The breakfast restaurant at the hotel is good.
The rates are quite high for the level of accommodation. Nothing wow. The location is beautiful.

Very nice property, good price, comfy beds.
There was a marriage so the room was not as quiet as it could

Wunderschöne und zentrale Lage. Urige Häuschen zum verweilen.

Very idyllic cottages located in the middle of the vineyard with great views. Nevertheless, it is possible to walk to the center of Franschhoek in about 15 minutes.
Perfect equipment - everything has been thought of. We enjoyed it very much and will be happy to come back.

The cottages were well equipped for self-catering, and had a nice fireplace with lots of wood. The curtains and upholstery were nice.
We stayed in the forest cottage. We had stayed there 5 years ago and really enjoyed it. The price point then was below R2000 so the cottage lived up to the expectation of the price point. This time, however, the rate was over R3000 and the cottage was the same but 5 years older, and felt a bit run down. It did not live up the the expectation of the luxury price point. The bathroom shower drain was clogged so it flooded and there was a bare light bulb in the bathroom and some loose power outlets. Not something you would expect at the price. It felt a bit cheap for the price, and was a bit of a disappointment as we could have stayed somewhere else for the same experience at a better rate.

What a beautiful, magnificent, dreamy setting. Everything about La Cotte is absolutely stunning. It’s a wonderful stay with children. The forest cottages were stunning & so cozy.
There should be signage directing to the main gate as two different maps take you to the gate that is not in use.
If you’re staying in the forest cottages, just note the upstairs gets very light early, as there aren’t curtains on all the windows.
We had breakfast at the hotel, but there were no other options for protein other than pork.

Beautiful view from the cottages and a lovely swimming pool. We loved the fireplace which totally warms up the whole cottage for the night. Thoughtfully kitted kitchen. Lovely pure cotton linen and blankets.
Not an easily accessible space for persons in wheelchairs - we struggled to get to the front door and also had to move a few chairs around to move easily within the house.

It was a lovely location and very close to the town which is ideal.
Lovely pool area
Reception were very helpful with advice and arranging taxis.
When someone is upstairs in the cottage it is quite noisy but not enough to put you off.

A great spot to relax and we always go back.
The weber by the 2 bedroomed houses (no private braai area) is a struggle out in the open with the strong wind. The wind picks up heavily after 1pm on the farm.

We booked out three of the cottages for myself, friends and family who were visiting South Africa for my wedding. I have stayed here twice before, and we have loved our stay here every time. The cottages are beautiful, perfectly equipped, and have the most beautiful grounds and pool area. A very easy check in, and the only sad part was having to leave. We can’t wait to come back again!
It was a shame they closed the bottom gate as this used to provide a very quick walk into town. It would be great if this could be reopened in the future.

We loved our stay. Excellent location and the cottages are lovely.
The pool is a hazard for your children. Very slippery all around the outside. Our 4-year old slipped and nearly knocked his teeth out.

The most serene and beautiful getaway.

The moment we pulled up to the cottages, we knew we were in for a treat! The facilities were impeccably decorated and as clean as a whistle, from the kitchen equipment to the furniture, everything was considered. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the amenities were luxurious and the setting was just breathtaking!
Absolutely nothing!

Amazing location with stunning views all around. Beautiful and comfy cottages. Great restaurant.
We had a very bad experience with the staff as soon as we checked in. The guy at the reception gave us a key to the wrong cottage and it led to a lot of confusion. Instead of owning his mistake he blamed us for it and called me a liar! Also, when we checked out, we were told our balance was zero. Then I got a phone call telling me we actually owned R500 for a breakfast and the staff literally HARASSED me all day to get payment. Really terrible experience with the staff which unfortunately leaves a bit of a bitter taste to this stay.

The atmosphere is very nice. Right in the middle of the winelands with so much greenery around you is relaxing. The pool area is great!
