Guests loved the cozy cabin with easy access to town, beach, restaurants, and amenities. They appreciated the cleanliness, beautiful views, and overall pleasant stay.

I kind of panicked after reading 1 bad review but the location is amazing. Cabin is a bit tight, layout a bit strange and outlets are hard to come by, but all those things are an after thought once you are there a few hours. The view is amazing, beach next door is great and we never had an issue with noise or a crowd. Walk to town, walk across street to grocery store, and best of all is Hop Lot brewery across street.. Best biergarten in the country. Place was clean, had all the things you need. I caught some lake trout and grilled it while enjoying a beer looking out over the bay. Absolutely amazing location and place to stay.

Do not be deceived!! This is a shack! And even during the day it is so dark inside. But the worst part is how dirty it was. My daughter and I immediately got a headache and I started wheezing as soon as we entered the cabin. There is mold everywhere! It was clear they tried to mask it with glade but it did not work. This property is right next to a public park and beach. It is not private. It is not directly on the beach as pictured.

We enjoyed “our” cozy cabin in the beautiful fall!!
There is no place like Suttons Bay.
The cabin had everything we needed. Clean, nicely stocked with dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, coffee filters and firewood!!!
We’ll be back!!

Our cabin was exactly as pictured, but everything was more comfortable then we could have thought!
It is located at the best spot in Suttons Bay! Short walk to downtown, to the fun Hop Spot restaurant and other excellent restaurants , to the e-bike rentals in town, to the grocery store and laundromat!! And shopping? So much fun!!
The beach was my favorite. Just beautiful!
The ONLY problem is one that can not be fixed- the sound of the M 22 traffic. During the day, we didn’t really think about it. But at bedtime….we will bring earplugs next time!!! It does quiet done about 11:30pm-6:30am.
All being said, we will be back!!!!

perfect for my wife and I. Easy to communicate with! I do recommend an extra blanket in the cabin. I know I could have called but I did not. All good

The cottage was cute and cozy. My host was helpful and my time there was pleasant.
My only complain was the proximity to the highway and the loud truck traffic.

Great spot for a simple getaway.
Small but cozy, and it was within walking distance of town. Even with the rain, we still had a great time just hanging around the cabin or one of the local restaurants/pubs.

Loved the beach access and ease of doing either a private or community bonfire. Great communication leading up to stay.

Quiet rustic cottage close to beach and town
We had a great, relaxing weekend at this property. The cabin is in a great location, with a private beach, dock, and an incredibly short walk to town and to Hoplot Brewery. It's a charming and quaint little place, but is overall very rustic and definitely a little old. The place is clean, but there is some wear and tear, especially in the kitchen. Great value considering the cost of properties elsewhere in Sutton's Bay.

Time together
Property was as described. Clean and adorable with no frills. We had a nice gas grill and a fire pit for dinner and relaxing. Beautiful view of Bay while eating. Bike trails were across the road, we had a relaxing time.

Weekend stay
Just a long weekend get away. Cute little cabin. Love the fire in the beach. 45th parallel restaurant in town has great food and service! Across the street at Mundo... not so much. Definitely recommend these cabins!

Wonderful Stay
My family spent a week at the property and had a fabulous time. The location of the cabin is wonderful! We were close to the private beach, a public beach and a playground for the kids. It was just a few blocks to the downtown area and very close to the bike trail!! I would highly recommend this cabin!

Perfect Location
Great location close to town, next door to the park, and across from the brewery. You really can't beat that. Unique little cabin, it is small and kind of dark but it was fresh and clean, you aren't spending a lot of time indoors here anyway so it serves its purpose. I would stay here again for sure.

Suttons Bay Cabin
Great area to stay in Suttons Bay. Everything around can be made in a day trip adventure. Cabin was great! Just big enough for the 4 of us. Lake Michigan was just a few yards away from our front yard. Will definitely stay there again. We had a Great Time as always in Michigan. So Beautiful and love the summer temps and crisp clean air!

Perfect location
We had a great stay for the week at the Cedarwood cabin. It's an awesome location on the bay and perfect for families with small kids with the playground right on the beach, dead end street, and walking distance to downtown Suttons Bay. There were a few minor details that would have made our stay 5 stars. We were not aware that there wasn't an oven, no biggie, but we had bought some frozen pizzas for quick dinners. Also, having a set of grilling utensils, a doormat to brush off our shoes, and a broom to clear the patio of sand and debris would have been helpful. I would also have some higher wattage bulbs or better choices of lighting/lamps since its a dark wood interior. A funny detail that was a bit annoying, we had an excess of pillows. All the throw pillows looked nice when the bed and trundle were made up, but finding a home for them when the beds were in use just added to the clutter of all our luggage and belongings. Since its a quaint two room cottage, having 17 decorative pillows to move around was a bit much. Again, not a huge deal, but a little annoying having a stack of pillows taking up precious room. We travel a lot, so these were just some things I found to be lacking that would be easy fixes for future renters. All in all, we were very happy and we will definitely consider staying at these cottages next year!

