Fabulous - definitely recommend to anyone who wants that extra special treatment.

Spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished rooms. Friendly, helpful staff- Courtney and her team were superb! Fabulous breakfast and lots of extra special touches to make our stay so comfortable. Brilliant location, only a few minutes walk from Wine Tram and town centre.

A wonderful place to stay- I would highly recommend it!

A beautiful place to stay, very clean and a very comfortable bed. Our room and bathroom were very spacious .We enjoyed an excellent breakfast. The staff were friendly and the host was very welcoming and even booked a restaurant for us the first evening. Security was also very good. It was located close to the Wine tram - only a short walk.

Superlocatie , goede prijs kwaliteit. Aanrader . Ook vlakbij vertrek wine tram !

Ongelofelijke ontvangst, we waren te vroeg maar geen probleem om ineens onze kamers te krijgen . Het zwembad was juist aan onze kamers . Het was gewoon perfect .

Het klaarmaken van ontbijt duurde wel lang .

Nice boutique hotel!

It was a lovely small boutique hotel. Very clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was also good with a varied selection. Cindy and Courtney were extremely helpful! They provided us with tips for visiting the vineyards and restaurants in the area. It was in walking diatance from the main road with good restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay again!

There was a problem with the hot water the first day, but this was rectified immediately, and a complimentary bottle of red wine was provided, which was a nice gesture. Issue with AC unit, so at times it was very cold in the room.

Super nice place to stay and would return in the future

The staff were exceptionally friendly. Rooms are beautifully decorated and super clean. Well maintained and beautiful bathrooms for ample amenities. Refreshments, snacks and food available throughout the day. Zero load shedding impact as they have solar woth batteries I would highly recommend this guest house.

Lovely location, good service, nice room, but needs better heating for South African winter

Breakfast was good but breakfast room cold

Lack of adequate heating in bedroom, bathroom, breakfast room and lounge. In July it is cold in this location except mid morning to sundown

Hidden gem with homestay feel. Exceed our expectations.

Value for money. Good heating. Best stay we had during our 2 weeks in South Africa. Nice neighbourhood with 4 mins drive to nearby eateries. Good breakfast too.

Great stay at Ashbourne House

Tim and his team were great and looked after us while we stayed at Ashbourne House - German efficiency at its best...😃. Cindy was also excellent and made us feel welcome from the time we got there. Our room was cosy, clean and neat. We can certainly recommend Ashbourne House.

Stayed here to do the wine tram tour. Great location. The room was spacious and very clean. The owner was very nice and helpful in answering all questions, making us feel welcome and recommending a great dinner location.

Perfect bed and breakfast for your stay in Franschhoek.

Beautiful, cosy and charming bed and breakfast! Host was incredibly hospitable, absolutely faultless. Complimentary breakfast was delightful, accommodation was cute, pool was a lovely place to hang out and location was perfect / close to the little main strip of restaurants.

Wonderful stay at Ashbourne House - as always!

It is always a pleasure staying at Ashbourne House. The rooms are wonderfully comfortable, the breakfasts - oh my goodness! But it is the personal touch that Tim and Nadine bring that makes all the difference.

Everything was excellent & a lovely room, pool & breakfast

The guest house is beautiful & Tim, Nadine & Cindy very helpful & friendly. The big advantage for Ashbourne House are the solar panels, therefore no load shedding at all. We are regular visitors to Franschhoek & will definitely stay there again.

2nd stay of 4 nights duration, 7 years apart; if anything, better this time (2023) than last, and fully expect to visit

Very well presented, very friendly hosts, very efficient and friendly staff, lovely breakfasts, lovely pool with loungers, very good WiFi (load shed protected!), very quietly and well located within easy walking distance of Franschhoek centre.
