This lovely Cozy Cabin nestled in Kachina, 7 miles from Flagstaff, is comfortable and inviting. High beamed ceilings and knotty pine walls welcome you into this 1200 SF accommodating retreat. 2 roomy bedrooms, with there own baths and outdoor deck offer privacy and relaxation. Comfy down pillows and comforters welcome you. Unwind beside the crackling wood burning stove. Our kitchen is fully equipped, and the antique table will seat 6. This cabin sits at the end of a cul-de-sac tucked into the pines with a seasonal stream running across the back of the property. The grounds are a gorgeous 1/2 acre with 30+ pine trees. Tulips, lilac bushes and flowers galore bloom in spring and summer. You'll enjoy feeding the blue jays and squirrels from the deck. Winter months offer sledding right here in the neighborhood, just blocks from the home. You can also sled in the driveway, or drive to the Snowbowl for skiing and snowboarding. The cabin was in perfect condition, very clean and comfortable. We were able to unwind and relax, enjoy coffee each morning on the patio, do some hiking, watch alot of movies, cook some wonderful meals and just enjoy the company of my mom and 2 sisters. We would stay here again for sure if the opportunity arises!

This cabin was the perfect place for me and my two children. The kitchen was perfect and everything one could ask for. The wood floors and decor were lovely! I highly recommend this cozy cabin to those who want a relaxing time. The nearby hiking trail was great too!

We had a WONDERFUL time in the Cozy Cabin. The location was just great - out of the larger city but only 15 min drive from all the yummy restaurants. The cabin was small, but perfect for our family with a 2 and 5 year old. Luckily we had snow and it was perfect to get in all the gear and just walk outside to play. There was a larger sledding area 2 min drive down the street as well. The cabin was well stocked and Maureen was extremely accommodating. She responded back within minutes. Impeccably clean, she takes COVID precautions very seriously. Well-stocked kitchen as well. Our children LOVED everything about it. Inside the cabin you'll also find at least 100 DVDs and VHS movies across all genres. We hope to be back next year!

We stayed in February to celebrate my little brothers birthday. The cabin was clean and just what we needed. It snowed the entire weekend and my brother had a blast sliding down the driveway. We hope to be able to book again next winter.

We very much enjoyed our time at the cozy cabin. It was perfect to explore in either North or South directions. We loved Flagstaff and Sedona. Enjoyed the fall weather and colors. We hope to go back soon.

Interiors were very cozy and charming. Old world feeling with the wood burning stove. Windows and little patios for early morning coffee made it special. Minor suggestions: Front yard needs maintenance to get the full impact of the property in the woods. More dishes in kitchen would help .

My wife and I enjoyed this comfortable retreat in between planned hikes in the Flagstaff area. The home is truly cozy an the layout was a great fit for us. The wood burning stove was a nice way to warm the main living area and provide ambiance, the beds were comfortable and we loved star gazing on the deck. We found all the instructions easy to follow and would enjoy returning again in the future.

My husband and I looked for a cabin in the Flagstaff area for a long time. This cabin was perfect for us and lives up to its name! Upon entering, the cabin seems to say Welcome Home! It is extremely clean, well appointed and has little homey touches throughout. The beds are comfortable, and there are lots of towels. We spent a lot of time on the big deck watching the birds and enjoying the flagstaff weather! Maureen and her husband were so helpful, and easy to communicate with. It’s location is in a great spot for hiking, touring, shopping and dining!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cabin. Everything we needed to get away from the heat in Phoenix. Comfy beds, very clean and so relaxing. Definitely plan to come back again to enjoy. You won’t be disappointed as the cabin is even more beautiful than the pictures.

Wonderful check in process and great host. I would only note that this property does not have AC. Which thankfully was okay since the weather was great. The drive way was a bit of a challenge. But again, this house is just as lovely and our host was extremely great. We would stay again! Also great selection of movies and games.

