Very comfortable bedroom. Good leisure facilities although the gym is small but reasonable equipped for its size. The food was nice but a bit expensive. The breakfast had everything there you could want. The hotel has a cat :)
there wasn't a great selection of food at a reasonable price. Starters were £12 - £15 each!!

Timing, and everything
Nothing.

We had a lovely stay and the pool is a huge bonus! Rooms are quite big which was nice and bed was very comfortable.
Rooms are pretty dated and most of the furniture was marked or scuffed. Bathrooms were quite moldy in places so could do with being updated. For these reasons I believe it was a bit on the expensive side.

Good location, great view from my room. Lovely setting for dinner / restaurant.
Default 12.5% service charge in the restaurant.

One of the staff was quite rude

Well kept, spacious, lovely grounds
Reception arguing with the Spa team over towels - seemed to be in very short supply

Staff were great, price extremely reasonable, stunning location and the pool and spa facilities were clean and well maintained.
Both my friend and I couldn't get over how comfortable the bed was, best sleep I've had in ages.
We stayed in a courtyard room which was extremely large and could have easily accommodated twin beds or a king size bed rather than a standard double, which we would have been happy to pay more for.
We stayed for 2 nights. Housekeeping arrived around 11am on Saturday and I asked them to return later as was getting ready but not sure that was communicated proper so room wasn't freshened up but no big deal.
Would be useful to have some take away delivery menu's available for guests that arrive post dinner service.
But honestly, these are all minor, it was a fab stay and we will be back.

We have just returned from an absolutely lovely family break at Cricklade House Hotel. I don't usually write reviews, but felt compelled to write this as we had such a great stay.
We received a lovely, warm welcome on arrival from Simon on reception. He was super friendly and informative and an instant hit with our kids. He really went out of his way, for example; providing something secure in which to store our childs first tooth which came out shortly after we arrived!
The hotel itself was super warm and cosy which was much appreciated with the cold and stormy weather outside. We especially enjoyed seeing a log fire in the bar area.
We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant, friendly and attentive service and delicious food!
We booked a delux (reburbished) family room. It was tastefully decorated and came complete with robes and slippers, a Nespresso Coffee Machine and a balcony! It was very comfortable and spacious.
Shortly after our arrival, we were greeted with a knock on the door and delivery of a tray of welcome drinks! Such a lovely gesture, which we had not been expecting.
We spent the following morning enjoying the pool facilities followed by drinks in the bar, enjoying the beautiful views from the conservatory.
Thanks to everyone for making our stay so special. We are already looking forward to coming back!

The staff were very friendly and helped us with anything I needed. The room was clean, spacious and warm. The bed was very comfortable. No noise from within the hotel during the night.
I used the swimming pool, and steam room which were both clean and well maintained.
Quality of the food was good, both in the evening and at breakfast
The carpet in the room was a little threadbare, and not fitted well around the skirting boards, and there were cigarette burns on the dressing table. This did not detract from my stay but did not improve the feel of the room.
The white wine that was ordered at dinner was not chilled, there was not any other bottles of the same wine chilled, and we did receive a discount, but it should not have been served like that initially.
The food at breakfast was good quality and a good selection, but the staff seemed a little disorganised, we had to clear our plates onto an empty table that was not in use, in order to enjoy our breakfast.

Pool, staff and facilities were great!
Considering it was the superior suite, broken mirror on wardrobe, holes in the wall, walls showing signs of previous damp patching and pieces of furniture had doors missing. It was clean, but desperately needs some TLC.

Restaurant layout and tasty food.
Nothing comes to mind.

Breakfast was included in the price and I enjoyed the options on offer. The hotel provides good-sized rooms with comfortable beds. I slept well. The location is rural, situated on a ridge with extensive views west across fields and hills.
The wifi was slow in the evening.

A beautiful hotel, had a great stay here visiting the Cotswolds. The facilities were very good and the staff excellent, young Callum was very helpful, and sorted a a small problem we had with no fuss. Even better value if you can get the free breakfast offer from BW.
Well done and thank you for a great stay.
nothing.

