The surrounding landscape is sublime, the log cabins being perfectly appropriate to the woodland setting. Plenty of privacy, very comfortable cabins.
No complaint.

Location. Cabins.
Ants inside the cabins. Mattresses not comfortable.

The room is very cozy and nice. You can feel the mother nature by viewing small pond and greenery across. The property is well maintained with lots of cars to drop off from restaurants or reception to villa. Staffs are polite and good. We did see mother mangose with her small babies around which was very cute. Sauna is good with hot and cold water pool for different genders.
The prices is too high and their onsen was not functioning. If you eat heavy meal then this place is not for you as restaurant serves only small portions of meals which is not that worth. Hence please carry some extra food from outside as this place is way far where you won't find any stores like Lawson , 7/11 etc. Lots of mosquitoes so please do carry your own repellent, although hotel do provide coils.

felt like our group was the only group of guests at the hotel. The staff’s service was excellent from the start to end.

The size and layout of the cabin was perfect and had a lot of character. Perfect for a family getaway. Close to the airport with a convenient shuttle.
Very far from town so be prepared with whatever you need well before you arrive.

Beautiful winter location, not far from the airport (20 mins). Cabins were bigger and nicer than the online pictures presented. Secluded and so romantic location. Loved the wood fireplace in the cabin. King size bed was very comfy, but kids beds were very hard. 2 toilets in the 2 bedroom cabin, big balcony with direct frontage to big lake. Snow in December was thick and powdery. Lake had a walking track all around. We walked it twice. They had the onsen open for the week we were there, it was free for guests so we used it twice. It is really boiling, but nice to try, they provide nice body lotions and shampoos. It's so tranquil and peaceful despite there being a major highway only 500 meters away. Western Breakfast was ok. But you have to eat exactly what they bring in front of you. Cold lettuce was a bit weird for a snowy winter day breakfast, but there was also a very small portion of eggs and sausages and some plain bread. We couldn't ask to change anything, black coffee for my kids was a bit much though. Waiters dressed in fine dining attire tux style, again a bit strange for breakfast, but anyway whatever works for them.
Well like many of the other reviews, we agree that the food options left us hungry. The Cabins come with a big kitchen, but strange that they don't give you anything to cook with, no pots, plates or cutlery and no stove. Just a kettle. So you are forced to eat in their restaurant, which charges 700 Yen per person for their fixed meal. Myself and teen had certain food needs (vegetarian), so we couldn't eat in their restaurant, and the room service food wasn't much cheaper and very insipid or strange foods. For example the beef curry was only 3 thin slices of half cooked (bloody) beef in a bowl of brown gravy. No curry flavour at all. We actually had to resort to eating 2 minute noodles that we brought from Sapporo, otherwise we would have been left very hungry. The staff here speak basic English, but they all look so unhappy, not warm nor friendly, can't understand why, when Japanese hospitality in Sapporo was amazing. Here no one smiles or tries to help you. Also there are no board games, card games, English books or English magazines available. The TV in our bedroom has no English programs. I think this resort is meant only for Japanese weddings or Japanese honeymooners and not for western people. They have 2 magnificent chapels for weddings and a beautiful seperate lake front wedding cabin set up for the dinner reception. But despite this, I would still go back again. It's just so picturesque. Bring some food and some board games. Also I purchased a blue plastic sled from a shop in Sapporo and my teen kids had hours of fun in the snow playing on it. I left it there, so please ask for it if you have kids who love to play in the snow. The hotel provides free transport to and from the airport, but only on selected hours and only if you email them and prebook their van. Otherwise the taxi cost is a lot. we had to take a car that could hold our 4 pieces of small luggage and 4 people.
