Had an incredibly memorable stay here with Henry & Mariluz. They will welcome you in their home with arms wide open and treat you like family. They are some of the nicest & kindest people I've ever met. It was so incredible learning about life on the island from them and eating amazing homemade meals by Mariluz. They took the time to pick us up at the port, walk us back and help us get on the boat, talk with us for hours at dinner and they even pulled out their telescope for us, so that we could see the full moon as well as some handmade traditional clothing that we could try on.
Aside from their incredible hospitality, the rooms are nicely decorated & clean, and the property is in a great location, quite close to the ceremonial centers which we went to twice. Amantani is a really special place that was soooo fun to explore. We walked the entire island and absolutely loved how peaceful it was. It's an experience I highly recommend, and hold dear to me. Choose this place with these people and you won't regret it. The gratitude they express for staying with them is so touching and you will fall in love with the island & with
them.

Comfortable lodgings, really lovely family cooked for us through our stay and helped us when we couldn't get access to a cashpoint. Bedroom was comfortable and peaceful. Great views over lake Titicaca. Would highly recommend if your looking for an authentic experience.
No payment card facilities on the island.

Henry and Mariluz are amazing hosts. Their house is very confortable with a nice view of the lake. The food is delicious and is cooked by the family using vegetables harvested from their own garden.
On June is the best time of the year to see the stars and the Milky Way. The view is marvellous!!
If you arrive by your own, ask for the guest house of Henry at the Inkatiana comunity because google maps does not work in the island. Also is good to know that the ferries to the island depart once a day at 7:30am from Puno's main port.

I can't recommend this stay more highly! Just a wonderful family and stay. We had some issues with our transport and Henri & Mariluz were quick to send one of their sons to pick us up. We so enjoyed chatting with everyone in the family and eating Mariluz's delicious cooking. The property itself is just beautiful. And despite the cold temps at night, they kept us cozy with lots of warm blankets and hot water bottles for our feet.
Really nothing, you should stay here!

Henry & Marylise we’re excellent hosts and we communicated via google translate. Food was good and the room had a lovely view. You need to be reasonably fit just to get to the lodgings. We appreciated having our private bathroom. We were not cold. The double room with lunch, dinner, breakfast and hot water was 229 soles. Henry showed us the start of a short cut up the mountain so we were completely alone when we went to the two sites. Unlike Taquile, the people here are friendly and smiling. It was an interesting glimpse at a disappearing way of life as the young people on the islands move to the city.
Heating would have been nice, but that is something which is not available on the island at the current time.

Best 5 days in Peru!!! (and maybe in our lifes). This accommodation is a hidden gem. If you could spend your holiday only in one place, choose this one! I can't describe in words how great it was. Amantani is the most beautiful island where you find peace, magic, ease, traditions, beautiful views, many sheep, simple farm life full of kindness and nice people, the most wonderful view of the stars and 2 stunning mountains hidden in the middle of island. We found here more spiritual experiences and energy than on Machu Picchu. There are no cars or dogs on the island, only the calm wind smelling after muña.
The accommodation is family type with incredibly nice couple Henry & Maryluz. Every day we spend really nice time together during the meal (organic, only from ingredients from the island) they prepared for us. It was the best meal which we had the opportunity to taste in Peru. Mary's cuisine is simple but better than some Michelin-starred restaurant. Henry and Maryluz is really kind people, they cared for us with love and friendship. We spent a great Easter tradition together and we had a great time all the time. Don't make the mistake like most travelers and set aside more time for Amantani. You will not regret it and you will agree with us that this is the best decision ever.

Henry and Mariluz are VERY friendly! They are so warm and amazing people. The room is very comfortable, nice warm blankets and you get a warm bottle at night to warm your feet in bed. The food is delicious, Mariluz makes sure you will be very full. The garden and view are beautiful! Amazing place to stay and to experience the local culture. Henry took a walk with us over the whole island. If you want a real local experience, go to the Amantani lodge!
The communication in the beginning wasn't totally clear. We would be picked up at the harbor of Chifron. The boat and Henry were there, but we had to wait 3 hours for the captain to arrive so we could go. This was a bit long for us...

From the moment we booked Henry was really helpful, from letting us know which boat to catch to collecting us from the port and walking us to the Lodge.
We had lovely food cooked for us and were made to feel welcome and at home. Even though our Spanish is very basic we still had the opportunity to talk to them and learn about the island and their culture and family. Henry even walked with us for a while to show us how to get to the amazing viewpoints.
The room was really nice with fresh flowers and a great view over the lake, and we got hot water bottles at night :)
We enjoyed sitting outside on the balcony reading our books in the evening.
Would definitely recommend instead of doing a tour.
Also had a hot shower!!

The room was clean, there was hot water. Henry picked me up at the main port of the island and helped me walk up. He even joined me to visit the ruins. They were so friendly and it was a great experience in the life of locals and the family is really sweet. It’s so quiet and peaceful. His wife Mariluz walked me to the main port the next day. Muchas gracias Henry and Mariluz para todo y hasta el próximo. Un abrazo
