Ideal stopover in Saumur. Located next to the Chateau and very close to the local town.
Our room overlooked the Loire and was spacious.
Modern bathroom and good shower.
Breakfast was good. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Secure parking behind the hotel in its grounds.
L'Essential restaurant is highly recommended (it's at the end of the rear garden)

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff , who all spoke great English too. In a great location just 5 mins walk from the square which has bars & restaurants in case you arrive on the days their restaurant is closed , as we did !
Nothing it was all good .

Everything was perfect!
Room was of an exceptionally high standard, staff are really kind and helpful.
Location was perfect and within walking distance to all the attractions.
Made use of the pool, sauna and Jacuzzi, plus there's secure private parking.
The bed was so big, I thought I had lost my wife during the night!
A perfect stay!

Newly renovated hotel. Great location next to Loire with private parking available on request. Our room looked across to the Chateau - a spectacular view. Reception staff couldn't have been more helpful. Rooms were very comfortable and tea and coffee making facilities available. Pool, hot-tub, restaurant and bar on site. 10 min walk to main square where there are many options for dinner. Great breakfast and good coffee.

Breakfast is good but the staff attitude is brilliant.
Couldn,t book a meal the restaurant is very good and always booked up.

bar area was small

Great location. Beds very comfy and nice products in the bathroom.
The hotel is charming but could do with refurbishment. This may have been reflected in the price we paid

could not fault it

it was so beautiful

all the staff were very welcoming
just a minor quibble - the bath towels were a little on the small size,
and if you are dining at L’Essential, make sure you have a table in the main dining room; the annexe is rather soulless
4.0
great position, large room with good bedside lights and USB aposta. quirky bathroom that was down a few stairs. the attached restaurant at the back ( which hotel recommends) was excellent.
breakfast fine
we parked outside on the road. we didn’t discover a safer car park and the back of the hotel ( in its garden). but the front desk didn’t alert us to it.

We had a spacious room overlooking the garden. The staff was really friendly and accomodating. The hotel has a nice bar and spa facilities too. Very enjoyable stay. Great location, close to many restaurants and bars.

Location was good but the management of the hotel and dining facilities was very poor. Allowing a party of Americans to dominate hotel dining was not what we expected during a two night stay.
The dining room should have been available for guests. Particularly those staying for two or three nights. Poor organisation for a hotel of this status.
4.0
room and bathroom spacious
shower in tub allowed water to spray all over the bathroom floor
4.0
Easy to find and although there were limited communal areas the room was comfortable and well equipped.
I booked this hotel specifically for the electric car charging in the car park for 2 nights but the hotel hadn't got the message. They managed to squeeze us in for 1 night only - but the car charging was just a normal socket and with the UK-European adapter as well it didn't charge our car at all overnight.

Truly magical rooms with a view of the castle, beautiful restaurant & spa facilities
We were given some suggestions of places to visit and told to change our plans from the ones we’d made to the receptions recommendation - but once we got there (wine cellars) they were closed. Would recommend reception updates their information and double checks regularly before sending off guests to tourist attractions
3.5
Location is first class - walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars. View from room over the river was beautiful. Reception staff were friendly and spoke fluent English. Breakfast although expensive was generous. We were lucky to find parking close by and free.
The room was very basic. No comfortable seating - had to sit on the bed or a hard chair. No drawers, bedside tables were just stools. No teamaking facilities. Minibar fridge was unnecessary - could have put drawers there. Not many clothes hangers provided.