Was an overall nice stay in a petite cabin for a week
We stayed in the 'Cedarwood'. Cabin was perfect for the two of us and our 1.5 year old.
Right next to a small public beach with a little play ground perfect for our daughter. Was quiet and shaded.
Only things I would have liked was a couple extra blankets and a change of sheets for the bed since we did stay just over a week.
The bed was nice and soft and the AC worked great and it has a nice tv.
The bathroom was great and I loved the vanity. Had a walk in shower, EXCEPT the shower curtain was to short and water leaked everywhere whenever you turned the water on and had to be cleaned up every time. Made for a fall hazard for the little one.
Other than the leaky shower and needing extra blankets it was absolutely great! I'd stay again for sure.

We were very disappointed.
While we certainly appreciated the owners flexibility to change our reservation dates (due to circumstances out of our control) and were grateful they allowed us to bring our 6 yr old goldendoodle, we were very disappointed with the rental. On the positive side, the bed was very comfortable and had very tasteful and clean linens and the bathroom remodel is cute. Also, it is a short walk from a small, private beach and to downtown Suttons Bay (which we greatly enjoyed).
When we arrived, we noticed there were burned out light bulbs and no propane in the tank for the grill (which we relied on to cook our meat since there isn't an oven). Despite repeated texts and a couple phone calls, it took 3 days before the propane and the light bulbs were delivered (apparently they were delivered to the wrong cabin 2 days after our initial request). The carpet was worn and appeared dirty (I wore flipflops the whole time), and a kitchen cupboard and drawer (which seemed to be original to the cottage) was very dirty (we washed the pots/pans and silverware before use). Outside of the cabin, the patio chairs had a lot of mildew on them (I wouldn't sit in them) and there was a considerable amount of broken glass alongside the back of the rental. The most troubling issue was that there was no smoke detector (there was a bracket on the wall where one may have been at some point). When I brought this to the attention of the owner, she instructed me not to use one of the heaters. What was even more troubling, is that no effort was made to provide a smoke detector during the remainder of our stay. A final frustration was that the rental was next to a busy road (which I understand is not something the owners can fix).
Neither my husband or I will rent from these owners again.

Cosy
The pictures represented the interior of the cabin exactly. I guess that 4 could sleep there, but it would be awfully cramped. The bedroom is a little to small for the bed. That being said, it was very plush and comfy. The literature describing the cottage said that there would be a bottle of sparkling wine awaiting our arrival, there was none. We were very disappointed as it had been a long drive to get there and we were looking forward to it. I e-mailed the operators of the property and they sent a bottle over the next day. I will say that the pictures of the outside lead me to believe that the cottage faced the water, instead they faced the city park that the property buts up to. We weren't to happy about that either. We definitely had a bad first impression, however we grew to really like the place. we would definitely stay there again

Cute cabin on the Bay!
My husband, daughter and I stayed at this cabin over the July 4th week and had a great time! The cabin was clean, decorated beautifully, and had a comfortable bed. We were surprised and happy to find chilled champagne and cookies waiting for us in the kitchen. Having a functional kitchen was nice (much better than staying in a hotel) and there was a grocery store across the road (very short walk). The cabin has both air conditioning and heat which is nice given you never know what to expect regarding Michigan weather.
The location of the cabin was excellent. It's right next to a small, uncrowded public park so there is a nearby playground if you are there with little kids. There is a nice beach area, although given how cold Lake Michigan is this year, we didn't spend much time in the water. We loved the view, though, and enjoyed sitting in the sun and relaxing. The walk to town is very short and we thought Sutton's Bay was absolutely charming. There are lots of small shops to explore, good places to eat (try 45th Parallel for breakfast or lunch, and don't miss the candy shop next door). There's an old fashioned movie theater in town and the park by the water is lovely. We took day trips to Traverse City, Fishtown (in Leland), and Northport to explore the area. There is lots to do in Northern Michigan in the summer and Sutton's Bay was a great spot to call home base for a week. This is a nice place to stay for a reasonable rate.
