They really nailed it with this "Million Dollar View" description- the clouds wandering in below the mountains and above the pristine reservoir provide an ever changing sight that is captivating and reminded our family of the lochs surrounding the highlands of Scotland. The house was great for kids and adults alike - we even got to see a few bear cubs milling about outside. Kelley, the property manager, was extremely responsive and kind. The kitchen had plenty of fridge & prep space as we were cooking for 16. Love how the bunk room is off the game room for the older kids- they were able to claim the bottom floor and we heard them laughing into the night playing pool and poker. This place felt like home and we were sad to leave.

My family enjoyed their downtime. The view was amazing. As a flatlander, a little nervous driving at night. Thoroughly enjoyed our time away from home.
4.7
The place overall was great although we do believe that some parts of the property needed some fixes. The deck in the backyard has a board piece that's broken and the railing is falling apart.

Amazing views and very nice property

Our family enjoyed a great weekend together.

This was a wonderful place for six long time friends to stay while enjoying the beautiful Asheville area! Everyone had their own room with no more than two sharing a bathroom.
House sits high on the mountain with a breathtaking view.
House had everything we needed and the some.
One highlight was seeing 5 black bears several days on our trip up or down the mountain!

Our family very much enjoyed our stay in this property and especially the amazing mountain views. The kitchen was well stocked and the hot tub was very relaxing. Steep drive up, but once you are there the walk into the house is flat.

Myself and five of my besties had a fabulous weekend getaway in Asheville and Laurel Ridge was the perfect place to relax and unwind at the end of our busy days. We found the house neat and clean and very well stocked with everything you need. The kitchen always seems to be a gathering spot for us and I found it to be larger than it appears in the pictures. The furniture was nice and comfy, and the deck and views....absolutely stunning!

Super spacious property, excellent view, great location that's secluded without being remote, a wonderful place to get together with friends or family without feeling crowded

First, let me say that the pictures do not really show how nice this house really is! It is a beautiful home perfect for that mountain getaway! We had a great time at our teacher retreat enjoying all of this space. The view is absolutely amazing! Getting there is a bit of an adventure (very narrow and winding roads and a very sharp turn on the road that leads to the home) as you are truly in the mountains away from it all, but the town of Black Mountain is not far. There was plenty of space inside and outside for all 17 of us to enjoy the porches and the hot tub was a plus! Kelley was great at responding to my emails if we had questions or any problems.
There were just a few issues, the icemaker was extremely slow and we did not have any ice after the first night and that was a bit of an issue with that many people staying so we had to purchase some ice when we went to town, for the rest of our stay (Kelley offered reimbursement for the ice purchased.) One of the bathrooms leaked through the ceiling over the steps which caused some slips, but no injuries (thank goodness) and we had to use some towels to soak that water up. Kelley was quick to responding to this situation and I'm sure it will be repaired for the next group! One of the bedrooms needed a bit more cleaning before our stay. Overall, the home is spacious and beautiful and our stay was just amazing! Definitely a gem! Kelley was great to work with for our needs and we would stay again!

Very spacious with everything you need to have a wonderful vacation. Including a kitchen that is extremely well stocked. Any questions were responded to quickly. Highly recommend this home for a vacation spot.

This property was absolutely beautiful. It was spacious and everyone was able to sleep comfortably. I love the feel of this property, it was so familiar. The kitchen was absolutely perfect to accommodate the cooking and big enough that my family was able to sit around the island and just hang out while the food was being prepared. I love this property and will definitely rent out again.

Perfect location for our large family to hike the local trails and fly fish West Pigeon river

We enjoyed our stay. The driveway is very steep but added to the experience. The view was great. Some updating/maintenance could be done and a new hot tub will be needed soon but overall we enjoyed our time thanks!

The property was as described with an impressive view of Burnett Reservoir. Kelley emailed a wealth of helpful information prior to arrival from driving directions to kitchen-item inventory. Plenty towels, extra linens, and loved the extra touch of lots of cozy throw blankets in the living room.

Beautiful views and owner was very responsive to any and all inquiries that were needed.

We enjoyed the beautiful sunrises and the views from up high. Lots of a lots of room for my family and guests. Centrally located to several other places to visit.

This home was great for multiple families with multiple spaces to gather. We Loved having 2 dining tables. We had a table to play games on and a table to eat on. There was plenty of beds for everyone! The home has the best view of the mountains and lake below and nice windows to see it all. We had 2 senior adults with us that had a hard time with the stairs. To get to the living are and kitchen requires a flight of stairs.