The rooms and the pool
The single duvets were a disaster. The were like paper and the covers kept slipping off them. However when we did ask for replacements we got them.
The super salad is a rip off.. it’s basically a huge plate of lettuce, with very little else for £18

The room was large. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful. Parking was available and free.
The bed was very small. Double bed, but not even a queen size (too small for 2 people). The bathroom sink had separate hot and cold faucets, so you either burnt your hands or had very cold water. The bathroom and room was in bad need of renovation. The shower was very hard to operate, and only dispensed barely warm water. It was like taking a cold shower no matter how much I tried to adjust the knob. There was no heat or A/C. When we checked in the room was actually cold, but the receptionist informed us that the central heat is turned off in June. He provided a small space heater instead. Overall for the value, this was not a good hotel. Very outdated. When we asked if there were any refurbished rooms we could move to, the receptionist informed us that although some of the rooms have been updated, none were available at the time.

The location is good, we drove to Swindon which was 17mins drive for breakfast, lunch and diner. There was hardly any guest and the hotel seemed quite empty and we could use the spa just to ourselves. Our room was delux and a decent size for 2 adults and 2 kids.
We were welcomed with drinks and desert which was very generous and kind. The gentleman with the glasses who sat at the reception and the few other staff was very friendly. The spa facilities was good, decent size pool, sauna room was clean and steam room was clean too. The changing areas were good size with locker and clean
As soon as we entered Our room had a bad odour to it probably because of the carpet or may be it was closed for a long time. For £250 for 2 nights the room view was the tennis court and little bit of the Golf course(Although the property had good greenary all over). Breakfast Time was until 8:45am which was a bit inconvenient specially if you have kids who wake up only after 8 as it is summer holidays and are hungry all the time. We stayed for 2 nights but could never make it to the breakfast. On the second night we wanted to have dinner but we’re told that kitchen closes at 8pm(May be there was no staff as there was not many customers) so, We ended up ordering takeaway. Second day , cleaning was done but only the towels and bins were changed but the room was not vaccumed which was kind of weird and instead had shoe marks all over the carpet (we never wore shoes inside the room and kept it inside the shoe drawer in the cupboard.

It was overpriced. The food was ok but very expensive and not much of it. The drinks were really expensive. Our room was really cold. No heater or anything

Nice location, good facilities, friendly staff.
Room (12) was nice and spacious with dual aspect but would benefit from a bit of updating.

Property was good
Did have an issue with the booking even after I had rung up but I was sorted at the end
The cost of drinks and meals, far too expensive 2 drinks are £15
Breakfast was £15 ahead - we didn't drink
Much or have breakfast and only had a few drinks happy to spend money in a hotel when I stay but not at this one unfortunately

Main hotel was good, restaurant dinner was lovely desserts we're not worth £11.00
The room we were given in the court yard was unacceptable (room8) we booked 2 rooms but our room had not been refurbished. Carpet was dirty, coffee dropped on cream carpet and no attempt to clean. Bath room looked about 30 years old..we had to complain and were only given a different room after we refused a discount and we had to show the manager the room. Around the windows could have been cleaned and stain on radiators, just needed wiping. my husband phoned to book 9 hole golf course and was fold he didn't need to. But it was unplayable, over grown greens and fairway.. it hadn't been looked after since lockdown.. the new room was much better but I was very upset about the lengths we had to go to get it. It should never have been offered to anyone

The hotel rooms were very dated need a good overhaul

Facilities, location, views.
Breakfast staff tried there best but appeared to lack in knowledge and skills required for waitresses, think they could do with some leadership in this respect. Can't comment on evening meals as we never ate in. The above comments are meant to be constructive rather than just "moaning". We certainly did enjoy our stay and shall recommend and come back.
Very impressed with the gym equipment, far better than a lot of other so called gym facilities provided by Hotels.com
Many thanks to all.

Room and facilities, very nice. Great views out window. We walked around the grounds and was very peaceful. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Many thanks
Would of loved a slightly bigger potion of cooked breakfast as it was very minimal for cost... However filled up on continental which was lovely.
