Very spacious rooms, with comfortable beds and large bathrooms.

Choice was OK. I understand dogs are not allowed in the breakfast room?

Breakfast was delicious. Buffet style which is our preference.
Really friendly staff in dining room. Background music was most enjoyable.
The hotel is very shabby looking, the carpet on stairs is worn and reaving up in parts.
Some of the walls in corridors are stained.
There is no lift, definitely wouldn't recommend if you have poor mobility.
We stayed in a double room, it was so dated, brown and beige walls with thick covering of dust on skirting boards.
The bed creaked, the mattress was bloody uncomfortable. No extra pillows provided.
We had a ensuite bathroom, the wall had a stain about 12 inches in length. Over bath shower that leaked through the hose more than the shower head. Bath panel was lose and covered with dust.
We had very little sleep that night due to the poor mattress.

Great value for double room, single occupancy B&B.
Staff were considerate and welcoming without being intrusive.
Sitting by the river.
Staircase carpet in need of replacing - 1st impressions count.
X3 double rooms booked, each varied considerably in size, moderniastion and decor.
Hotel must be in the process of rejuvenating itself. But no evidence of this while i was there.

Breakfast was ok. Bathroom decent size with mini toiletries. Room good size.
Wasn’t very clean at all. Very old and run down. For the price we paid, was not good. They knew we were going to a wedding but never actually told us how to get back in at night. Walking around the hotel with all the doors bolted and was only 10pm! Found out afterwards that after 11pm they lock the doors and you scan the room key to get in but never informed of this and we were back earlier than 11pm. Corridors and hotel smelt damp/off too!

Fab location, great stay will definitely again.
Bedroom pillows need to be replaced, they were very flat and lifeless.

Location. Price wasn’t bad and breakfast was nice.
Shower wasn’t hot or powerful at all. Give up in the end. Surrounding noisy too. Floorboards on corridor we’re loud and next door had a problem with there door closing so every time the entered and exit their room they had to really slam the door to make sure door closed. Just wasn’t ideal

Breakfast was good. Bathroom was modern.
Whole place is very dated, looks tired and in need of renovation.Mould in shower tray on sealant.

Comfortable bed and very clean room. Location perfect for getting into Betws Y Coed. Good that car parking is free!
It was very noisy until quite late and with an early start for me, this wasn't ideal.
Also, breakfast at 8am was too late so I went without and made my own porridge sachet. I went down earlier to see if I could maybe grab something continental style but nobody was around.

Beautiful old building.
Very tired decor and rooms. In need of refurbishing and a good clean. Felt a bit awkward staying there.

Stayed overnight for day hike nearby so location was perfect for me. Also good amenities and facilities at the hotel. Tea and coffee in the room helped after a long drive getting to the hotel. The room was cosy and despite it being a weekend there want any internal noise
Nothing that I can remember specific to the property however there were youngsters out for the weekend night that I could hear deep into the night

Really friendly. Great location.felt really atmospheric. The food was great :)
The bed wasn't the most comfortable and you could hear some traffic noise but it was professionally ran and the location more than makes up for any short falls
9.0
excellent breakfast.
single rooms are generally pretty small, and that's fine. I've never seen such a small shower though, and it was feeble. However, not a big problem, and the value for money ratio was excellent.
