Wow, what a beautifully designed and decorated hotel. I so love that all of the rooms are each themed off of a different significant Woman in Mexican history. Fascinating to learn about.
The room was very spacious and had a huge bed. The staff were also very kindly understanding that I arrived quite early and feeling a bit unwell, due to a long overnight ADO bus ride. They were able to get me in a room a bit earlier, so I could rest.
The pool among all of the lush plants was delightful to dip into as well. Truly a little oasis among the hustle and bustle of central Tapachula. Very accessible to the nearby big market area as well.
Would highly recommend to stay here, if you are looking for something cozy and delightful for your stay in Tapachula. :)
The restaurant on site was still closed. Would be lovely if it was operational again. :)

Public areas and room are filled with interesting Mexican art and old photographs. It’s centrally located and safe with staff onsite 24 hours. The water pressure is AMAZING and the air conditioning was a life saver in this hot and very humid climate.
The WiFi is AWFUL.

Comfortable, good sized room, aircon, hot showers, lovely pool, generally quiet considering area. Loved all the old Mexicana pictures & furniture
Location, no parking (if you had a rental), no coffee in rooms, no English news TV.

A lot of plants and art, niece concept, great price for the quality. We are definitely coming back.
I wouldn’t give it 5 stars cause it’s quite aged. The days we were there restaurant didn’t work, so we couldn’t have breakfast or dinner on place. Also consider that windows overlook the courtyard with the pool and if there are kids playing, it becomes noisy.

Cosy little hotel with lots of atmosphere. Lots of plants around the tiny pool area. Staff were friendly and very helpful, particularly the owner.
Rooms and bathrooms are very small and cramped, as this is an old family home that's been turned into a hotel. Cleaning is lacking. Also my toilet made an awful noise when flushed; sounded like the tank was going to explode.

Very nice building close to the old(?) and very lively part of town. Was able to park my motorcycle in the locked parking space (not sure a car would have fit though). Room has AC, bed was comfortable, bathroom was small but had hot water and good pressure. Very nice inner courtyard - a real sanctuary from the craziness outside. Small pool was nice for cooling off. The room was nicely decorated (I stayed in the Frida Kahlo room with corresponding decorations). Was able to get a beer from the "bar", etc. I was the only Gringo around that part of town all night. Overall it was a good option for Tapachula. If you want a bit more modern/USA style lodging there are a few options on the other side of town but if you're OK with something more authentic and local, this is a great option. Booking's 5 Star rating has to be seen in the context of local surroundings and alternate options.
Internet was barely there... maybe 0.5Mbps at best - Telcel worked though. Beer could have been colder ;-). Probably the rougher part of town as far as I could tell (not unsafe though IMHO), and the best local restaurant might be Pollo Campero, so...

I would highly recommend this oasis to anyone
It was all great, though I would have preferred a fan to air con.

This place is great, awesome deal and super serene. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, they even went as far as to walk me to a local ATM to get cash out as I was unfamiliar with the area.
Hotter shower water!

Very secure parking for our motorcycle. Interesting decor! Good WiFi..
Unfortunately the restaurant was/is closed (the hotel had been recommended to us for the good restaurant!).. shame as the interior pool and table area is lovely..

Charming hotel in perfect location for accessing city center of Tapachula. This is my second time staying in the hotel. Small, nice pool to cool off on hot days, and good A/C in rooms. Able to order drinks and snacks, but unfortuantely the restaurant was closed. Staff is lovely and very helpful. Very safe and very clean. I am looking forward to the next visit.
WiFi in rooms is not so strong, but it is strong in front receiption area and outside in courtyard.

Gorgeous jewel of a hotel. Second time staying here. Great staff, amazing decor -- clearly a labor of love by the owner! Very intimate.
The internet was weak.

Jose Antonio went above & beyond. We were lost, trying to find this hotel in Tapachula. He walked several blocks to meet us and show us the way to the hotel. Later he brought extra towels & water to our room and helped us with securing our money in the safe. He also spoke English which was very helpful!
Shaved whiskers, from the previous guest, were on the tiled wall of the shower.

Food service was closed due to Covid, but scheduled to commence again in January 2022
If you are looking for old world charm with some of the best hospitality money can buy, at a cost far below expectations, this is the ideal property.

The hotel is one of the most beautifully decorated places I’ve stayed at. Every inch is covered in pieces that showcase history. I especially loved that each room of the hotel is named/dedicated to a famous woman in Mexican culture!
The pool is central to the space and is surrounded by nature; a perfect place to relax and cool down.
The hotel sits on the corner of a busy street and is in close proximity to many stores and restaurants within walking distance! It was easy to get around by foot and find a lot if you need it.
I absolutely loved my stay here! Unfortunately it is quite easy to hear everything going on outside of the rooms but if you’re a light sleeper just bring earplugs in case!

They need to improve the cleaning of furniture, bathrooms, floors, etc.
