location: very close to hanazono. great for skiing
vibe : local youth hostel feeling. nice common areas n fire place. staff : very helpful with whatver u might need from direction to getting ur car out of the snow.
dated bedrooms : they are simply terrible if ur not 16yo ok with sleeping on bed on nails. showers are hard to master. it's harder to find the right level of lukewarm water than my girlfriend's g spot. the carpet were changed last time my grandma got married. furniture probably came from versailles, antique feeling to put it nicely.
breakfast : ... for u to find out

Cliff and the staff took care of our needs wonderfully.

A perfect place to stay to start your ski day at Hanazono. Cliff and all the staff are super helpful with suggesting places to go, booking restaurants and they offer a free shuttle service to Kutchan and the ski area.

Everything was perfect - I stayed there for three days/two nights and wish I could have spent more time. The inn is lovely, with European/mountain style decoration, slippers available for the guests, and a very homely feeling. My room was very spacious as well. I enjoyed reading books by the fire in the evening and having a copious breakfast every morning while watching the snow fall on the trees outside. The staff members were friendly and helpful: they picked me up from the train station, drove to and from the ski rental shop and the ski lifts every day upon request, ordered and picked up takeaway food for me to eat at the hotel one evening and drove me to a restaurant in Kutchan the next evening. I am counting the days until I go back!

Being a short walk from Hanazono was a major highlight for maximum time on the mountain. Cliff and the staff were so attentive, friendly, and helpful to ensure we knew exactly where to go, what to do, and how to make the most of our time on the slopes. Superb value for money, especially considering the Park Hyatt was a stone’s throw away for 10x the price. Will definitely return and recommend to friends.
On-site food choices are limited to breakfast and Shabu Shabu or Sukiyaki for dinner, but that’s not a negative considering the free shuttle service into town and most of the time is spent outside in the snow anyway.

A hidden gem. I have stayed here before and appreciate its proximity to Hanazono - an easy 5-10min walk with your ski boots on. It is outside Hirafu so is much quieter. This is a great place to stay if your focus is on skiing. Suits couples or families with children. The dedicated team provide 5 star service and help organise restaurant bookings and drop offs and pick ups from restaurants in Kutchan. They also offer a pick up and drop off to the train which is helpful as well. We also like the log fire, availability of board games, and quality dvds. The staff are very professional and knowledgeable- they know the local area, ski areas and food. Its our go to place in Niseko!

Cliff who runs the place was proactive in asking us about our needs as a family and always ready with useful advice, helpful restaurant bookings and generally a helping hand. The Japanese styled tatami and beds room we stayed in was in the ground level below the lobby. The views from both the bedroom windows and the breakfast/meals area are gorgeous and we enjoyed spying on two wood peckers flitting around the snow covered trees. The location is a very walkable seven or so minutes from the Hanazono 308 area.
You have to adjust your expectations for the age of the property. The halls are in heated and it can be chilly in the morning getting to the bathroom and toilets if you don’t have them ensuite. These aren’t negatives about the property itself since there are rooms with such facilities.

Staff were good and helpful with shuttle services
Old fashioned motel with small rooms the bathroom was tiny not appropriate for western travellers who expect more
