Disappointing and not as advertised

The location and staff were friendly

It wasn’t as advertised. The room was extremely tight, we had to move the bed to pull the chair out to sit at the dressing table. The lighting was very poor. The window was extremely drafty. The room we booked was a twin but it just wasn’t big enough to take two single beds, they were pushed right up to each other so may as well have been a double which is not what we wanted.

Enjoyed the location but found the room small with no window

Great location in centre of town and near to train station and Westgate shopping centre, nice bathroom with good shower

Clean, comfortable and great location.

Great central location and easy to get there on foot from the train station. The rooms were clean, luxurious bed linen and had all the amenities like and iron, ironing board, full tea and coffee making.

There was no restaurant or bar. The entry was just a door off the street so not very welcoming. The price was comparable to other hotels with better services.

Amazing stay

The hotel was clean, room was spacious, and bed was comfortable. Friendly staff, and very helpful. We enjoyed the filter coffee provided (delicious), along with amazing cookies! It is a nice small local hotel, different from the normal, with a nice Asian style decoration (Chinese or Thai, I suppose, but not sure). I definitely suggest it!

Great place to stay in Oxford. Perfect in many ways

Location, good air conditioning, staff gave us a lamp when built in beside light would not be fixed during our stay, lovely terrace

I'd definitely book again!

The location was perfect. I loved the stone work, chandelier and staircase. The bed was really comfy.

Our room (301?) was a bit small and awkwardly laid out. I'd remove some of the furniture.

I felt like it was top end on price - examples of things I felt were missing for this price point were: dressing gowns & the hotel has air con but no fans which I asked for.

Wonderful night away in a relaxed hotel

Staff were lovely and friendly. Rooms clean and well decorated. Great central location. Nice to have water and glasses to use in room,

No breakfast , but a lovely brunch bar next door we ate it.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! I stayed for 1 night and less than 6 hours, forgot a brand new sweater there and it magically disappeared. I called and like to their reception staff EIGHT times as they said they couldn’t find it… and on the eighth time the receptionist said he did. We confirmed it was mine as it was a very specific and special one. But when I sent someone to pick it up, it was back to the same story of they couldn’t find it. BUYER BEWARE!!! It’s not a reputable hotel!!!

Comfortable stay in a great location!

Location was fabulous and staff really friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and the shower was great - complimentary L’occitane products were a nice treat!

Room did feel a little small - would have been nice to have a dressing table / area to do make-up and there were no coat hooks.

Disappointed not what I was expecting

The location was good, close to shops and restaurants.

The hotel room was nothing like it looked like on the website. The room was small, and the dark carpets made it seem even smaller. The room smelled of cigarettes and overall just didn’t have a very nice feel to it.

superb hotel located in the centre of Oxford city centre and staff are very helpful and kind

There is a saying in Ireland called “Cead Mile Failte “ which means “a thousand welcomes to you “ and Sanj and his team were vey helpful and welcoming and gave great advice on places to go to eat and do in Oxford . I cannot speak higher of how kind and helpful the staff are here .

Disappointed

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and hotel is in central location. Beds comfortable.

The rooms are very small and ours had limited natural light - some rooms have no natural light. Impossible to shave unless leave water running because pop up waste, but when pressed down did not seal basin allowing water to run away. Shaving mirror light also did not work . Given size if room, the price per night is extremely high. The website does not accurately reflect the actuality of many of the rooms

disappointing to say the least

very clean, great shower very pleasant staff

Room was very cold Light was broken Shaving point in bathroom didn’t work Bed was barely a double Extremely noisy could hear everything from other people sneezing in rooms and the obvious noise outside DRAMATICALLY OVERPRICED!!!!!! Stayed in better hostel quite frankly and it should be fortunate to get 3⭐️ let alone 5⭐️
