Location was good. Secure car park.
Doesn't deserve a four star rating.

The rooms were very comfortable, clean and the location was great, easy walking to the board walk, cafes etc. very central.

Az elhelyezkedés
Penészes volt, dohos szag volt. Elviselhetetlen volt, amire azt a magyarázatot kaptuk, hogy mindenhol ilyen, esős évszak van, amit kétlek, ha szemmel látható a penész.

Location was good. Big refrigerator. Nice size room.
Warn and dated. Tv remote didn't work so no TV. Desk was not open late or early enough to ever talk to them and get batteries or ask questions. Shower was not clean. Floor was damaged in room and not repaired. Ac would not keep place at a comfortable temp and would shut off. Laundry facilities not in good shape.

It was fairly cheap for the location
The accommodation could have been cleaner, the bedding could have been changed without me asking, the garden area could have been tidy and the sliding door glass could have been clean
5.0 / 5.0
Location, room size and comfort, clean.
Lack of staff after hours. Dryer at my only coins and I was left with wet washing the evening before an early departure.
4.5 / 5.0
A good sized room for the studio apartment .
There could have been a up to date tourist brochure on what is happening in Cairns in the room . i would have liked to see a list of restaurants close by to Cascade Gardens . i did not want to walk the street alone at night time looking for somewhere to eat .

I liked the pool and the front desk people were efficient. The apartment is a generous size. The resident cat was a lovely presence.
The washing machine leaked. The place needs work as very dated. Having to remove own rubbish. Front desk staff not always available especially on the weekend and not particularly helpful. There are no elevators.

Great location. Clean n comfortable

The location was fantastic. Walking distance from Cairns CBD, but far enough away so it was quiet.
It was a bit weird that we had to empty our own bins at the end of the stay. A few pretty minor issues - hook missing from bathroom door, bathroom drawer broken, but generally very good. The balcony was pretty tiny - only room for one chair with the air con units. But we'd be happy to come back.

There was secure parking behind an electrically controlled pass coded sliding gate which was needed as street parking in the area seemed to be at a premium during the day. The one staff member I encountered was efficient and pleasant. The whole facility was neat and tidy. The Kitchen area in the room was new and well-appointed and modern. The flat screen TV was very good, it had YouTube which we enjoyed watching along with the regular TV programming.
The bathroom and shower were old and worn out reminding me of the 1980's style of dark brown bathroom tiles, the toilet was one full flush only which shows the age. There was mould on the shower tiles and ceiling which grew more during our stay. The bar light over the bathroom basin was missing the cover showing the exposed Fluro bulb. The floor matt in the lounge appeared to be a shag pile thing reminiscent of the 70's or 80's and worn out flat. The aged lounge also had an aged smell about it. The bed was uncomfortable, hard and seemed likewise old. Only one thin blanket was provided. The room lighting was poor and made the room dingy. The room was supposed to be a non-smoking room, but strangely enough smoking was allowed on the small balcony where even an ash tray was provided however there was a sign admonishing people not to throw their cigarette butts over the railing or be fined $120. This however made it possible for cigarette smoke to waft into our room from an adjacent balcony which forced us to close our balcony door at times. Someone was smoking something that smelled like a cigar in the next room that I could have sworn was coming through the cement block wall. I am sensitive to cigarette smoke, and it gives my wife migraines. The walls and curtains appeared marked either with age or actual dirt. I don't imagine that smoke or ash from a cigarette wouldn't waft backwards into the room from the open balcony and cause things to smell. There was no fly screen on the balcony door allowing bugs to fly in during the evening.

Good location. Easy walk to city centre.
The fan in the bedroom only went one speed. Couldn't adjust the speed. There was a bit of mould in the shower and on the bathroom ceiling. Couldn't find a switch to turn off the bathroom exhaust fan, which was noisy at night.

Room was nice and clean, very spacious, lovely little courtyard to sit and have your breakfast. There was very little noise from other residents staying at the motel. Location was excellent was able to walk to the esplanade and only a 10-minute walk to the harbour side restaurants. Staff were very friendly and very easy check-in process.
There was some noise from the planes but that of course is unavoidable.

Good location, easy walk to the Esplanade and food places as well as the reef fleet for Snorkeling/dive tours. Balcony in the apartment was small but perfect for drying clothes/towels etc after swimming. Pool was a perfect temperature and lovely to spend an afternoon chilling. After hours check in was easy
Needs a bit of TLC, no lift in the property, it’s only two flights of stairs but carrying the bags on my own was a little difficult.

- My studio was large and nicely decorated
- Comfy bed and clean linen
- Nice sofa and TV
- Kitchen had all utensils needed and complimentary tea and coffee
- Good sized bathroom
- Good Wi-Fi
- Great AC
- Balcony area was nice, albeit very small
- Laundry facilities on site
- The man on reception was very friendly and helpful
- Hostel cat!
- Nice pool area
- The listing states complimentary toiletries but all I received was soap. The man on reception said they’ve stopped providing them - listing needs updating. I was relying on the conditioner after a long day trip on my first night haha
- The lady on reception wasn’t too friendly on the one occasion I spoke to her, which was a shame
- AC only goes as cold as 24 degrees, which wasn’t enough sometimes
- There we’re lots of tiny flies on the windows inside the room
- Clothes dryer was broken and not usable
- Hairdryer nozzle was also broken and not usable

A full size fridge was really the only downfall.

Fines for not washing/drying/putting dishes away? $55 fine for not taking trash out upon departure? Huh?

Friendly staff and comfort of the room.
We were given a room on the 2nd floor, and didn’t know there were no lifts. We are aged pensioners and had to take our quite heavy suitcases up the flights of stairs.
