really beautiful hotel in the middle of the countryside, we stayed for a few days after our wedding and the staff were attentive, the food was delicious, the room was spotless and very comfy bed, nice views from our window. Not too far from attractions. A really lovely place to stay! I have already recommended to my parents!!

Location, room and food
Bathroom was a little small and we would have appreciated a blanket/throw on bed

Location food and staff
Room size very small. The hotel has a welcome dog policy for which they charge but what about non dog owners why to we have to put up with eating in the same restaurant as a number of dogs. Not acceptable.

Great property, staff, location and food! Breakfast was only slightly a let down as lunch and dinner so excellent. So friendly and can’t wait to come back.
Wi-Fi kept dropping but old property with big thick walls so could do with a few boosters-minor complaint only!

Location and view from bedroom was lovely . Evening meal and breakfast both excellent . Staff really lovely , especially India , the manager , who went above and beyond to help us celebrate our special occasion . Thank you India !

The views were lovely, the property was delightful and the room excellent. The evening meal was very good. The waitresses who served dinner and breakfast were marvellous.
The reception we got on arrival was a bit offhand. OK they were busy but to be told they didn't have anywhere to sit without asking what we wanted was poor. We only wanted a drink, but I guess he assumed we wanted to eat, but he never found out by actually asking.
The barman was quite blunt when serving. A smile would make a big difference.
However we had such a good time that by the time we left they had turned it around.

I liked everything about it. We've eaten there for many years, but this was our first overnight stay. Staff were amazing from the start, helpful and attentive, the room was of a very high standard with access to the garden too. The bar staff were very professional and the food was excellent too. Overall, we had a fantastic stay, and would highly recommend it.
The building is very old and the stairs are narrow for someone with big feet! Apart from that, it was perfect.

We have stayed here on a number of occasions and it place is really special to us. We were lucky enough to get one of the Executive King room and it was amazing. It’s spoilt us now for future visits.
All the staff were friendly and helpful. Food lovely. We would highly recommend The Pheasant.
Prior to our visit I did email requesting a room with a walk in shower for my elderly parents as my dad has mobility issues. Unfortunately they got one over the bath which he couldn’t use.

Breakfast was very good, enjoyed the menu and table service
An area to sit whilst waiting on a table or even after the meal, that wasn’t too near other people dining

Room was excellent, adequately furnished. The bathroom was excellent and shower water pressure first class. Breakfast menu was minimal but adequate and food very tasty. Dinner menu varied, food good but somewhat expensive.
Nothing to really dislike.

Although room was small decor very stylish and had everything we would need. Food good and all the staff very friendly and attentive. Warm and welcoming experience from the moment we arrived.
Lack of space to just sit and enjoy a drink in the bar as most tables seemed to be aimed at dining