This place is perfect! Great location from flagstaff, the property is super easy to access with parking on site. We traveled with a few friends and the set up could not have been better! Beautiful porch to sit on with tables and chairs and both couples had their own room and bathroom! The kitchen has everything you need to be able to cook @ the house. Maureen the host was so easy to get in contact with and instructions for the home were simple and made it really easy to check out as well!

We rented this cabin for 3 nights & 4 days. It was my husband and I, our two kids; My husbands sister and her husband and their son. There was plenty of room for all of us. We loved having the wood burning stove going in the evenings while we sat in the kitchen playing games. We used the chimnea outside on the porch and we made hobo pie pizzas for lunch and apple pies for dessert. The kids enjoyed hiking the trail and collecting pine cones. Theres a playground close by so we took the kids there for a picnic. At night we roasted marshmallows and made smores. I was also glad to see that there were more than enough linnens and back up linnens. We didn't need to bring anything and there was a washer and dryer incase we needed to wash clothes. It was so nice to just get away from the loud noises of the city. It was so dark that we could even see the stars. This was our first trip as a family up to flagstaff and we will be going again. The only thing i would change is I would book it later in the winter season so the kids could sled down the driveway. We were there the 2nd weekend in December and it ended up being a strangely warm weekend (60's). It had snowed the week before so we thought there would be snow, but the weather warmed and it was all melted when we got there. Even though there wasn't any snow we still had an amazing time!!! Well worth the money!

My wife and I spent Three wonderfull days at this property. We could not ask for a better place to unwind form our busy lives, recharge our relationship and feel the touch of mothernature soothing our souls. The cabin was exactly as it was described and we have told many of our friends and family about our experiance. Flagstaff was close enough that we were only minuets away from shopping, fine resturants, historical sites, museums, theaters and all of the night life that a city with a major university has to offer. We had the choice to max and relax at our 'cozy cabin' or experiance the sights and activities of Flagstaff and the surounding area. We have been to Flagstaff many times, but this was the most satisfing experiance we have ever had. I can not see us staying in a hotel the next time we head to north to escape Phoenix. I recomend this place to anyone.

Four of us stayed in this cabin and were impressed with how clean, comfortable and well stocked it was. The directions made the location very easy to find and there were instructions inside the cabin for operating the heater, wood stove, etc. The owner was a pleasure to work with, always responding promptly and professionally to all of our questions. We also took advantage of the cabin's close proximity to Oak Creek Canyon and hiked among the fall colors. I would recommend this cabin to anyone seeking a getaway in the Flagstaff/Sedona area!

Walking into this place was WONDERFUL!!! We totally felt like we were at home!!! Walking distance to hiking, quiet neighborhood, and just an all around great place to spend some time!! We took our 16 and 13 yr. olds and they loved it!! We didnt feel like it was 'someone elses place'. It felt like home the minute we walked in!! We will truely be back!! Thank you!!

My family had a wonderful trip up at the cabin. Less then a two hour drive from Phoenix. The prefect weekend getway from the valley heat wave. The cabin has all the comforts of home and more. Country store close by for gas and last minute things you might have forgotten to bring. Also a subway inside if you don't feel like cooking. Looking forward to going back.

We stayed in Sept. 2010. We loved the area, the quietness, the coziness. One of our very few disappointments was the microwave. I think it is from the early 70's. We wanted to have a game night with our kids, so we bought microwave popcorn to enjoy. The microwave is so old, it doesn't even list popcorn on it and burnt it up. I know space is an issue, but even if you had to cut a corner out of the microwave cabinet to fit a new microwave, I think it would be worth it. New microwaves only cost about $50.00 and I think most vacationers would appreciate it. We also grilled out and that was great, but didn't find any specific BBQ tools to use, so had to use regular kitchen utensils, which worried me a little. They were fine, but we were worried about using them for that purpose. Would have also appreciated a non-stick pan (like for cooking scrambled eggs). But all in all, we had a great time and really enjoyed our stay. Thanks much!
