The Genie House is a fully self-contained, reverse cycle air-conditioned guesthouse with free Wifi, Netflix & Stan within a 10 minute stroll to town centre, cafes & shops. Complimentary bottle of bubbles & fresh flowers on arrival. Quiet neighbourhood. Chilled atmosphere. Bay Grocer Convenience Store/deli within 50 metres of the Genie House - coffee & takeaways plus fresh fruit & vegetables. Our new local Jonson Lane precinct now offers a Vietnamese/Asian restaurant (Light Years), Italian restaurant (Pixie) & the Heather Bar all with a 5 minute walk.
The Genie House follows HomeAway & government cleaning guidelines. Hand sanitiser & surface spray are provided as well.
The Genie House offers 3 bedrooms, all with reverse cycle air-conditioning - 2 queen beds / 2 king singles. The queen rooms have french doors opening onto a north-facing deck to catch the summer breezes. All bedrooms are furbished with white linen and towels. Cleaning is to a high standard & alcohol-based hand gel & surface spray is available.
You are welcome to use the wood fireplace in winter - first load of wood is complimentary. The sun-drenched atrium/dining area with bi-fold windows is a great place to enjoy meals or curl up on the daybed with a good book.
The Genie House does supply a highchair. Cots or bassinets (including linen) can be hired from Byron Bay Holiday Hire. The hire company will deliver and collect.
Features include polished timber floors throughout with rugs in main living areas / small laptop desk & lamp / reading chair with overhead lamp / open plan air-conditioned living area / air-conditioning & ceiling fans in all bedrooms / Webber BBQ / 55” TV in lounge / All 3 bedrooms have TV / Free Netflix, Stan & Wifi / beach umbrella & hot outdoor shower in rainforest garden setting. Your hosts live in a house attached to the rear of the guesthouse that is separated by a 1.8 metre high private fence and has separate rear entry. The guesthouse has access to the front yard only. Your hosts are at hand if you have any problems or enquiries, however your privacy is respected at all times.
Please inform your hosts if you intend bringing your dog/s [limit 2 dogs only please]. House trained dogs are most welcome [Quiet dogs only - Please no incessant barkers]. The front yard is grassed, secure and fully fenced [fence height is 1.2 metres]. Your dog is welcome to sleep inside during the day and night. Please lock your dog in the house when you are not at home, especially if your dog tends to bark when left alone. Please bring your own pet bedding. Pet feeding bowls are supplied. A much needed relaxing getaway from our busy professional daily lifestyles.
An enormous recommendation for Genie House, was everything, plus more - spacious, well appointed with all amenities, cosy and warm with the wood fire, comfy sofas and beds, easy to use kitchen and laundry.
Our third trip back to Byron and Genie House is the best, also perfect location.
Wonderful hosts. Big thanks to owners Jeannie and Jim.

Our family of 5 plus a dog had a wonderful stay at the house. House has a wonderful vibes and is very close proximity to shops, restaurants and the beach. Everything in the house is provided for the convenience for the stay. The store few meters from the house had great selection of fresh breads and produce as well. We will be back!!!

Perfect stay for our family visiting Byron Bay for the first time. Grocer basically across the road and restaurants within walking distance.
We were traveling with 2 kids and small dog - I would love to come back and spend longer at this property. House was well equipped including beach towels and very clean.

We loved our stay at Genie House. The place was big enough for our extended family group with lots of decks and places to chill out in. The dining table room was amazing. It was an easy 10 minute walk to Byron shops, across the road from the Bay Grocer and a short walk to The General Store for morning coffee. It felt like a home, with lots of cosy touches. Only issue was only having one bathroom, but it was very clean.

Lovely house with all the amenities you need. Fab for our doggo. He loved it. Close to town & the beach not too far away. We drove to the beach and parked near by which was easy. You can walk though but it was super hot and we carry a lot to the beach. Dog beach a short drive away in Bellongil.
Its close to Byron so there is some noise but not too bad.

Clean Lovely House
Lovely house with all the amenities you need. Fab for our doggo. He loved it. Close to town & the beach not too far away. We drove to the beach and parked near by which was easy. You can walk though but it was super hot and we carry a lot to the beach. Dog beach a short drive away in Bellongil.
Its close to Byron so there is some noise but not too bad.
Very lovely home. Very Clean too.

Thank you Jeannie for a fantastic stay at Byron Bay. The house was better than we could have imagined with lovely large windows, books, games, a covered verandah for our pets and a lovely yard. The perfect walk into town and the beach and opposite a great grocery with the best coffee.
We didn't care it rained all the time, we were all content in our holiday retreat.

Awesome Set Up / Great Hosts / Dogs and people friendly to the MAX
The Genie House is just what we needed for ourselves our guests and our dogs it was close enough to Byron Bay Town Centre but also far enough away to get away from the hustle and bustle. The dogs loved it and so did we. We will defiantly be back soon. Thanks so much for a most awesome place to stay. Cheers Us
