and friendly and the house is clean. I was offered homemade pizza as soon as arrived, but I don't know if that's common practice :) Three rooms available, and the host was upstairs. Toilet and bathroom are common with other guests, yet very clean and spacious. Will come back next time!

You may hear a bit of noise from other guests, but generally very quiet and cosy.

We were having some doubt with the fact to share the appartment but it's well managed and we felt very comfortable.

Gorgeous floating villa in a peaceful area near Amsterdam

Gorgeous little floating house in a peaceful area outside central Amsterdam. The host was so lovely and kind (I got a coffee and some delicious pastries while waiting for my room to be ready!), the room and bathroom were great (it's a shared bathroom but it's spotlessly clean and has space for you to keep your toiletries which is really nice), but the real bonus is that it's on a lake you can swim in - a really delightful early morning dip before a flight from Schiphol! It's located close to a really good restaurant and some shops, but central Amsterdam is just a 15 minute tram ride away so it's really convenient. A perfect place to escape the chaos of the centre. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Amsterdam.

A little gem in Amsterdam. Highly recommended.

The floating villa aspect of La Corte Sconte B&B is what makes it so special but the host is also really welcoming. A lovely person who makes you feel at home straight away. He highlighted all the places to visit and the good restaurants in the area. He is charming. A great experience!

Stay with the owner

The owner was very kind. She gave me a coffee in the morning. The location is at 10 min with the tram from the Central station. Clean bathroom with bathtub.

Being on the water, the room had some mold on the walls. The room was below pontoon, so the windows weren't big. For the money I've payed, it's not worth it. The walls are thin, so you can hear everything.

Superb

Superb B&B experience! We were in Amsterdam for a 2 night stay and La Corte Sconta was perfect for what we were looking for: a homey place with easy accessibility to the city. We booked all 3 rooms as were travelling in a group so the arrangement of the shared bathroom and toilet suited us well. The beds were quite comfortable and each room had a mini breakfast bar with tea and coffee. We also got some great restaurant recommendations so all in all, great experience!

Due to the unique location there was some mold in one the rooms but the hosts addressed the issue as soon as it was pointed out.
