Flott rom med flott utsikt og veranda. Nydelig frokost
Betalte mye for rommet.

Only nice thing that comes to my mind is that it is based on Marstrand.
We arrived at 12:00 and the woman at the reception told me that the room we booked was ready. I then highlighted that we are traveling with a small dog as I had written in the email I had sent during booking and to which they never replied. At that point she spoke in Swedish with her colleague and then told me that the room was not ready because they had to give us a “dog room” which was not ready yet. I highlighted that it would have been nice to reply to the email of a customer and the employee named Christoffer in a rude and arrogant way replied that the check-in is from 3 pm and that I was too much in advance. I replied to him that I didn’t expect to check-in, I just wanted an apology for the missing reply and if they just looked at my email it would have helped them to be better organized. When we then checked-in at 3:30 pm, we found out that the “dog room” is a dirty room on the first floor (namely floor 2) with a view on the parking lot while I booked and paid in advance a room with view on the inner yard. The floor is scratched, the spot for the luggages is dirty and there is even a pee on the wall (pictures attached). When my girlfriend complained about these things at the reception, Mr Christoffer (no surname provided) and his colleague replied in a controversial way, first saying that indeed the rooms for travelers with dogs are less nice and then that all rooms in the hotel are similar to ours because they are in the middle of restructuring the hotel. I wonder how a hotel which is currently under renovation (btw no signs of it around) can ask for 250€ per night for dirty rooms. The staff said that no other rooms were free so we couldn’t have switched room. Mr Christoffer just added that in case we will have something at the bar/restaurant maybe they would waive the costs at checkout . A drink doesn’t pay back such a low level service and overpriced place.

Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. Setting was beautiful. For the best restaurants take the ferry across the harbor.

asked if we could stay in our suite for an additional 2 nights and received a look of “of course your can’t”

Excellent breakfast, friendly staff, good beds, great location
The classic trick of putting one-night-guests in the room for the disabled, with no view, a bathroom with no storage possibilities, and a floor that gets wet while showering.
‘Minibar’ drinks like beer and sparkling wine are offered, but there is no refrigerator.

Location was perfect for us.
Breakfast was very good.
Rooms were good quality.
Slept very well.
Reception went the extra mile by allowing us to park in their carpark for two days (paid) after checkout.

Great location, right in the bay of Marstrands! looks good on the outside, lobby and restaurant were all nice…like many other hotels, clearly this is where they invest, not the rooms. Gym was the best hotel gym I’ve seen, literally everything you could want. They have hot tubs outside on the patio. They have a swimming pool but I didn’t go in that so can’t comment. Breakfast was good, it was a buffet but everything you would want mainly……but beware….not all as it seems.
The property advertises all the nice rooms over looking the bay, which must be a great view. Sadly I will never know, because what they don’t tell you is the rooms on the other side are over looking a massive car park! The room’s fixtures are on the cheap for the price they are charging for the rooms. They are trying to market themselves as a premium hotel, but the rooms are far from it. I paid £165 a night to stay here and I’ve stayed in £70 a night hotels in the Uk that were much nicer. They have no room service in terms of food, only drinks can be sent up to the rooms! Restaurant is booking only so if you arrive later on in the evening and just fancy a quick bite to eat, no room service so you have to have the bar food. At Breakfast, I had a full cup of tea, full glass of juice, full bowl of granola on the table, I go up to get something hot and I come back and the waitress has taken all my food away, then when I mention it she looked and spoke to me like I just spat on her dog! Breakfast felt like they were rushing you to finish and get lost. My room had a huge crack down the floor, when I mentioned it to the reception they pretend they don’t know about it…yes right. The ceiling in my room was just concrete, had a wooden raw peg just sticking out of it, drill holes, stupid fire alarm with metal channeling…wasn’t industrial chic, it looked like someone couldn’t be bothered to pay for the finishing. Bathroom tiling looked like the person forgot their spirit level, I could do a better job myself. I felt Catfished by this hotel to be honest, for the price and with it being Marstrands, I expected much more than I got. When I was checking out, the receptionist asked me about my stay, when I mentioned the view, she just laughed….this hotel know they are misleading people with their advertising….my advise is beware when you book a stay at this hotel because you might get a nasty surprise like I got. Sadly I felt a bit ripped off.

The room doesn’t seem to be deserving 4 stars.. stained and unhooked curtains, very damaged floor, small TV with visible hanging wires, low-end furniture, bathroom with rudimentary toiletries and no space to put your belongings, instead of the mini bar : small basket filled with a few items (including hot champagne because no refrigerator), balcony difficult to access because of the furniture, stained armchair, very marked bathroom doorway, etc.

The rooms were old style and for a vacation Hotel very small. The cleaningness was more then poor.

Breakfast was plentiful. Though on the first morning our coffee was already in a jug on the table and it was so strong we couldn’t drink it. This morning I asked for hot milk to go with coffee and 2 people asked me hot milk??
Chairs in bedrooms very uncomfortable. Bathroom sink was behind the bed!!!!! Very strange
