Very private. An Olde Worlde feeling about the place, which is like an old homestead.
A bit hard to find and a fair distance into the bush; a little isolated, though for some, that may be just what they are looking for.
4.5 / 5.0
Located well out of town , surprised but a real bonus. Very quiet comfortable great view of the bush.
Drinks snacks and continental breakfast provided. Own small bathroom attached to room which was a bonus for a guest house. Room had a King Bed and a Ceiling Fan. Didn't want to leave !
TV in room very small Easy access to large TV in lounge

i normally do not leave reviews however on this occasion it warrants a few short words. our short stay at Wombatella was exceptionally memorable. we did not have to leave the room which was lucky as it was raining outside. everything we could possibly have needed was provided in the room for our stay. facilities were spotless and should we have ventured out of the room there were facilities downstairs to be used. large kitchen lounge tv room fireplace. seriously i can only give 10/10 here.

Terrific hospitality. Exceptionally generous and thoughtful supplies for breakfast, snacks and drinks.
Sign to Reception was a bit subtle for a gloomy, rainy late afternoon.

Warm welcome. Spacious, clean room with everything supplied for a comfortable stay. Fully stocked fridge, wine and beer - all complimentary. Lovely view from the balcony down to the billabong where kangaroos congregate at dusk.
Lack of wifi might bother some people but, hey, you're here to relax. We didn't miss it at all

The room was cosy but spacious, with spectacular views from the balcony. The complimentary items on offer (pastries, fresh fruit, ham, cheese etc) were a lovely touch. A nice place to relax and unwind.
Our only criticism is about cleanliness. We noticed a number of neglected areas e.g. cobwebs/dust on light fittings, crumbs on the mug tray, area under vanity looked dusty/dirty (only noticed this from across the room). Overall, the room was comfortable enough and the things that really needed to be clean, like bedding, were, but a more thorough clean would have made our experience better.

Breakfast was as advertised. Orange juice was excellent & pastries adequate.
The building & gardens would have been beautiful in their time but are now tired & in need of maintenance.

Really enjoyed the area and the accommodation was perfect. Big comfortable room with private balcony overlooking gardens/ native surroundings. Breakfast provisions were ok but decided on breakfast out. However there were snacks, beer and wine which were nice and enjoyed. Also there was access to a lounge with a fireplace
Wombat sighting on property and kangaroos on way into town were just what we wanted to see
There were young children also staying at the time who were noisy in the morning running along wooden floor ways and banging on doors.
But really everything was pretty good
