Großes Apartment, nicht weit vom Zentrum

Das Apartment war groß und die Küche gut ausgestattet. Der Pool war klasse. Die Lage war in Ordnung-ca. 12 min zur Innenstadt. Parkplatz kostenfrei direkt an der Unterkunft. Supermarkt und Bäcker in Gehreichweite. Betten waren i.O. und es war nicht laut. Fernsehen mit Netflix.

Nicht wirklich sauber, aber ok. Kakerlaken kommen dort überall vor. Ist ein klassisches 3 Sterne Hotel. Standard also ok.

Good affordable accommodation and nice pool.

Nice pool and facilities.

The light on the balcony stayed on ALL NIGHT and was unable to be switched off. We were expecting the light to be turned off say 9 or 10pm but instead the whole complex was lit up like a Christmas tree, thus making sleeping difficult. I would recommend the light be switched / able to be turned off by guests or on timer to turn off after 10pm. This would affect our choice as to whether to return or not.

Disappointing.

Location

Cockroaches in room, cobwebs under vanity, mould on exposed vanity pipes, blocked shower drain which I fixed, air conditioning was not cooling upon inspection found filters covered with an inch of dust, fine after washing. Damp towel on floor showed residual dirt not cleaned off by cleaners. Another guest was parting on balcony at 3am.

Extreem slechte prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Zeker niet drie sterren waardig en meer een motel ipv een hotel. Zeer gehorig, als de buren gingen douchen leek het alsof iemand direct naast ons bed stond te douchen. Het geld zeker niet waard. Gelukkig waren we er maar voor 1 nacht, maar wat een verschrikking als je hier vakantie hoopte te vieren.

Thieves and liars

I left a speaker and ear buds there and when I return to stay a week later I asked reception staff about them they said they were here and couldn’t find them I will not be coming back they showed no concerns or no compensation for items of mine that they had and obviously stolen

That they are criminals

Would not stay again ever, would not recommend, photos are misleading, way overpriced

Not clean, felt unsafe as a solo female traveller. Dodgey door locks, property not secure- people can just walk in off the street and the neighbourhood felt dodgey too

Awful waste of time and money.

The staff were friendly and nice and the room was large.

A homeless man outside with a trolley with his belonging in, who then started sawing some wood. There were a few people they who didn’t look the friendliest. The door looked like it had been broken into a few times. We felt unsafe and decided to leave short after getting into the hotel. Also the room and bathroom were quite dirty with dust and grime.

The staff were rude. The room was disgusting with mould and stained furniture. The bed has as hard as concrete. The shower taps wouldn’t turn off completely so it dribbled all night. The sliding door did not lock properly so they had installed a chain but it could be easily lifted off the hook from the outside. The area did not feel safe. I encountered several instances of people fighting in the street and being abusive on just the one night I stayed.

Great welcoming and perfect location between the airport and main town

Great layout, good facilities even though we didn’t use them

The walkways around the room get very dirty with the rain and there is no way to avoid bringing that dirt into the room

Nice stay at Tropiq

Well located, large room with nice bed and separate bathroom. Air conditioning works well in combination with the fan. Missing the window that was in the bathroom. Room was clean. Plenty of space for storage. Parking spot for free in front of apartment. Nice guys at reception.

We have little ants that get into our food. There was a spray for insects. So we could deal with them. We have to keep the door to the amphitheatre closed. Curtain must be closed to avoid being seen from outside.

Overall surprised but it's not for me

Look it's hard to rate this place but I will say it's one of the cleanest places I ever stayed. Its old and run down. Its dated but its clean. well, it's very clean even the AC unit was clean!

Too noisy, other guest having phone conversations at 1130 pm on the patio at the top of their voices followed by other guest at 4am and well you're in the direct path of the airport. Being from the bush it was a very loud experience.

It was a pleasant stay and overall I would stay again.

The bed was comfortable and it was a reasonable distance to get into the centre of cairns.

The TV didn’t work properly - smart tv but none of the apps would load as it couldn’t connect to the internet. The bathroom floor would be soaked after a shower

It was a nice accommodation. The restaurant facility should be functional

Facilities like tea coffee , microwave , water heating kettle, A/C were present along with iron etc. it was nice arrangement as per the cost.

The restaurant was not functional. I had to order food from outside.

Location was okay. About a 5minute walk to esplanade and then another 15 or so to main tourist area.

Price was okay, we had a nice garden view.

Room was very dated. No fan or ventilation in bathroom other than a 2x6” window opening. Only one plug outlet and one very harsh bright ceiling light. Sliding door barely worked.

On aurait cru un motel

Pas de petit déjeuner possible dans l'hôtel, chambre sale, équipements insalubres, loin du centre ville, la piscine indiquée sur le site n'en est pas une, c'est plutôt un bac à poissons.

Well located for our visit because we were able to walk to eateries, shops, promenade and tour boat

Even though we stayed in a basic room it covered all our requirements. All features in room were clean, we had taken a power board so the fact there was only one power point it didn't affect us but would have been an issue if we hadn't taken one, Microwave and fridge very useful and the pool was in good condition and great to come back to after a day out.

I didn’t enjoy any aspect of this motel

I asked for a ground floor room which I didn’t receive, which I eventually had to ask for...Out of the reception staff only the blonde lady was attentive the other lady and male staff didn’t seem interested Hott

Our 4 night stay was satisfactory but not what we expected.

Good WiFi and TV reception Having access to a laundry Pool area and central garden

Limited parking - we were on the street and entered via a pedestrian gate at the rear Bathroom needs some updating No restaurants close by Energy worksite across street started early

Tropiq met our needs for the four days we spent in Cairns. We found it to be basic, but comfortable , especially the bed

The property was close enough to walk to the places we want to go or leave from.

It is a little “old style “ and tired. It’s not set up for much self catering eg no table and chairs.
