Staff were great and really friendly
The room I was sold was unbearable to sleep in as a night club across the road came on at 10pm untill 3am and the whole room rattled like you were in a night club so it was impossible to sleep!!when I showed concern I was offered a much smaller room with no balcony or kitchen and no refund at all!!WHAT EVER YOU DO,DONT BOOK THE BALCONY ROOM WITH SEA VIEW ROOM NUMBER 47 UNLESS YOU CAN SLEEP THROUGH A FUNTION 1 SOUND SYSTEM

it was very cute and directly across the street from the beach. My room had air conditioning. The pool was nice.
It was not updated but very charming.

the location is literally 20 meters from beach, which was very nice.
The staff mention that could be scorpions in our room.

Room #2 was very loud in the mornings.
Like 6am to 7 am ..
Maybe when staff arrived.
But I reqfor another room more back from the entrance and it was more quiet.
Been their 2 times and can not figure out the TV and its remote.
But I had my phone and Wi-Fi

The young lady who checked me in was extremely professional. She saw that I was exhausted from the flight. She offered me a room away from all the street noise (it was still very noisy). She was kind and empathetic.
I recommend they plug in the refrigerator as soon as a booking is made. The refrigerator smelled musty and moldy. Also, turn on the a/c for us Westerners prior to arrival. Escondido is extremely hot, even at night.

Hotel confirmed a pick up from the airport but nobody was there. Had to wait over half an hour and only with the help of another transfer company calling the hotel did someone come and pick us up. Would have been easier to get the collectivo!!
Very young staff on reception only interested in collecting the money. Asked to see the room first as I had booked a rooftop room with a kitchen, private terrace and roof terrace. Gorgeous view from the huge shared terrace but no furniture! Just one chair which a person from another room was sitting on (on our terrace).
Patio doors broken so couldnt lock it.
Asked for patio furniture so we could use the terrace and for the door to be fixed as we couldn't leave our room until we could lock up.
The teenagers on reception just didn't have the experience to deal with any problems, just kept asking for payment which we told them would be made as soon as things were fixed. Hours later somebody came to fix the door and we could actually leave our room.
When we returned they had put a sole dining chair on the terrace. Really weird!!
Ill equipped kitchen so dont book if you intend to cook.
Photos look like theres a pool bar but its not in use and doesn't look like it has been for the past 20 years.
Asked for a corkscrew but none to be had in the whole hotel!!
In fact everything we asked for was met with a 'NO' from the youngsters on reception. We were laughing about it in the end as it was like staying at Fawlty Towers.
Everything!!

the pool was the only good thing about this hotel - clean and refreshing
Where to start? Nobody should be staying in the bungalow we were assigned (#51). It had only screens so no shut windows and disco blared from right across the street and down the alley every night until about 4 am. The bungalow also backed onto an alley and a garbage truck came by around 4:30 a.m. - the bins of glass were touching the back wall of our bungalow and the truck and the breaking glass were loud. It was impossible to sleep. DO NOT BOOK THIS ROOM. The front desk finally moved us to a different, regular inside hotel room, which was acceptable and much quieter, but the actual Manager didn't (wouldn't?) talk to us. I feel we should have been reimbursed for the awful, sleepless night we spent in the bungalow. IT WAS THE WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE.

The location was great except for the nighttime constant blaring music from the businesses across the road.
The housecleaning did not show up for 3 days. We had to go ask for towels and toilet paper. The music blared from 8pm until 4 am sometimes 5:30 am.

Lives our cabaña and hammock. Pool was great with comfy sun beds.
A long wait to check in thi they let us use pool while we waited. Music from bar across street was unbearable so for that reason only, we would never stay here again.

perfectly located at the beach in zicatela,. The room was big and had a well equipped kitchen. Balcony was amazing, Friendly and helpful staff.
Wi-Fi could be better, a little noisy in the evenings.

Amazing location, across the road from the beach and right in the middle of bars/restaurants.
If you’re a fussy traveler be aware that this is an older hotel. The adjoining restaurant is being rebuilt for a late December 2022 opening. I suspect the entire property may be fully renovated in the near future which will obviously increase the nightly rate. At the time of writing it’s great value for money.

This hotel was the perfect location. It was close to everything. Also the hotel staff was so awesome. Especially Fernanda she help so much with everything. Our room was ready when we got there. The view was the best part. Our room had ocean view and street view of everything.
3.6
The location is of course great,
The cabaña had a hammock outside
The place was very dusty and full of cobwebs and bugs, I'm surprised we didn't get bed bugs.
The bathroom was terrible! Dirty and moist and no window or fan to help.

location
Noise all night from restaurants around.

Staff very friendly. Swimming pool ok. Balcony with fridge nice.
La proximidad de la discoteca. Very loud music until 4am. It was like actually being thete.
3.6
Location near the beach.
Its definitely in the party zone of the beach and I wasn't aware of that.
3.6
Breakfast was in the attached restaurant but we preferred Cafecito along the road. The hotel could have a member of staff from the cafe regularly circling the pool because I am sure they would have taken more orders!

Great location when you want to come back walking from the Zicatela parties. The stuff was great, nice and helpful and the AC is one of the best in Puerto Escondido. Nice pool and great value for money.
There's a difference between the rooms, the beach front rooms are less good in my opinion.