Our family had a great stay, the owner was very quick to respond to any questions I had. The town of black Mounties so cute, we loved the stores and breweries. The house is very comfortable and definitely recommend

We enjoyed our stay, with plenty of space to spread out in the six bedrooms. The beds were comfortable, the fireplace worked great, and the hot tub was lovely. The kitchen is well stocked and we were easily able to cook our big family holiday meal. I also appreciated the Christmas decorations to make it more festive. We hiked the Lookout Trail (20 minute drive), and enjoyed downtown Black Mountain (10 minute drive). The host, Kelley, was super responsive and the check in instructions were easy to follow. Thanks!

House very clean. View was amazing! Kitchen had everything needed to cook Thanksgiving meal. Kelly was so responsive to anything we needed. Large stock of linens. House is very large & accommodates large families well. Having two refrigerators was a huge plus. Downstairs game room great for kids & family. They enjoyed playing pool. We were up the mountain but also close to downtown. Would rent again!

This home is perfect for a family gathering. Plenty of beds, space to spread out and places to sit. 2 dining tables is a great idea and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare meals for the group. The house also has plenty of towels and sufficient baths. Beyond that, the views are spectacular and stargazing from any of the decks, or the hot tub, is delightful! Be aware that if you have folks who struggle with stairs that you ll need to climb at least one flight but our 86 year old matriarch managed and thought the stay was well worth the extra stairs effort. Also, the owners provide all the info you need to operate everything and find your way aound the area.

My children, grandchildren and myself - all 9 of us stayed in your cabin for a visit to The Biltmore House. Your cabin is so spacious offering room for reading, watching TV upstairs or downstairs, or shooting pool. We enjoyed our stay so much.
Thanks

The house is large and easily slept our 6 with many rooms to spare. The view was incredible and leaves were at their peak. Black Mountain was an adorable town with tons to do. Only 2 complaints. Fireplace would not work after the first night. (Sonya, cleaner, thought it was the thermostat) the other compliant which is nominal, both toaster levers had to be held down to toast. Made it difficult to multi-task. Beautiful place.
4.7
We were lucky enough to be in Black Mountain when it was the height of the fall colors. It was beyond stunning. Every time any of us walked by a window, we would have to stop and take a breath. We had plenty of space and a visit we will never forget.
4.7
Truly a million $ view! Spacious common rooms. Well stocked with dishes and linens. Steep mountain roads... Loved seeing the wild turkeys in the area. Very peaceful mountain setting.
Responsive helpful host.

We are a group of 8 travel buddies. This house was perfect! Close to super hiking, we loved the town of Black Mountain, it was easy to get to Asheville. Kelley was great to work with, everything easy and smooth! Thank you for a great week!

We absolutely adored our stay at this property - it was perfect for our family reunion! We hosted everyone for a lovely dinner and enjoyed the view. Lots of room for everyone and a very well-stocked kitchen. Will definitely try to stay for our next visit to family in Black Mountain!

Views from the house were better than advertised! Plenty of comfortable bedding and amenities!!
4.7
View beautiful. Prompt communication with owner. Furniture a bit “tired”.
4.7
We loved our stay! The house had plenty of space, it was very clean, and the view was breathtaking. Kelley was responsive and very accommodating. We would definitely come back!
4.7
We loved the roomy house and comfort. The person who cleaned did a very good job, and was hard at work when we got there. We loved the view and seeing a lot of wildlife including bears. The hot tub for some was a good thing. The location was great. Visited Black Mountain and Asheville. Disposing of trash was very convenient. The hostess (Kelley) was very easy to communicate with and gave great information. We definitely enjoyed our stay and may want to stay again sometime. Thank you for letting us stay.
4.7
Our family enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Great nature experience and plenty of space for large and extended families.
4.7
My family, a few friends and myself (15 people total) stayed here 2 nights and 3 days and we throughly enjoyed ourselves. Even though it rained some we still had a blast! The house was way bigger than we expected and we had more than enough room for everyone. When the time came to leave we were not ready to go! When we had to reach out to the person in charge of the property, they responded back in a very timely manner. We would definitely consider staying here again!
4.7
Overall, we really loved staying here, and it was such a beautiful setting! There were a few issues. One of the toilets was leaking so we couldn't use it during our stay. We paid for hot tub usage but weren't able to get it working - of course, it could have been user error. Kelley was prompt in responding to messages. We loved having the big gathering area upstairs and the pool table downstairs. A plus with our multi-generational group! Our dog came with us, which we were happy about. We would definitely stay here again if the need arises!
4.7
The house was great for a large group. Parking was a little tricky, but it's a mountain house so it should be expected.
4.7
This was the first time that my children and 9 grandchildren stayed in 1 house all together and we had a blast. The house was perfect for the little ones to run around and for the adults to to have quiet time if needed. The house is close enough to supermarket as well as many place to visit. We were even visited a few times by a young bear.
