Didn't stay, could have been a very different review.

The owner/operator made contact with us.

The fact that when we made contact ut was to advise that despite us booking well in advance, they chose to cancel our booking to accommodate MSD emergency housing. Pretty sad that they will dissatisfied and inconvenience a paying person for financial gain. Humanity and moral across the NZ hospitality sector has taken a major dip and considering the only time I've attended a large event in the capital of our country, they could not accommodate anywhere foe excess visitors to the city. Very disappointed at the moral to put someone prepared to pay and spend money in a community aside.

The motel met my expectations - a place that was reasonably cheap, friendly and comfortable.

It was good that there was no traffic noise at this location. And my booking was fairly last minute, so a relief that I was able to get a single room during a busy time for accommodation.

I had trouble finding the motel, because I don't have modern technology. After 5 hours' travel without incident, I had to spend ½ an hour looking for it. The TV couldn't be used, because the remote control's batterries were flat, and somebody had set the TV up to show only a small number of channels which didn't include what I wanted to watch.

Requires a room key return box As you have no where to leave room key We rang the phone number and were told to come back at check out time 1200pm I just left key in room as we had to leave at 0900am. Surely can install a room key box.

Never again! Don’t waste your money!

The reception woman was pleasant even though she was on the phone with her friend. The shower pressure was good.

The bed was uncomfortable. The facilities were very poor. The blinds weren’t wide enough to block out the glare of the streetlights. The bathroom smelled old, damp & musty. Only a couple of channels on the tv worked. I’ve stayed in many places up and down the country and this is by far the worst.

The manager was reluctant to store our luggage as our flight was later in the day. We had to negotiate a fixed time much earlier to pick it up - thus interferring with our agenda in Wellington.

Pleasant

The staff were very obliging and although the room was drab, the bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean.

The tv kept turning off because of the modem in the office. It has been let run down by previous owners.

A good overnight stay for some one going to the airport.

Good size room at a good rate. Only one minor issue the blind on the kitchen window was not a black out blind. The landing light showed through .Not a major problem.

Disappointed and let down

Location

Staff were never at the counter or available to come when we called. They tried to cancel our booking the day before and weren’t going to help us book elsewhere. There was also blood stains on one of the bedsheets. The location was not worth the money or stress and will not stay there when we come back next year.

Comfortable motel accommodation, rated budget though. Could be improved, more homely touches added.

Good location to shops and supermarkets, handy to the Airport and Wellington City. The kitchenette was nice and modern, clean and tidy. Car parks outside. Staff were very accommodating and friendly.

The TV wasn't working when arrived, no romote in the room. Some of the cookware in the kitchen was still dirty. Blinds were broken and mouldy, bathroom window had a crack on it. A few added touches like a bathroom fan, also one in the kitchen area would be a bonus. Also a curtain or blind that would block out the outside light, as this shone onto the beds. The front porch area could've done with a clean, sweep and little garden planter boxes shown abit more love. Hope this is helpful.

Disorganised experience

Comfortable bed

I booked my room online and then paid on arrival. Then they told me that the TV wasn't working. When I pointed out that this wasn't good service they didn't even offer me a discount. Very poor as this was advertised but not delivered. It also took a long time for them to attend to my arrival. I gave a time frame for arrival on booking and received a confirmation message, as it was after office hours. I arrived within the time frame stated and acknowledged but couldn't get any response from the office. I finally rang the mobile number given and told the lady who answered who I was and that I was here to check in. She still didn't turn up and I rang again after 5 mins. She then opened the office to check me in. She seemed surprised at my arrival and informed me that the family were out to dinner when I booked. Surely you should have some sort of alert to notify you when people book if you are going to have an online booking system? Not very efficient. Also had similar issues checking out! Overall not a great stay. The window whistled with wind coming in all night, no mirror anywhere and mildew all ingrained around the perimeter of the shower! Wouldn't recommend staying.
