Beautiful hotel with lovely staff!

Staff was lovely, very welcoming. The restaurant was delicious with traditional Tamil food with a great cocktail/drinks menu. The room was comfortable, very spacious, clean. The hotel itself is gorgeous - I highly recommend!

Fantastic!

Lovely hotel with a boutique feel. Room was much better than it looked in the pictures. Lovely touches in the room (like the freshly brewed tea selection) and toiletries. Staff and food fantastic. We really enjoyed the complimentary cooking demonstration by the head chef. Really good introduction from staff upon check in explaining Pondicherry and things available around the city and the extra activities offered by the hotel.

Very homely. And definitely grows on you. Never felt restless being in the room

Quaint yet well appointed. Exceptionally responsive staff. Well trained. Excellent homely food. Although not for those who like over masala and spice. Or like multi cuisine options. Don’t waste you time trying to eat in other places. There’s nothing special to offer in pondi. So make the most of this place.

Overall excellent experience, we went there in June. Afternoons can be very hot and humid.

Property heritage, proximity to white town, the hospitality of the staff.

Tamil quarters where Maison Perumal is located are still in development by INTAC, walking on the road is difficult with garbage, zipping-honking vehicles.

outstanding property & staff - CGH really seem to have raised the bar on experiences

great rooms - with effective cooling , clean & having all the amenities required. The restaurant was 10/10 food , service & options all well thought thru. The staff was well trained & keen to take care of all requirements promptly.

Relaxing family time with good food.

The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Some rooms didn't have any windows, which is ok due to old style building, but this should be called out in some way.

Beautifully restored hotel. Comfortable rooms with a delicious restaurant.

Staff is so helpful and the level of service is excellent. Provided lots of information on things to do in the area. The hotel is beautifully restored, its airy and has a lovely home like feel. Its in a quieter area but easy walking distance to the French quarter. Free bikes are provided. The restaurant serves Tamil style delicious food that feels home cooked. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

The standard rooms are on the smaller size.

Staff at reception and restaurant very good and polite. Food in restaurant enjoyable but could have been more spicy.

Avoid deluxe 4 poster rooms as right at front of property and suffers from road noise from 7am until 10pm, actually quite bad in our opinion. Bathroom dark and small.

Relaxing and great staff made the experience memorable.

The staff was extremely courteous, helpful, & amazing. Very clean premises & loved the personalization.

The rooms are not all the same size. One of the rooms we got was fairly small though the rate difference was minimal.

we stayed here for 4 nights in Dec 22 and loved it. The food was excellent, the open courtyard in the middle of the building was gorgeous. It can be quite warm even here in winter so the fans certainly helped. We used their sister hotels pool a couple of times which was rooms was great. Would definitely return.

Very good

I stayed there for the new years night, before I could go to my destination. I was pleasantly surprised by all the events planned by the staff. I enjoyed the sustainable probiotic products. I thoroughly enjoyed the traditional music, dance and art planned to celebrate the 31st might. The staff is extremely friendly, always have a smile.

Comfortable stay in an elegant period mansion, bursting with character

Lovely hotel in an old Tamil style villa in the Tamil Quarter. Very comfortable room, a wonderful lobby, excellent restaurant and very friendly staff.

A unique stay experience in midst of a busting city.

The hospitality at the resort is truly exceptional. The resort is located in a faily busy street, but once you enter the resort the atmoshpere turns very serene and calm. The breakfast buffet is limited, which is good because what was provided tastes amazing esp. the south indian dishes. A truly relaxing stay largely due to the smiling faces of people who run this place.

Old world ambience and charm. Very helpful, friendly and attentive staff.

Location could be cleaned up some more. Exposed street drainage. Cuisine could be more Franco-Tamil.
