The only thing that I like is the pillow and bed are quite comfy.
The location is not really close to the central of parramatta. It is about 20 minutes walk.
In front of the hotel there is a shopping village with few junk food outlet.
The hotel itself is very old, dirty and lack of maintenance.
The staff need to have more training in customer service.
The housekeeping staff need more training on how to clean specially in the shower with the mould, dust and mirror.

Location was convenient for us.
Rooms were very average. Bathroom was mouldy and dirty. Rooms were nowhere near as nice as the photos were when we booked.

Closeness to everything
Property is in need of desperate upgrade

I loved everything about this accommodation. It was comfortable. Club next door. Walking distance to shops. Friendly helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Clean and spacious room. Undercover carpark.

Breakfast great but very crowded. had to sit at the bar outside the dining room on the second morning.
Bathroom was looking a bit tired - toilet seat wasn't fixed in place. Hallway carpet on 5th floor weirdly lumpy.

Comfortable bed
Wasn’t clean found rubbish under the bed, rude staff. Waited 2 hours for the cot to be bought to our room had to go ask for more towels

Accessibility to public transport and location. Nice and quiet place
The carpet looked like worn out and appeared old/messy.

The staff were amazing and the pool was great
The room was falling apart - cornice dangling from roof, holes in carpet and walls. The location was out of the way and a bit dingy.

Mercury Sydney is in the perfect location, exceptional service and friendly staff that were more than happy to help if needed it. Michelle kept up with the cleaning of our room, fresh sheets, and fresh towels each day. Thank you, Michelle.
I have nothing to complain about. Was a great stay. We definitely will be back if we end up in Sydney again.

The newly renovated rooms are nice
We had an incident with the room where originally I was put into the wrong room, then they moved me to another room that smelt terribly and I did not want to stay so got moved back to original room with an extra roll away bed which was fine. But at 11.45pm 2 strangers walked into my room where my children and I were sleeping. These people walked right into the room talking very loudly and had all lights switched on. The next day the staff apologised but did not seem to care at all. VERY DISAPPOINTING

Great position to racecourse + easy walk to 'eat street' where all the restaurants are. Morning breakfast was a little hap/hazard
Morning breakfast was a little hap/hazard + the wait staff serving the breakfast was very sloppy in attire and the breakfast wasn't replenished

Didn’t have breakfast. The room was good for a quiet getaway. Right next to the racecourse for the Sydney Cup & St Patrick’s day weekend. Was perfect.
We had to look for milk, tea & toilet paper replenishments.

had a great breakfast and they fed the kids for free which is always a help. counter staff jolly and nice to talk to. we had just come back from the easter show and my credit card was basically dead in the water after all the money pulled out by the show. anyway we were dead tired and happy to relax in the Mercure. they even gave me a late check out which was so welcome . thank you Mercure. some people come to a hotel expecting to see a view of the Sydney opera house or herds of wild hilder beasts go sweeping by. well we are just ordinary folk except for the fact we are rich. and are happy the way it is. cheers
well thats a hard question. Elton John was not there to play a song for me on the piano. A marching band to greet me would have been good.I am of course making a joke

The restaurant was lovely. Overall, the room was decent. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The first couple of days, there was no hot water in the shower and the water pressure was too low. There were no streaming services on the TV, which I think is a must these days. The key cards didn't work very well.

The staff were amazing and went out of their way to help us. The location was good for what we needed to be in town for and with a supermarket and food options right across the road it was perfect for us.
