The outdoor area with hammock is cool and nice to chill. Jason was really friendly. Free laundry!
Our room was next to a road busy from 4am and it was noisy. No proper A/C in the room :( shower blocked

Very friendly and helpful staff. Outdoor kitchen is very sociable and the hammocks are an excellent place to chill out at the end of the day. Walking distance to both the ferry and the town centre. The staff very kindly also did our laundry for us. Overall, this property is good value for money for how expensive the Galapagos can be!
A couple of cockroaches in our room but nothing unmanageable!

Really friendly staff. Option to hire bikes here for cheap to make your way round the island. Free bunches of bananas next to the hammock area for a quick snack.
Very hot in the room, as are most properties in these islands if air con is not present

Staff was friendly and helpful. Helped us organize last minute tours on the island. Enjoyed a free banana, and lots of free drinking water. We booked a room with a shared bathroom and ended up with a private.
The floor of our room had a bit of a film, but this may be due to the salty water in the air.

Polite and helpful owner, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen. Free laundry service and snorkel gear was great.
Just an info: during rains they have power and water shortages.
It could use a bit of a clean. During the whole stay the floor was not swept once.

The host is great and so helpful.
We couldn’t sleep at all. There’s a bunch of dogs and chickens nearby that kept us up all night. Also the shower was really dirty and the wifi wasn’t working in our room.

This property came highly recommended from fellow backpackers in Santa Clara. The walk to the location is aprox 2 kilometers from the ferry. Check-in is easy even tho the owner did not speak a word of English. He was happy and helpful. He carried my heavy backpack up 3 stories to a women's only room. Which I loved. The women were super sweet and happy too - which I feel is a great indication of the hostel's overall vibe. Location was ideal and close to all of the hot spots. Free laundry too! With a word of caution: All is done in one load so if you have whites, they will not be so white when you collect them - but hey, they will be washed.
The bathrooms have a partial wall - meaning whatever you do-do your roommates can hear you. Our potty did not flush and thankfully no one did number two.

The staff is great, free laundry, fruits to take and a relaxed atmosphere.
The kitchen is not wel equipped and not always clean. The room was pretty dusty and when you stay for a long time they don’t clean the room in between. you get new towels and toiletpaper when you ask for it, but the garbage bins are getting full and the Floors Sandy.

Barking dogs all over the neighborhood.

Friendly and helpfull staff, who also arranged local tours for us; clean and spacious rooms; only 15 minutes walk from the beach and 20 minutes from the pier. The delicious little bananas that were included were the cherry on the cake!
No breakfast option. And no problem for us, but do now the location is in the urban area, so you have view on the reality of local life, poverty included...

The stuff was great and very friendly! Jason did everything to make us comfortable! Called a cab for us, made sure we get the right ferry on time, organized snorkeling stuff for free and made our laundry for free.
Jason’s mother was also very nice and friendly.
Water and Bananas for free.
Nice place to chill in the hammocks in the shadow.
Small kitchen
Due to the sanitary infrastructure on the Galapagos there was a really noisy water pump next to our room.
The Hostal is not at the Beach, if this is important to you, but really just a 5 min walk.

We stayed in the small one of the two. Very quiet, family feeling, nice common area to relax. Laundry included
No air conditioning, only ventilator which often is not enough for Isabella's heat

the staff was very helpful. they could help us with everything that we needed (ferrytickets l, excursions, laundry, etc).
our room was clean and big enough.
it’s a bit of a walk to the centre/beach. we don’t mind walking so this wasn’t a problem for us.
when we stayed there the atmosphere wasn’t very social.
